I know I’ve been non-stop talking about how much I just really really love fall. Except it’s definitely hard to get the ~fall feels~ in the city unless you go to Central Park. Which is cute and great, but I wanted to feel super immersed in the season so my two best friends Alessia, Christina, and I took a little girls weekend road trip to the beautiful state of Vermont. Let me be the first to say, Vermont in the fall is stunning. If you need a taste of foliage, crisp air, apple cider donuts, and delicious cheese and wine then I highly recommend Vermont as your next destination.

All in all, we had a pretty low key weekend, but it was exactly what we needed. Lots of wine was consumed, lots of laughs were had, and I am just so thankful for our friendship. I feel rested, re-energized, and ready for the holiday season that is right around the corner.

I'm a late watcher, but I grew up in vermont and live just across the boarder in NH :) I love in the Upper Valley which is a region of VT and NH towns (including Woodstock!)
I worked serveral years in Woodstock and I loved it- my boyfriend at the time even worked at sugar bush

What a great trip! We used to take our kids to see the farm animals nearby but, now that they are grown, and moved away, we go anyway!
I lived in southern Vermont in my teenage years. Finished high school there. I have fond memories☺️💕 If I could of been your tour guide, I would of taken you to vintage stores, historical sites, country stores for a bite of fresh baked pies, hiking, artist workshop villages and apple picking! Plus, if you go again, try late Sept to early October-you will capture the best fall foliage then. Cheers!

Vermont actually has the least diverse population of all US states. Why would anyone want to visit there?

i am from Vermont, family has been here 200 years, my daughter is the ninth generation in our hometown of Waterbury. great little town, come visit us.

I lived for many years just south of Woodstock, Vt. My favorite Vermont Fall activity is to attend the Tunbridge Worlds Fair in Tunbridge, Vt. which is about a half hours drive north of Woodstock. If you ever want to get a feel for what Vermont is all about I would encourage you to check this event out, held every year in Mid Sept.

@@meredithantell2287 Woodstock, Vermont. They probably stayed at the Woodstock Inn (more expensive) or one of the smaller B&B’s or Inns like the shire.

My 7th great grandfather, John Marshall migrated from Massachusetts to Vermont right around the same time that your family was starting out there. If your grand-parents are baby boomers, then that would make it exactly that time! His father was John Marshall Sr, and lived and died in England.

I know this is an old video but I just find it really amazing how you can make lasting relationships with people you meet in ordinary places, places you wouldn't have normally make connections--like the gym where you met your friend Alessia and the airport where you met Kyle.. I think it says a lot about your personality like how spontaneous you are, how you make the best of every moment and how you're so open to meeting new people. OR this could all be me reading too much into things HAHA sorry if this is presumptive but found a new appreciation for your travel VLOGS

Aww your video made me sad because my sister died in March (she was also my best friend) and our favorite thing to do was road trips with the girls. We would rent these beautiful cabins with hot tubs in the woods. Cook lovely meals and drink wine. I miss it so much. When she died our road trips also did because I can’t do them without her now. I wanted to be an old lady road tripping with her but now she’s in heaven. Keep road tripping with the girls and being an old lady sampling cheese and maple syrup because you never know when it’s the last time. Have fun every moment!

I love VT! I used to go every year with my family. The cheese and meat there is...omg it's so good. Next time go to Burlington too, it's so gorgeous but also a little bit of a "city" vibe, but less crazy.
We were a month earlier than you to Vermont. We should've waited and gone to Woodstock instead of Burlington/Colchester/Waitsfield/Northfield, et. al. It rained every day except one. So, we didn't see three lovelies bouncing around or the plush turtleneck. Nonetheless, we saw the beautiful mountains, somewhat like the Appalachians we know so well. We were on second honeymoon and seeking out covered bridges. Thanks for the fun vlog.

That was amusing - thanks for taking me back to town near my high school. Surprised you didn't show the covered bridge or Rockefeller mansion since you were right by them. We used to go swim & hang out in that river in town. At 3:22 you pan past the house Larry Hagman lived in when he was in high school there, near the town green. Check out "New England Legends" podcast "A Vampire in Vermont" (10/11/17) for the story of those buried under the green. Also "Emily's Haunted Bridge" (11/16/17) probably is gonna be of interest. You all should've gone horseback riding in South Woodstock! Stay at the Kedron Valley Inn there, (featured in this old Budweiser ad: ruclips.net/video/SM5KUhh-epU/видео.html) and check in with Laura at the Tack Shop down the road; she'll hook ya up.

what town Emily???? spent time in VT with our daughter, and did a bit more rustic but amazing! stayed in an airbnb in Tunbridge that was built into a barn on 85 acres! hiked Camel Back in the Green mountains, visited Burlington.... take you hubby!
