  • ABC Institute Apprenticeship College (ABCI), the educational and training arm of Associated Builders and Contractors Florida East Coast Chapter, held its graduation ceremony on July 13. The ceremony commemorated 120 dedicated construction apprentices from our ten campuses who completed their classroom education this year.
Depending on the program, students spent up to four years working full-time during the day, while attending up to 200 annual hours in classes at the institute during evenings. ABCI boasts comprehensive training across seven trades and 10 campuses statewide.
Students graduating in the trades of trades line erector, roofing, fire sprinkler, electrical, plumbing, roofing and HVAC celebrated with their families, friends, and fellow classmates at the Charles F. Dodge City Center in Pembroke Pines.
ABCI, headquartered in Coconut Creek, is the single largest apprenticeship education program in Florida. It provides training and debt-free opportunities for individuals seeking careers in construction trades. ABCI invests over $2.6 million annually in local construction, education and training.
As millennials gravitate towards trade jobs amidst a looming worker shortage and escalating student debt crisis, the ABC Institute is a beacon of opportunity and change. ABCI's programs not only equip students with vital skills and debt-free opportunities but also shape resilient careers in the construction industry.
