- It was good seeing Alice happy again, for the first time in a long time. This should be enough to change her outlook on magic... but of course something shitty has to follow after. There is no break for this girl. Let's hope Sheila survives.....

I will never understand why people hate Alice so much. She is personally one of my favorite characters on this show.
They hate what they cannot understand.
The probably hate her for the mistakes she did. But I'm with you, she's a favorite of mine, too. To be honest, I can't decide which female character in the show is my top favorite.. They're all very awesome.
It was because Alice was to contrast Julia. Think of them as both IVY League girls. Both extremely smart but also very different. Julia was more free spirit and sure of herself. Alice was more rigid and uncertain of herself and her feelings. That is why they became friends in season 5. Besides needing each other to help cope with lose Coldwater. They also brought out the best in each other. Like when those that were stealing from the Library in season 5. Alice was somewhat considering giving the leader what he wanted for the books they stole which was Alice as a wife. Julia said of the table.
Seeing Alice smile in the end of this episode was everything!
Had such conflicting emotions with this scene. Was so glad to see Alice on her redemption arc but yet we all knew The Library would detect the increased ambient magic. That’s just one of the great things this show does, thank you Magicians.
