My teacher cannot explain anything, you have saved me painstaking hours of trying to solve this and explained everything perfectly and plainly. THANK YOU SO MUCH
One of a few best series sites on RUclips that I experienced for easy step by step thorough explanation with algebra and mathematics. Enjoy the voice for the introduction, pleasant and friendly voice. Also, great to have the option for personal tutoring if needed.
mr whittttttttt !!!!! ive learned so much by watching your videos. i watched all of your word problems and saved this one for last because its the hardest for me. from all ive learned from you i kinda figure out a way to solve this problem with out making a table. thank you so much :)
Why you are not at a million subscribers I'll never know. My math game has increased by 100 fold because of you. Thank you so much for greatness. Do you have any quadratic videos?
Mr. Whitt, you have succeeded in taking a math topic which I have always struggled with look easy to solve. Mixture word problems have been a challenge for me particularly in analyzing the data provided and knowing how to apply it. The 3 x 3 table helps break down that information and helps to organize it into a coherent and usable form. Dare I say I actually had fun working through these problems once your video showed me how to approach them. My brain had to work overtime but it was well worth the effort :). As always excellent teaching! Thank you.
Im studying for my fire exam in 4 days. This one type of question has been killing me for weeks on end trying to figure out the easiest way to do it. Thank you
Hey Mr. mitt... Lovely video. ANd I really really loved the way you have solved these questions. How would you use the same method for question like this: Solution Y is 30% liquid X and 70 percent water. If 2 kilograms of water evaporate from 8 kg of solution Y and 2 kg of solution Y are added to the remaining 6 kg of liquid, what percent of this new solution is liquid X?
The idea is 2 understand that solving 4 the variable does not always answer the question. That’s why labeling is so important. I know to continue working because I know what the question is I need to answer and because the variable alone doesn’t answer that question. Keep practicing and searching 4 other explanations that may help you.
I meant that it’s an unknown quantity at this point because we weren’t given the exact amount in the word problem which is why we assign the variable “x” to represent that value. In other words, I’m not currently aware of the fact that I’ll need 2 gallons @ 5% so I’m allowing the variable to “stand in” for the amount I need until the end of the process. I hope that helped. Thanks 4 the question Shauntay!👨🏾🏫
i used alligation method and it came out in just 3 sec .... x 20 5 10 8 (10-5) (8-5) 2/3=x/20--> 3x = 40--> x = 40/3 i think rest can also be solved by this approach
Mr. Whitt, this is the BEST mixture problem video on the internet. Thanks!!

Mr whitt do you have a video about business and investments problems
This video is one for investments with simple interest involved: ruclips.net/video/6AUiaf3ppBk/видео.html
how you get the 1.36 if 1*94 is 94 and them you subtract 128-94 wich is equal to 34, I'm confuse there, can someone help explain
If 94x = 128, then you must divide 128 by 94 to find the value of x. 128 divided by 94 is 1.36, rounded to the 100ths place.
tnx for ur vids studying for pisay in ph
+noel mercado Good luck 2 you Noel!

i undesrtand to solve the algebra but i have no idea or clue how to set up the equation or find the amount????

You’re very welcome Kevin!
Hi, these questions are likely to see on the GED exam?
Hello Shasha. Refer to a recent GED guide/exam for reference.
@@FortBendTutoring Thank you very much
Great video, but why doesn't (x+20) get multiplied by 100 to result in 100x+200?
It was used to eliminate the decimal. Once the decimal was multiplied by 100, it was exhausted.
thanks
You're welcome Filo! Thanks 4 watching!
I get lost the secondary solution of the problem like 5-x = the answer help me plzzz
The idea is 2 understand that solving 4 the variable does not always answer the question. That’s why labeling is so important. I'm lost when you said you didn't know the amount for the first solution. The word problem with Samir.
Reviewing for USTET tomorrow 😓
+Ave Rosales Good luck on the USTET Ave!
i know this was a year ago, but how did USTET go? Studying for UPCAT rn.
Why did you create decimals if later you get rid of them? It's easier to solve the problem by using percents as is.
Personal preference. Thanks 4 sharing!
this saved me i would have failed math especially when my teacher isnt good at explaining lessons
Glad 2 hear it! Thanks 4 watching!
tnx
Happy 2 help!
hey, do you have an app out?
Not at the moment Christopher. Great idea though!
i used alligation method and it came out in just 3 sec ....
x 20
5 10
8
(10-5) (8-5)
2/3=x/20--> 3x = 40--> x = 40/3
i think rest can also be solved by this approach
wooowwww...... thankkkssss ssooo mmuucchh!
+Vincent Acejo My pleasure Vincent! Thanks 4 watching!
I love you
I love you 2 Autumn! Thanks 4 caring! 👨🏾🏫😁
why did you multiply them with 100?
To eliminate the decimals in the equation.
but why 100?
It’s due to the smallest place value which is the hundredths place in this case.
thank you very much,God bless
