    Love the metric or normal. Here in Australia, it’s imperial or normal. I work for a very big hardware company, and it’s very hard to buy imperial nuts and bolts. They’re only available in zinc coated, which lasts 12 months out in the elements at most

    • @tbelding
      @tbelding Год назад +1

      @@suicidebylifestyle9267 Except that the US, Canada, and even Britain use both. There's really no reason _not_ to have both as an option. (We won't discuss liquid units. The American vs British gallon/liquid change is weird. One's 8 lbs, one 10, when you account for accuracy from three hundred years ago) BTW- the US doesn't use Imperial. They use US Customary. See the liquid comment.
      My father's an engineer, and he has some interesting things to say about metric fasteners. It's basically that metric was developed by scientists who didn't understand the real world, and imperial/US customary was developed out of the real world by people who had no clue about science.

I think the part that was bent could probably been flipped the other way but it would have been even better if they designed the handle to be on the bottom. It is basically same parts just have to mount one of the pins on the other side and then turn the handle upside down.

    Sure, depending on the shape you will probably have to remove dust collection equipment and various guards, but it could become useful under the right circumstances. The corner clamps’ match : Kreg’s being less jiggly, when handled, actually means something : it is likely that the threaded rod inside this clamp is machined with greater care, delivering at once more threads per inch. This commands a tighter coupling with the mechanism conveying pressure to the jaws More machining also means : a rod of a better alloy, granting great malleability and its enhanced resistance to brittleness or compression; it also reflects the use of superior processes and machinery that will yield results within narrower tolerances.
    Oh, I forgot : it mainly means that adjustments on the Kreg’s, especially in the long run, will be far more precise!

    The Saker tracing tool does have a sharpener in the cap of the pencil.

    The identibolt could have been a 10 if it wasn't so expensive. I would definitely find it useful.

      Grab a selection of nuts & bolts from the loose fasteners bin at your favorite box store, stick them in a scrap of plywood, & label it with a sharpie.

    The flexi thing would work better if one bandsawed the curve leaving 2=3mm and then ran the router table with the trim bit. No way that little bit should be used to cut half inch ply all by itself. You can do the same operation with splines made from scraps and a few finishing nails. And you'll get a fairer curve.

    There is a really useful sharpener under the tail cap of the mechanical pencil. Or at least there is on mine. It's nice for when you want a good point on your pencil lead.

    On the order page for the Smart Saker 90 degree clamp it says 2 PCS. Were you supposed to get 2 for the $50 price?

    Routers make me nervous. Router bits from sketchy sources even more so! Thanks for risking your life for our entertainment.

    The lock router miter bit is pretty awesome, in my opinion. Well worth the 7 bucks I paid for it.
    Oh, by the way: congratulations, you got scammed. (=

    With the scribing tool you didn't find the teeny weeny sharpener that is in the cap at the bottom of the pencil - sometimes you want a fine point!! Great video though, i've definitely wanted to buy some of this crud and maybe now I will or I won't!!
