I think you are absolutely correct. Thanks for the reply and heads up. Most importantly thank you for showing tact at my oversight--something severely lacking on the Internet. Much appreciated.
Barry Clark gun was to weasy to short and wasnt a true open worlded experince now red dead redeption now theres a real western open worlded game gun was just fail
Man, I just love these random couch sessions that you guys do. I honestly get just as excited for these video uploads as i get when you guys upload new game chasing episodes. One of the best shows on youtube, hands down. This is awesome! Please keep it coming!
Indigo Prophecy without a doubt. Made by Quantum Dream, same company that made Heavy Rain. I was probably 11 or 12 when it came out and nobody ever talked about it. It's on PS2 and the uncensored version is on steam and Limited Run brought it to physical copy on PS4. And I'm glad Limited Run makes physical copies of some of the most underrated games ever.
Really? Where I'm from people dick ride that game way too hard. Ask anyone for a retro recommendation up here and the first thing they'll say is Mario rpg. Sometimes it feels like it's the only game that exists IMO that's how much people talk about it
Chadtronic As much as Super Mario RPG is a likeable game.. I found it really simplistic as an RPG... It was RPG "light"... It definitely gets way too much hype in my opinion.
Edits at 3:17 & 3:40 had me fucking laughing -holy shit. Billy's random noise "Baaaa-/ edit then alpha in the Yoshi hat for no damn reason. You three are the highlights of my day. 😆😂😝
Sleeping Dogs is such an Amazing game. OMG. I spent hours playing that it. Side quest, Main quest, Dlc and all. I bought it for the ps4 just to play it again.

The fact that you guys brought up Twisted Sister (one of my favorite bands) made my whole day much better, the video of course in general also made my day. Twisted Sister is overlooked imo except the 2 hit songs they had, I consider their debut album Under the Blade a true hidden gem and their 2nd album You can't stop rock n' roll
Tiger Heli was great in the arcade, never played it on the NES. I feel like the original King's Quest's don't get enough love. They were so much fun and I can still play them today and enjoy them. I felt they were so ground breaking and seems like nobody ever talks about them for what they did for the industry.
You ever heard of Mamorukun Curse! on the PS3? It's an underrated import that plays like a bullet hell Pocky and Rocky with some unique mechanics like cursing your opponents to make them stronger but in return getting more points. It's a really fun co-op game that no one's ever played.
Even though the sequels are 2009 and after, Shantae for the GBC, and all the sequels so far are horribly underrated, and some of the best Metroidvania type games around.
The Game Grinder DUUUDE!!! I LOVE the Shantae games. I backed the 1/2 Genie Hero Kickstarter. I wish it were easier to get a copy of the OG Gameboy Color game.
There's a EU site that does CIB repros of the original. Totally worth it. I hadn't fallen in love the with games while the Kickstarter was going, and I really really wish I hadn't missed out.
It's true. No one ever talks about Sleeping Dogs, or none of the other True Crime games. Another series I like that never gets talked about is the Driver series. Another series I like that never gets talked about is the Ar Tonelico series. It's one of my favorite series of all time.
Here's some I think needs more love Radiata Stories (PS2) Illusions of Gaia/Time (SNES) Vexx (PS2, Xbox, Gamecube) Black (PS2, Xbox) Conquest of the Crystal Palace (NES)
Operation Vietnam on Nintendo DS is a solid game. Any of of the Dukes of Hazzard PS1 games or Dukes of Hazzard: Return of the General Lee on PS2/Xbox is a treat for Dukes fans as the original voice cast did that.
He releases a video every Monday where him and his long time friend Mike play a random game. He has gotten away from ridiculing bad games and just plays through games your average person knows very little about. He had a family now I'm pretty sure so they are not as creative as his past videos he was best known for but still fun to watch.
As far as mainstream games, I don't hear anything about Spyro or Crash from PS1, but maybe that's just because they're given. Otherwise, just looking at my shelf, some games I can see that I don't hear people talk about very often are Trauma Center: Second Opinion, Lego Marvel Super Heroes, De Blob, Dark Void, and the Bionic Commando remake for PS3/360.
Deefinitely Solstice and Galaxy 5000 as regards NES. Especially the first one is a true hidden gem with fantastic music and a very innovative gameplay for the time
Personally, I feel that "under rated" and "no one really talks about" are the same. For me, I'd say: E.G.G.(DC) Binary Domain(360/PS3) Vanquish(360/PS3) Joe and Mac(SNES) Shadow of the Damned(360/PS3) NiER(360/PS3) Hybrid Heaven(N64) Gitaroo Man(PS2) Dragon Spirit(NES) That's just off the top of my head : )
Fuck yea shadow of the damned and Nier are awesome! Though I'm pretty sure the joe and Mac series are incredibly popular (at least they are up in Canadia land)
An underrated game imo is Tales of Monkey Island (no, it has nothing to do with the Tales of- series). I think it's really good and I really enjoyed the story and the atmosphere. I never hear anyone talk about it.
Games that didn't get enough love and recognition... The Magic of Scheherazade (NES) Guardian Legend (NES) Destiny of an Emperor (NES) Crystalis (NES) Willow (NES) The entire Dragon Warrior (NES) series... especially three... For me, Dragon Warrior 3 was a far far better RPG than final fantasy... by a long shot... Oh... and my personal strategy favorites... Bandit Kings of Ancient China(NES) and Romance of the Three Kingdoms 2(NES). In fact, I'd argue Guardian Legend is one of the all time greatest NES games ever made. It's what I would call a modern game in a time of platformers and action titles... It was a truly unique game in my opinion. SNES... Has a ton of games I feel were overlooked... but a few in particular... E.V.O. Metal Marines Super Conflict
Billy got shutdown damn he looked like he was gonna shed a gangsta tear, and wreck less the yakuza missions is a game a lot of people don't know about and it's one of my favorite games ever.
The mystery as to why Melvor was holding the bottle of rubbing alcohol has been solved. And Tiger Heli is a great game. Picked it up when I met Y'all in NC.
Ultimate Muscle: Legends vs New Generation on the GameCube. A wrestling game that is exclusive to the GameCube (there is a PS2 sequel but it sucks monkey chodes) and is an excellent wrestling game. Has a 4 player multiplayer mode too. This game and the anime itself don't get talked about. Will try out Tiger Heli. I like copter shooters.
My picks for games no one talks about... General Chaos - great turn based strategy game on the Genesis Jet Force Gemini - tons of hype when it came out but no one talks about it Giants: Citizen Kabuto - great strategy game. Better on PC but PS2 port wasn't bad Enchanted Arms - not the best RPG but it's good and you can get it for under 5 bucks for the 360
Valkyrie Profile and the Dragon Quest series those two JRPGs have a very niche following overseas. Hell fans like myself have been begging Square Enix to bring the 3ds version of Dragon Quest 7 to NA for years. As for Valkyrie Profile, it is way overdue for a new game.
Kabuki quantum fighter is an awesome NES game that is not so talked about. It's like ninja gaiden meets power blade but the special weapon is your troll hair.
Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier for DS is an awesome fast-paced RPG where you are constantly linking combos together with different characters and timing your button-presses to do extra damage. I never have talked with anyone else who has played this game and I think I was one of the only ones who reserved it at the Gamestop I went to. This was one badass ds game and it even had the beautiful yet deadly Kos-Mos
Monster Tale on the DS. Really good Metroidvania type game. I had so much fun playing that game and the OST is pretty decent. Gets way over looked! Actually a lot of DS games get overlooked.

Jap Import of Deep Freeze on the PS1. I got it pirated when it came out. Bought the real thing since. It's basically like Hard Edge which is another forgotten game or Resident Evil with out the horror. Also Chase the Express. I think Chase the Express has a different name in the states, maybe Hard Edge does too.
Sleeping dogs is one of my favorite sandbox games because one of those titles remind me of Yakuza games and the storyline is so good and characters will really well voice acted.
I try most games,i dont care about what people say about them ,some people say the game sucks some people say its a good game but i always buy it and try it before i judge it
Vectorman on Sega Genesis fantastic game, one of my favorites from childhood, doesn't get enough love in my opinion. I would start a review channel and review it myself
GUN is another game that doesn't get enough love.
Yeah, but this came out way before Red Dead Redemption.
Barry Clark I think he means Red Dead Revolver
I think you are absolutely correct. Thanks for the reply and heads up. Most importantly thank you for showing tact at my oversight--something severely lacking on the Internet. Much appreciated.
Barry Clark gun was to weasy to short and wasnt a true open worlded experince now red dead redeption now theres a real western open worlded game gun was just fail
So a game has to be really long, really hard and open world to be a good game? Your response is just fail.
Man, I just love these random couch sessions that you guys do. I honestly get just as excited for these video uploads as i get when you guys upload new game chasing episodes. One of the best shows on youtube, hands down. This is awesome! Please keep it coming!
No 999? Now THAT is a TRULLY UNDERRATED master piece, including its sequel Zero Escape.
I feel like Super Mario RPG goes by unnoticed a lot. Which is weird because it's a Mario game. I miss Geno and Mallow :(
It's one of my favorite SNES games
Really? Where I'm from people dick ride that game way too hard. Ask anyone for a retro recommendation up here and the first thing they'll say is Mario rpg. Sometimes it feels like it's the only game that exists IMO that's how much people talk about it
Chadtronic That game is really popular now, back when it first released it wasn't popular.
Chadtronic As much as Super Mario RPG is a likeable game.. I found it really simplistic as an RPG... It was RPG "light"... It definitely gets way too much hype in my opinion.

Gunsmoke on NES, Super Punch-Out!! on SNES & Chefs Love Shack on N64.
I remember playing Tiger Heli in the Arcade with Van Halen "Jump" looped on a Sony Walkman :)
When I started watching this I said to myself "if thirteen isn't on here I'm gonna be disappointed" now I'm happy
You ever heard of Mamorukun Curse! on the PS3? It's an underrated import that plays like a bullet hell Pocky and Rocky with some unique mechanics like cursing your opponents to make them stronger but in return getting more points. It's a really fun co-op game that no one's ever played.

Tell me, please. My gameboy/GBC collection is extremely poor.
Look up RetroGameLab Shantae. I'm not sure if links are acceptable.
Thanks!
Deon Sanders Prime Time on the Genesis. Great sports game, one of the first I can remember that had create a player, and player taunts as well.
I need to play this.. never knew he had a game lol
It's true. No one ever talks about Sleeping Dogs, or none of the other True Crime games. Another series I like that never gets talked about is the Driver series. Another series I like that never gets talked about is the Ar Tonelico series. It's one of my favorite series of all time.
Black on PS2. Nobody ever really talked about it where I'm from. It's a great first person shooter, love the weapons, and the story is amazing.
Here's some I think needs more love
Radiata Stories (PS2)
Illusions of Gaia/Time (SNES)
Vexx (PS2, Xbox, Gamecube)
Black (PS2, Xbox)
Conquest of the Crystal Palace (NES)
tiger heli has no ending, it just loops back to the beginning and that just shook my belief system as a kid. "what do you mean it has no ending?"
Disney's Castle of Illusion is amazing.
Operation Vietnam on Nintendo DS is a solid game. Any of of the Dukes of Hazzard PS1 games or Dukes of Hazzard: Return of the General Lee on PS2/Xbox is a treat for Dukes fans as the original voice cast did that.
I got an NES with the Power Pad Xmas of 88'. Tiger Heli, Section Z, Contra and Zelda were the games I got with it.
Vanquish. The Saboteur. Freedom Fighters. King of Dragons on snes.
Yeah, Vanquish! That game is fucking insane! I hope it gets a follow up!!!
They need to step up their production and show clips of the games as they talk about them. AVGN has been doin it since 2005.
Jeffrey Werner Is AVGN still active?
He releases a video every Monday where him and his long time friend Mike play a random game. He has gotten away from ridiculing bad games and just plays through games your average person knows very little about. He had a family now I'm pretty sure so they are not as creative as his past videos he was best known for but still fun to watch.
Freedom Fighters was awesome
Bully is a great game that a lot of people don't talk about.
I just bought XIII for the PS2, AlphaOmegaSin recommended it and I saw it on the flea market. Thank you!
At 6:40 Alpha looks like he's getting ready for a 5-second pose with Edge and Christian haha!
Deefinitely Solstice and Galaxy 5000 as regards NES. Especially the first one is a true hidden gem with fantastic music and a very innovative gameplay for the time
Personally, I feel that "under rated" and "no one really talks about" are the same. For me, I'd say:

Vanquish(360/PS3)
Joe and Mac(SNES)
Shadow of the Damned(360/PS3)
NiER(360/PS3)

Alpha, has like a billion sassiness points for wardrobe in this one.
*HEY CHODES WHATS YOUR OPINION ON THE ALMIGHTY STEEL PANTHER?*
An underrated game imo is Tales of Monkey Island (no, it has nothing to do with the Tales of- series). I think it's really good and I really enjoyed the story and the atmosphere. I never hear anyone talk about it.
Games that didn't get enough love and recognition...
The Magic of Scheherazade (NES)

The entire Dragon Warrior (NES) series... especially three... For me, Dragon Warrior 3 was a far far better RPG than final fantasy... by a long shot...

Metal Marines
Super Conflict
Billy got shutdown damn he looked like he was gonna shed a gangsta tear, and wreck less the yakuza missions is a game a lot of people don't know about and it's one of my favorite games ever.
Power Stone series on Dreamcast
The mystery as to why Melvor was holding the bottle of rubbing alcohol has been solved. And Tiger Heli is a great game. Picked it up when I met Y'all in NC.
I would love another entry into the Billy Interviews series. Shirts optional.
Also what do I have to do to get a cartoon this year?
Ultimate Muscle: Legends vs New Generation on the GameCube. A wrestling game that is exclusive to the GameCube (there is a PS2 sequel but it sucks monkey chodes) and is an excellent wrestling game. Has a 4 player multiplayer mode too. This game and the anime itself don't get talked about.
Will try out Tiger Heli. I like copter shooters.
I've been playing Heart of Darkness recently. Definitely a very unique title just as Out of this World was. You either hate or love those games!!!
Power Blade on NES
Cyborg justice and Ghostbusters for the Mega Drive. Really good games that i never hear anyone mention.
My picks for games no one talks about...
General Chaos - great turn based strategy game on the Genesis
Jet Force Gemini - tons of hype when it came out but no one talks about it
Giants: Citizen Kabuto - great strategy game. Better on PC but PS2 port wasn't bad
Enchanted Arms - not the best RPG but it's good and you can get it for under 5 bucks for the 360
Valkyrie Profile and the Dragon Quest series those two JRPGs have a very niche following overseas. Hell fans like myself have been begging Square Enix to bring the 3ds version of Dragon Quest 7 to NA for years. As for Valkyrie Profile, it is way overdue for a new game.
Solbrain/Shatterhand for the Famicom/NES. Another great underrated game.
tiger heli was a favorite of mine as a kid still have it to
Kabuki quantum fighter is an awesome NES game that is not so talked about. It's like ninja gaiden meets power blade but the special weapon is your troll hair.
Can I get the name and number of your guys pusher? Seems like he has some amazing stuff.
Black on PS2 was an awesome fps and laid the foundations to many of todays fps, never hear anyone talk about it though

Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
You guys smoked a lot of pot before this right? LOL
7:33 lol!! Mine would be Kid Chameleon on Sega Genesis
Also really loved Cyberstadium Series: Base Wars for NES. It was baseball with robots and it was awesome!
At first i didn't really see a resemblance between Jay, and Dodongo..... Now i do.
U don't know how unknown this game is but SSX Tricky for XBox, PS2, and Gamecube.
Everyone knows that game
MrIamcrusty Yeah, my dumb ass phone decided to change I to U so thats my fault.
+MrIamcrusty Your thumbnail goes perfectly with your comment, lol.
Monster Tale on the DS. Really good Metroidvania type game. I had so much fun playing that game and the OST is pretty decent. Gets way over looked! Actually a lot of DS games get overlooked.
Legend of Dragoon is a pretty underrated game. Shinobi on the ps2, there are so many!
Awesome video guys! I laughed so hard throughout this video haha, and the games you mentioned I agree are under rated or are over looked. Sleeping Dogs definitely was a great game, I liked it more than the GTA series. The story for Sleeping Dogs felt more solid and since it was in another country it had a culture switch to it which help capture my interest.
Keep up the awesome work guys! I look forward to seeing you guys at the "letsplaygamingexpo" and "Retropolooza".
It's hard to think of games that don't have enough buzz... I dunno, this may be too recent, but I really dug Kid Icarus: Uprising, and it seems to go largely ignored when people talk about the 3DS' game catalogue.
The Guardian Legend, my favourite game on the NES.
3D DOT GAME is amazing !! Seriously it is an old-new school video game .
These Chodes are listing a bunch of well known games. There's a reason that Tiger Heli is everywhere Jay, it was a million seller in a time when that was very rare. At least you didn't say Legend of Zelda. Gravity Rush, XIII and Cloudberry Kingdom are great answers though. Those games are great and received nearly no attention at all.
That was the sloppiest but funniest video I've ever seen.
Ristar for Genesis! Such a hidden gem
How far into the video is this going to derail?
machew san At the very start
machew san As far as it needs to.
Games people don't talk about is what under rated games means.
Whats good with that seventies couch?

Split/Second. That game is like Reality TV and Burnout had an amazing love child.
Totally agree love that game I play the hell out of the demo until the game dropped in price and its a Disney game which surprised me
You guys remind me of that group of friends in high school whose always getting into something for some reason.
LOL XD
Please do an 10 hour loop of Melvor laughing! :D
Gamer version of Spinal Tap there.... lots of glorious hair lol
Sleeping dogs is one of my favorite sandbox games because one of those titles remind me of Yakuza games and the storyline is so good and characters will really well voice acted.
I like Sleeping Dogs a lot as well. Sleeping Dogs is the spiritual successor to the True Crime series, which I also enjoy a lot.
Minayuki Yukisato ive platinumed sleepin dogs lol great game
