When you were talking about feeling so inspired and SO frustrated over not being able to knit what feels like eight million ideas, I was laughing to myself because (as you said) I feel the exact same way!!! I blame the autumn air. It's the worst and best feeling. This was such a lovely episode!
Thanks for the inspiration! A tip to let the whole world participate is that instead of sending winnings by post, give away patterns on Ravelry. Then the winner can choose which one they want. 😊
I forgot to mention -- for the Ranunculus KAL prize, I've seen other KAL hosts give away patterns on Ravelry as prizes (up to some maximum amount) to avoid shipping headaches. :)
Thank you so much for making and mentioning my design! Another youtube vlogger mentioned that you mentioned my design, so I naturally had to look you up! Lily looks so beautiful in her Castaway Tunic! I know I really need to update my pictures on my pattern, and write better made-to-measure instructions, maybe add a smaller size for those extra petite girls. It is so exciting seeing my design made and seeing the adjustments made for what the maker wants! Thank you so much again for sharing!
Yay! I'm so glad there is going to be a knitalong for the Ranunculus! And to have it hosted by three of my top favorite podcasters makes it even better 😊🥰 No pressure whatsoever, but it would be very helpful (and also very fun!) if you were able to have a little round-up in one of your future episodes of all the ranunculus sweaters you've made with the yarn weight and needle size used. Also, I wanted to say a big thank you for all the work you put into making your podcast. I've been having a very rough week and this was such a bright spot to be able to cozy up with some knitting and watch this episode. ❤
Good Morning from Calgary. “Mary Maxim” (Canada) has over 50 colours of Kroy yarn, and they often have sales. I really enjoy the pair of socks I’m knitting at the moment. Hope that helps. They usually have 15% off your first order. My mother taught me to knit with Payton’s yarns over 50 years ago. I still remember the yarn shop and all the gorgeous colours of Paton’s yarn.
I love your podcast. I just started the Ranunculus yesterday. I went to the yarn store to knit with our little group and I am going to do a crochet sweater display. I cannot get the pattern and so I got discouraged and decided to work on something else. Guess what? I didn't have something with me and no supplies. Went thru my files on my phone and got to the Ranunxulus and found some yarn, needles and stitch markers and I was off. This is going to be beautiful but I know some of the ladies thought I was the dumbest person around. Lol. I got going and I am flying away with this. Someone said something and I replied. See ya next week and I will probably be wearing my new sweater. It is a fun pattern and I have yarn set aside for this sweater and will be starting it next week with you all! Have a good week!😊
Hi Amber, you are my favourite knitting and crochet podcaster and I’m always so excited when a new episode appears. After seeing your beautiful Felix cardigan in your last episode I was inspired to start one too. It’s my first cardigan and I’ve almost finished it. I was so excited to hear about the Fall into Ranunculus KAL and would love to join in (from the UK)! I always enjoy the podcasts you recommend, particularly The Fruitful Hands and It’s a Sarah. Loved seeing your special guest again and her top looks great 😊.
Wow so many beautiful finishes this episode Amber!! Joann's carries the Patons Kroy in their online shop! Right now it is on sale for $5.25 a skein! I was lucky enough to find a bunch of this yarn at a lawn sale for 25 cents a skein so I'll have to knit up some of these socks with it!
Couldn’t think of a more appropriate podcast to show up in my feed. It’s been a stressful few days here adjacent to the search area. Thank you so much for taking the time to podcast!❤
@@alovelyyarn I don’t blame you one bit for avoiding the news and protecting your mental health. I’m referring to the prisoner who escaped from two weeks ago and has been eluding many….but was finally apprehended this morning. I’m about 7-8 minutes from that site. Again, Thank you! 🧶 ❤️
If Ann lives in Chester County between Longwood Gardens & East Nantmeal that was a convicted murderer who escaped 2 weeks ago. Thankfully the PSP & several other law enforcement agencies caught him yesterday morning in East Nantmeal. This was about 25 minutes east of me & has been a stressful time for everyone.

Another great episode. Your daughter's crochet top turned out great. The problem with Instagram make-alongs now is you can no longer can see all of the hashtag, you can only see ones Instagram has chosen to highlight. It has really broken doing hashtags on there.
I was so excited to see your Fletching socks! I got 15 skeins of Paton’s Kroy at Hobby Lobby for $2.75 a skein on clearance when they were discontinuing it. I could tell it was thicker than my other sock yarn, and so I wasn’t sure of the best pattern for it. Now I will definitely try the Fletching pattern. Thanks for a very helpful and enjoyable video!
I’m glad you said that your daughter thought it was scratchy because that’s me too. We probably have the same sensitivity. I also agree that I don’t like it when patterns don’t include complex decreases. I also avoid patterns that say at the same time, without saying how. I’m doing a pattern now that says after every 21 rows do (…) now that I can handle.
Hobby Lobby downsized all their yarn and stopped carrying Patons Kroy sick yarn. Joann, $7.50/50g, and Michael's both carry, but don't stock it. I have shifted to Opal, Regia, Fzble, and Nord online to replace it. Loved your finished projects. The background sounds were not an issue. 😊 Very enjoyable podcast.

Trying to finish my first sweater and trying to decide what I want to do next. I’d love to try the ranunculus but I’m a bit intimidated.
Hi Joy! Don't be intimidated! You can definitely knit it as long as you're patient with yourself and take your time to learn things as you go. There are also some references out there for people knitting it. I will try to remember to share that info in my next episode.
I would love to try the Ranunculus but I can guarantee that I won’t get far within two months. I am a beginner level knitter and am very slow but this might get my butt in gear to get started on it at least.
Hi Jacqueline! So I talk about the final details of the KAL in the episode I just uploaded today, but we decided that sweater completion is not required to be eligible for a prize, so you can join along and possibly still win!
Last time I had just begun my Ingrid and you scared/warned me about those sleeve decreases. I am on the second sleeve and have just given up on trying to make the dec's work. When I saw you wearing it I see there is no way in the universe that anybody but you and your viewers know and we don't take any points off your knitting or podcasting ability!! I loved this project and if I make another I will definitely do whatever you're doing!!
Haha. So you're struggling through them too. Makes me feel better! It is super cute and no one will know unless they examine closely, but it just wasn't enjoyable!
Hi Amber! Love all of your FOs. It was great seeing Lily and it is awesome how much she appreciates the projects you make for her. Her top was beautiful.
I’ve knit a Rosa Cardigan and love everything about it. I want to knit a Felix Cardigan but so much purling! I love the Fletching socks, did you use fingering weight?
Hello Holly! So glad to hear that you enjoyed the Rosa. I think I will probably knit that before knitting another Felix. That way I will also have a v-neck cardi. The Fletching socks are written for sport weight yarn. The Patons Kroy Sock is perfect for them.
I’m enjoying your podcasts and you have inspired me to make socks with Kroy. When you say you use size US2, is that the 2.5 mm or the 2.75 mm? Thank you.
Oh, I didn't know that. I don't have a Hobby Lobby conveniently located near me, so I don't get there very often. I just remember them carrying it in the past.

Some of the other KAL podcasters offer a Ravelry pattern to overseas viewers
That is an absolutely fantastic idea!!!!! Thank you!
Thank you, Sabrina!
Could you please tell me how to make the neckline of the Ranuculus a bit tighter? More like a crew neck? Thank you so much! 💐😊
Hello! I just discussed this in my episode I uploaded today!
@@alovelyyarn thank you! I'll watch it. 😊
Thank you.
Or a 3mm?
Hi Karen! So sorry it took so long to respond. I believe that the US 2 is equal to a 2.75mm.
Thank you Amber 😊
Can you list the name of the Etsy shop for the sock yarn? Thank you ❤
Oops! Forgot about that. I added it to the video description. I've also had several viewers say that Mary Maxim carries it as well.
I have knit two Fletching sweaters. I love the pattern.
I do not hear anything other than your voice.
❤
Sadly, Hobby Lobby doesn't carry Patons Kroy anymore.
Oh, I didn't know that. I don't have a Hobby Lobby conveniently located near me, so I don't get there very often. I just remember them carrying it in the past.
How many times do you think have said: I ? 😅
