  • Every single BIG fish we catch is captured "Cast to Catch", almost always with multiple angles. Here is some RAW footage for you to gain some insight on the sequences that comprise the content here at Big Bass Dreams.
This is the 2nd angle of ‪@OliverNgy‬ 's biggest swimbait fish to date.
Go back with us, 5 years on this date on a new adventure on a new body of water. At 17.40lb or 17lbs 7oz, this fish along with Mike Gilbert's fish are the biggest documented and confirmed fish catches caught on video. Cast to Catch to SCALE.
Oliver gives us insight on this life changing sequence.
This is just one of the 3 angles we have that feature a 17.40 personal best for Oliver Ngy. So far this is his biggest bass ever. Would you like to see the final POV angle from the head cam? If you guys have any interest in that, please leave a comment! Wishing everybody out there good fishing, positive vibes and hopefully we can all relate on a similar experience when we see each other on the water!

It’s so amazing how can a basic hobby/sport like this can turn into something that people spend their whole lives on. I absolutely love fishing and never gonna stop until I am not able to cast one more time. Fishing is my passion, my drug, and hopefully my future too. Thank you for uploading this video for us👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Yes Bassing Forever, I too am an addict. My rods live in my truck and I fish almost every day. I live in sw Ms and we have an abundance of state lakes that are stocked with florida bas. Thing is most of these lakes are fed by streams and the florida genes are trickling down to places most people would not equate to big bass.

"I really hope all of you guys get to experience that feeling that I had at that very moment"... I just got to experience that feeling, and I completely agree. Now that I've experienced it, I can't imagine an avid fisherman going an entire lifetime without that giant experience. There's just no way to describe it! My footage has a similar title, with the caveat "In Washington State" behind it. It was one of my goals for the year and my third bass of 2018 was it. (Just shy of double digits)

Just like artists, there is no such thing as the best "fisherman" or the best "dancer" or "artist" or "chef" on planet earth. There are only masters of the game. Once mastered, the masters does not want to become a student again and then becomes salty aka a hater due to (limited skill or competitive reasons). Therefore only putting a limit on themselves. Haters are salty because they only felt like they've reached the level but there are higher levels to be had.
Only if master commits to becoming a student again, he can go beyond the limitations.
Just like Bruce Lee says "If you always put limit on everything you do, physical or anything else. It will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them."
    - Bruce Lee

With a fish that size or any trophy size you shouldn’t probably lift it by lip/jaw but should be supported also ✌️

Really cool seeing what happened that day. Great video and I can't wait to see the rest of your vids. I sense a binge watch coming on. Take care Oliver and best of luck on the water!

That is beyond epic! I would love to see or maybe you have one, a video on the mental side of committing to a big bait on one spot and how you stay focused on your belief that a fish is there. Staying with the big bait and not going to a jig or a smaller swimbait.

Don't know if you know this, but on another video I watched, they wanted to have their fish documented as a world record spotted bass... They had witnesses, several scales, etc. They did the best they could and released her before she was too weak to be released. They sent in the documentation, but since they didn't weigh her on dry land, she wasn't accepted as an official world record.
Great video! Thanks for sharing! As for the hater's and mouther's, it's worse than we can imagine... Ignore them, punch em or pray for them... Not necessarily in that order... Hopefully you don't have to sleep with em, but they're gonna be around!

@bigbassdreams I love the vids keep em’ coming... I really listened to what you said by keep fishing when they’re biting. I fish the Northeast and just stuck a new PB 6.52lbs LMB I was so amped I just stopped fishing. Next time I’m going to keep my cool and keep on fishing. I’m a bank guy so no livewell. Did make sure to get a good release on her though.

BigBassDreams this is a Big Bass Dream!
What a Magnificent Animal you were privileged to experience. What an honour you were given.
    Very Happy for you.
I'm so glad that you and the last fisherman were the ones to catch this beast. I worry sometimes that someone without integrity would be the one. Someone that would dishonour this fish. Someone that would end the dream as soon as it hit their line.
Fantastic story...hopefully someone else will be given the honour to enjoy a catch of a lifetime with this beautiful animal.
    The dream lives on. 😉
