Your ability to roll verbiage throughout the episodes flawlessly reminds me of a veteran of a classic cooking show. 😂 It’s impressive. No silence. No uhhh. No breaks. Flippin solid!
Excited about collecting these!! Also can't wait till they make some characters from the cartoon that have never been made before. I think Queen Marlena and Cringer are two that come to mind, even though they were made in the Classics line. I wish they would have made He-Man a darker skin tone, like the Classics line, as you showed in your hands. They made him the same skin tone color as all the Origins He-Mans, so you could swap body parts around. Masters of The WWE line, "The Rock" is the correct Filmation He-Man skin tone. I made a Filmation He-Man with that figure, and the Super7 Filmation He-man head from Club Grayskull. Looks great! :)
It all started for me when my big brother said he didn't like to play with all the He-man toys anymore that he got for Sinterklaas (the Dutch version of Santa Claus). I was around 3 years old at that time. I remember my mother asking me: "Do you want to have these toys?" and I really jumped for joy. All at once I got He-man, Teela, Roboto, Buzz-Off, Man-E-Faces, Skeletor, Evil-Lyn, Clawful, Whiplash, Cobra Khan, Hordak, Modulok, The Dragon Walker, Spydor, Stridor and The Fright Zone. For a long time that was the best day of my life. Haha. I also watched the cartoon as a child. But I mostly played with the toys. And... I was always looking for a nice stick to use as a sword. I always had long red scratches on my back haha
I wish S7 would rerelease the classic He-Man ultimates line. I missed out the first go round in 2017. Now they're very expensive on ebay. Price ranges anywhere from $150.00-$300.00 per. I guess it depends on the person. He-Man still holds up to me.
Kyle, the other sword is the Sword of the Ancients that was featured in an episode that I don’t remember now. The mask was in the episode as well. Keep rocking brother!
The overall figure looks excellent to me, but in my opinion, the shade of yellow in the hair is too light!!! It should be a mix of orange and ochre yellow, in other words, much darker! Then, in my opinion, He-Man would be perfect!
I picked up some of the MotU Origins line and they are cool having modern articulation. The line though has not been selling well here and they raised the price from $14 to $23 so it has been a tough sell for the casual MotU collectors like me. Evil-Lyn has been warming pegs at my local Toys R Us so long they are going to have to start charging her rent at this point. I agree about wanting a HeMan and Skeletor. The reason I got some of the line was seeing HeMan and Skeletor on the pegs and I never had them as a kid as I was born in ‘83 so my first toy line I got big into was TMNT and MotU was on the way out by that point
Definitely getting these. Masterverse was good but the style just didn't scratch that MOTU itch for me. Loved Origins but Walmart was so clogged with Skeletor and He-Men that they skipped over several waves and I missed some important characters. This cartoon series is exactly what I want in MOTU. Im going to order these online so I don't risk missing any.
I'm liking this HeMan more than I want too. I've been burnt out on HeMans and Skeletors for a while now because....how many do you need? I'd decided to just collect the other characters. But this, very annoyingly, might be changing that. (But it's the Turtles of Grayskull that I'm psyched about!)
Being a member of the "double up club" I can say they never mentioned the space issue with the membership. :) He-man sword sheath, was first introduced in the He-man 40th anniversary 4 pack with ol' duck lips.
I know it’s essentially a new line, but I believe Mattel is still marketing the Cartoon Collection as a refresh of the main Origins line. This is the new phase at retail with Cartoon and Fan-Favorite re-issues shipping together in waves, while the vintage figures will continue as Mattel Creations exclusives. It’s basically what Mattel (and then Super7) did with Classics, where they split the line into two concurrent sub-lines that complement each other: Collector’s Choice (the main Classics line), and Club Grayskull (the animated line). Anyway, on to my thoughts… Beast Man looks unmistakingly like Beast Man to me, as you said. I can see it now with the color being a bit off, but there’s absolutely no doubt in my mind that it’s “Filmation” Beast Man. I’ve seen some comments in the Facebook groups that said it looks absolutely nothing like him, and those comments make zero sense to me. I do agree now though that the color could have been a bit of a deeper red. He-Man looks fantastic! Again, you show this figure to the average person who grew up in the 80s, they’re gonna tell you it’s He-Man from the cartoon series! Definitely looks better than the version from the 40th Anniversary set! I’m still about a year and half behind on the mainline Origins, but I’ll definitely try to start collecting these when I can. One thing I’m kind of surprised about is that the mini-comics don’t follow the Filmation animation style, but perhaps there are legal reasons for that. Still, I’m hoping that this refresh will indeed be what the line needs to get it back on store shelves. My Walmart stopped carrying Origins completely months ago. Will be nice to see MotU on the shelves again!
I'll collect these side by side with Origins. If they start remaking every vehicle and playset in cartoon style..... ooof. That's gonna be rough on the display space.
The complaint l have is the figures have the same body structure . Mattel should have given the figures the sculpt like the actual 80s. Strong arm plundor Lord masqu the gamemaster Will be excellent figures from the filmAtion series can be made. I like having a shield better. Good video sir
Started up in the double up club on origins and dropped off, sold some…distribution in UK went weird on the line. So this line, I plan to once again double up…on pre order for me. So let’s see ;-)
I love the filmation figures I'm getting mine they are on the way. Amazing review. How do you feel about turtles and he man cross event. I can't wait do a review on my filmation figures and turtles he man figures. What a time to be alive.
i am just loving how everyone is getting these so early and mine say not till jan. 2024. anyone wat to tell us how this is happening or is it a big secret mattel don't want us knowing about like they did with Duplico.
reminds me of the 2017 super 7 line , just reshaped heads with origins body....... will i be intrested in these ? nope not for me , i got all the vintage and up to date with the motu origins.
Not a fan of the original toys. Not impressed with the new ones. I like the “ classic “ one you brought out where he is standing straight. Don’t like the bend knees as default.
I hated the cartoon and it pretty much ruined MOTU for me as a kid but these are very well done and those who did love the toon should be happy with them.
@KylePeterson1980 Thank you for the correction. I thought cartoon collection He-man/ Beastman was part of the re-release Mer-Man/ She-Ra as one wave. These lines get overwhelming for me sometimes. But I love it all. 🤘
I get they wanted to do a 'toony style' BUT those exaggerated thighs look wonky, and they always give him these terrible facial expressions. Sadly, I ended my run with Classics and don't want to look back despite some things the line is now getting that classics never will... 🙁
This makes absolutely NO SENSE. If you didn’t like the show, then you don’t collect these figures…that’s it! The entire appeal of this new line is, THEY LOOK EXACTLY LIKE THE ANIMATED FILMATION SHOW YA DOPE! Ugh… and you talk waaaaaaaaaay, waaaaaaay to much. Get to the unboxing already….. are you a toy designer? Are you a toy manufacturer? If not, just open it and stop all the hot air jibber-jabbing! Aaaaaaahhhhhhh!

If super 7 could they would, but they no longer have the heman license mattel took it away from them.
Absolutely love the look of this new line. As long as the price doesn't jump up on these I'm all in.
Definitely part of the Double up Club, but more on Masterverse then on Origins.
Great figs, good review.

Yeah I showed him in this video in the comparison shot
Definitely picking up Heman and Skelator
I agree. Not a fan of that light orange. That prototype was perfect.
Just got mine today too here in London UK
I only have MOC of the characters I had as a kid plus a few other heavy hitters.

I guarantee Mattel finds a way to re-release Beast Man in the correct red sooner rather than later.
Two things they can't get right beastmans color and he mans eyebrows
Easy pass on this and Turtles Crossover But of sure im in on all Origins
