This is truly the best video on RUclips for consective odd intergers! I have a big text in my 9th grade algebra class in two days and this helped me so much!
Just a suggestion: For the second problem, for example, couldn't you have just added the x's down like a typical addition problem instead of a long, linear string? It saves a step of writing it out, and that was always my trouble with algebra--my head would get swimming with too many numbers.
I love Shirely...got to see several of her shows!!!! Do you have a video where a problem like this is given the third or first numbers and the sum?one problem I am having trouble with is:the average number is 6. the first number is 5. What is the sum of the other three numbers.
Sure Jay! We'll add it 2 our list! Check out problem 3 in this video, it's similar to a boat in the river problem. ruclips.net/video/N7uLkYd857M/видео.html
When I apply, for the 1st question, 2n+1 & 2n+3 , I have the same answer // It looks to me 2n+1, 2n+3 follows the logic ( I haven't studied maths for long)
Both setups work because they both define two values that are two units apart. Use whichever setup you prefer. The setup used in the video allows a student to use one definition for consecutive even or odd numbers. Using 2n and 2n+2 for consecutive even numbers and 2n+1 and 2n+3 for consecutive odd numbers where n is an integer fine tunes the setup for each scenario but restricts the student as now they can't use either setup universally.
I never said that 2, 4, 6, and 8 were odd. I showed how to setup problems to solve for consecutive odd integers. Unfortunately, you must have misunderstood the process. Follow your teacher’s instructions and good luck on your next test.
Thanks for helping with plenty of worked through example

Happy 2 help Felipe! Thanks 4 the feedback!😁
Thank you. Please do stop making videos this help is much needed
You’re the best thank you so much
So Even or Odd, it doesnt matter? they are bought x,x+2... and so on
+Jhey Brent Bondoc That's correct! Their setup is identical!
this whole time I've been fuckin wit x,x+3,x+5 lmao

nice video thanks
+Shrek Here! Happy 2 help!
sir. can u teach me a clock word problem, boat in a river problem and how to prove in trigonometry??
Sure Jay! We'll add it 2 our list! Check out problem 3 in this video, it's similar to a boat in the river problem. ruclips.net/video/N7uLkYd857M/видео.html
thank u sir! it helps me a lot in answering my finals examination in algebra yesterday!!
Thankyou
Do u have consecutive integers with translating in the same problem

What about 3 consecutive odd integers ?
Use the following:
First number = x
Second number = x + 2
Third number = x + 4
I follow what you do but my teacher tell me it was wrong. 2, 4, 6 , 8 is not odd its even. I got a zero score. 😭😭😭 what will happen now?

@@FortBendTutoring Oh. Maybe I really misunderstood the process. Thank you! :)
