I can't believe I got this on my first go! I almost ruined it by knocking Dismas's shade into an area he couldn't hit it from! Thankfully Bonnie and Damian had been piling on the damage and we were able to brute force him down before the Shade got out of control!

I've heard people complain this fight is too easy/long but it sure as HELL sets the right tone for a grand finale!
@@DodgeThisBam I kinda agree. The fight is very climatic, but the third phase isn't that hard, as the excultation really makes it easier.
Phase one doesn't hit too many heroes too hard, and blight resist isnt hard to get.
Phase two however hits hard if you can't beat it fast, but only like one hero. The danger here is the token stealing and the haymaker.
Phase 3 has a lot of trickiness in it, which can cause the fights to fail, the changing locks, the proclaimers and the spectres. Locks can't really be outplayed, but proclaimers can be killed quite fast, so you can enter the spectre fight. Locking one person into this doesn't change too much, as the boss itself doesn't do anything different meanwhile, and the spectre just keeps hitting the one person and getting stronger. But you can heal or tank for that one target, so the risk isn't too big. You just have to be sure you don't run out of moves with the locks. And you beat it, you have a free -3 Stress, 33% Heal, and do 20% Damage to the boss (this scales with loathing btw).
During the spectre fights, the other heroes can easily just keep doing damage to the boss. I often only need two or three excultations.
@@DodgeThisBam Well its the same as the final boss in Darkest Dungeon 1, it's not that difficult, but it sets the tone and makes it epic.
