The Dragonkeepers were basically an order dedicated to raising, caring and protecting the dragons during the Targaryen dynasty. They seem to all be of Valyrian descent and were likely born into their profession, given what high regard they have for the dragons

You two are like the only people who understand the scene between Jace and Rhaenyra.
Jace has been harassed by the greens and their supporters through his whole childhood because of his parentage. Having his own dragon, Vermax, was a reminder of his identity, that he actually is a legitimate Targaryen. But if any bastard could claim a dragon, what does that make him? He also has been saying through out this whole season how insecure he is about his legitimaty and how he wants to fight for it so he is seen worthy for the throne, so it's no surprise that he finally brought it up.
What if those new riders just decide to switch up on them and want to have their own claim to the throne? What if Rhaenyra dies, Jace is her heir, will those men in her council and the rest of the realm that are loyal to Rhaenyra wanna fight for him?
Those bastards have more Targaryen features than Jace and who is to say that the realm won't change their loyalty because of that.
Let's not forget the fact that they now got dragons that are way larger than Jace's own, he would have no chance against them

kinda dislike reactors having parent superiority complex over assessing kid's emotion "don't talk to your mom like that!" he's a good boy all his life... he got frustrated at his current situation... and you know, we don't get to choose our parents, etc... we didn't even choose to be alive

I believe Hugh's mother was Saera Targaryen, she was very promiscuous and the daughter of the conciliator, the greatest king in westerosi history. The greens also have Dreamfyre which is Helaena's dragon, but I am not sure she will be an asset for the greens

3:35 The Velaryons and the Targaryens have married within family for decades, it's no surprise if Corlys had valyrian blood somewhere in his ancestors

As a Rhaenyra Stan I think it's crazy that people think she has been written as a hero/likeable. Her arc is the same as Paul Atreides. She is a cult leader who believes she is the chosen one. Nuance is lost on hotd fans imo.

out of maybe 30 reactors I saw, you guys are the only one that didn't enjoy the episode that much... maybe too much side comments and pause I guess? and you guys forgot lots of details from previous episodes
