Apple is sick and a lamb died...not the best day on the farm

    It's a serious magnesium deficiency, or stress from the lamb's death... She seemed to be in either mourning or physical shock. Try petting her head and being around her, it takes them a few days to recover from mourning. If she's still behaving the same, it's likely physical illness or magnesium deficiency because of providing milk to her lambs.

      It wasn't her lamb that died. That one was a rejected one from another ewe who didn't even notice the lamb had died unfortunately. Apples babies are doing fine. I agree it's likely due to some stress from nursing twins as just a yearling - I much prefer they have one their first year. She showed signs of barber pole parasites so I treated her for that and she is doing better. Still not out of the woods but much better.
