A superb "lecture" from Dr Starkey - his analysis of how Blair undermined our democracy is eye-opening. It goes a long way to explaining why the majority of the population feel unrepresented. It is clear that if the UK is to be saved we'll need a Restoration.

Bless no. The people are voting Tory now for the same reason they vote Labour at the GE. They see no alternative. If there were a GE tomorrow the Tories would be in and the people would start voting Labour in reply. The People are bereft of intelligence, imagination, and political literacy. For far too long now the UK has been held hostage by this duoploy. Two tiny parties often flirting with bankruptcy without virtue or nouse detached from reality giving the People an illusion of choice every 4 years or so. Rerform are no better. They will be looking to form a compact with the Tories now Tice's comments have revealed they are without solutions to mass immigration and a membership that is slowly grasping that a vote for Reform is a vote for 'Civic Nationalism'. It is not FPTP either. It is simply that the People have no control over MP's and so government. MP's are the free of freelancers. It is a shame the People don't have access to a mechanism like the 'Party Whip'. A plague on all their houses.

Good evening David; I've been what is grandly entitled, an Investigative Research Professional for some 36 years. In that time I've seen and learned an enormous amount. I've watched this country being thrown into chaos politically. I blame the public and the wholesale apathy they've been persuaded into by successive self-serving governments. This apathy manifests itself in the recent General Election where we saw the lowest turnout in history!
My greatest fear is that Starmer seeks to cancel all future elections and establish a one party state! A tyrannical dictatorship.

The productive classes are treated as slaves by these people who think they know best, best for whom.. Intellectuals read lots of history like David, and from this history they repeat the mistakes of the past, based on the standing of the writer, not the outcome of this opinion. Winston Churchill was far from infallible, and Thatcher's legacy is shown when we see the absolute degrading of parliament, and the governments of resent times have no control of anything that counts, the corporate world owns policy and law.

What Starkey fails to see regarding the Judo Christian view is this nation founded its morals on the Bible and what you believe dictates how and why you pass a law affecting morality etc. Ethics has to have a value system. At one time this nation was Christian even those who were not so called church goers. Accepted or at leat worked within the then current Morality of the nation. You are what you believe in as your core values. Marriage sexuality the treatment of your neighbour the laws of monetary policy Usury etc. All laws have to be derived by a value system a guide and that was the Christian faith as pointed out in his Book Melvin Bragg “The book of Books,” ie the Bible and its effect on the Western world . look at Islam’s it faith dictates its law. The question is where do we get out Ethics and Morality and it does not always mean what the majority thinks. In the book of Judges the phrase ,“ each man did what was right in his own eyes,”. It doesn’t work. We live in a society today that passes its laws by who is in government they decide for the nation. The Bible quotes from the Psalms “Thy word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Dear Mr Starkey you cannot devolve the custom Law, ethics of a nation without having a core belief and our nation had this in the Jude’s Christian teachings of the Christian faith. What we have now if a factious nation full of minorities and the winner is who is in power. The road to Hell is paved with good intentions what this nation had was the word of God which is now being eroded because maybe some like yourself find challenging and may even (with caution you are angry with). I do watch you youtube spots because you perception on many issues is good. But you fall at the last post “what governs my view and values ?”Where is certainty ? you have no answers.
There is such in Christ who is the way the truth and the life. Solomon the King of Israel was granted great wisdom and was renowned for it as he prayed that he was like a child and “how do I govern this great nation,”and God blessed him till he turned aside from God. In Christ we have one who is greater than Solomon . A preacher once said who was not English “ That this nation had an empire from the best part of 200 year because it exported the Gospel. Yes there were those who abused colonialism but untold missionaries went out risking life and limb because they came, they brought education medical help. Fought to remove Suti remove the slave trade and the list goes on. Righteousness exalts a nation says the Psalmist. We were a God fearing nation which led to true empathy toward others because it was driven by God. No more and alas we are paying the price with this “Woke,” I pray The God of all Israel who nether slumber or sleeps will grant his mercy on our nation. Every Blessing to you
