I can not imagine the absolute terror that young man felt being shot, paralyzed, not being able to run away then hearing a back backhoe coming your way. Its a nightmare come to life. Poor kid.
Mike has come up with some brain-addictive algorithm so you actually cant stop viewing. Im still trying to figure out how that algorithm work for my own channel....
"It shouldn't have been allowed to happen". The mental health care in America is the worst most flawed system I've ever seen. My brother has 2 of the disorders this man has. I've seen first hand how they let people fall through the cracks. We need reform so badly. We need to come together as a country and realize that this is happening and stop sweeping it under the rug. Breaks my heart to know that this could have been prevented. Sucks even worse to know that it won't stop.
And now the for the past 10 years the Republicans have been having all the mental hospitals shutdown and torn down in their States it's almost impossible to get mental health treatment now that's why people are so crazy nowadays. I live in North Carolina we have a republican house and they had the State mental hospital Dorothea Dix that had been there since 1840 completely torn down I mean the whole site was like a historic site there was all kinds of buildings there that were built in the eighteen and they had the whole place demolished in a condominium complex built there.
@@Jamiet-lk8xqrandoms on the Internet are not a great source of policy changes. There are experts who study the systems, who evaluate policy changes that are effective, and look to examples of what has worked and what hasn't worked. S non expert knowing something isn't working doesn't mean they know how to change it. But there are people who do. If policies were based purely on what has been proven effective and reformed as we learned more, and not on silly political identity, we would be better off. Like maybe we should start by reopening public mental institutions so there are long term programs for people who can't afford a residential program.
RIP Tom. I still have pictures in my phone of us hanging out together. He was one of the nicest, funniest & down to earth guys I've ever met. He didn't deserve to die like that.
2 things I’ve learned from listening to Mike’s videos. 1) that I prefer true crime stories above all else. 2) that my new favorite numbers are 30 ( tirty ) and 3 ( tree ). Love it!
The last line of this video is my favorite ever... “but Cosmo is not the victim here...” then names the 4 poor boys who were needlessly and viciously killed. Love how you highlighted the failings of the system but brought it back to the true victims. Well done Mike!
My buddy was good friends with Mark Sturgis. She was pissed when the media kept focusing on how Cosmo lured them with a drug deal and tried painting her friends as deserving rather than victims.
@@supabry26 The bail works, is if his bail was set at one million dollars, his parents could post that entire one million and so long as he didn't skip bail they should get that back. He said they paid 10% of the one million which leads me to believe they paid a bondsman. Most people don't have enough cash on hand to pay that full bail amount. You give the bail bondsman a percentage, usually 10%, and the bondsman will post the entire bail. That's a huge risk, if the person skips bail the bondsman is out his money (at which case they pay a bounty hunter X amount to go find the person and bring them in so they get their bail money back, which isn't always a sure thing). When all goes well, the bondsman gets his bail back and keeps the bond that was paid as his payment. That means his parents would have spent $100,000 that they were never going to get back to keep their son out of jail while awaiting trial (which sometimes take a year or more).
This one was frustrating to watch because it all seemed so preventable. Family not holding their son accountable and nobody got him the help he needed when SO MANY red flags were showing up. Tragic.
A lot of times what happens as well is the family is scared of the family member. And quite frankly it is hard to get mental help for anyone in PA. Just tried to do it for a family member of mine....impossible. Five different reports and zero action from the social services.
@Tim Haverland You have to go through crisis unfortunately. The hospitals won't admit them if they say they don't need/ want help. Unless of course they commit a crime.... Then it's off to jail.
As a nurse for over 10 years, I've worked on an inpatient TBI Unit (Traumatic Brain Injury) I've seen the levels of recovery but I've also seen young men/adults with permanent frontal lobe damage and it is unlike any other damage, usually requiring permanent inpatient/institution care. This man should have NEVER been allowed back on the streets. It's not a knock on him as a person but frontal lobe damage is usually unmanageable.
im so sorry for your loss bro.. I remember this very well, it was terrible. i don't live far from bucks County so this shook our town too. way too close to home for something out of a movie to happen around here.
To be honest, Mike is literally to me, the perfect crime RUclipsr, he makes jokes and takes it seriously, and at the same time, he is a great narrator!
At first I didn't know how to take his breezy and lighthearted presentation when the subject matter is so dark and serious, but you're right, his balance is perfect. I am SO glad I gave it a second chance because he's an awesome narrator and his vids are high quality. Plus he's just being himself and not putting on a TV style way of speaking. Pure awesomeness. Love you Mike!
Some youtubers who try to make jokes during true crime just come across as really disrespectful and ignorant (buzzfeed unsolved) but Mike still manages to act respectful and treat the crimes themselves seriously.
I live about 45 minutes from this area in PA. I remember this like it was yesterday. You couldn't turn on the news without seeing something about the Lost Boys. It was absolutely devastating when those poor boys were found. Thank you for the sensitive presentation and for the compassionate remembrance of the victims.
that kind of broke my heart. seems they were not great parents but nooooo one expects their babies to turn in to serial killers. sad all around, especially for the victims and their families.... they were so young and just trying to buy weed and be a little bad ass, we've all done shit like that. i have had a concussion that changed my personality a little so while i feel for that aspect, i could only hope someone around me would notice and permanently institutionalize me if i ever got that bad!!! my concussion has just given me anxiety and depression and delve in to withdrawal and the booze. just me and my cats being lonely hermits.
Yup rich kid syndrome at it's worst. smh. Well his parents aren't fully responsible he did have that brain injury, the doctors are another story though. this one hurts my head and my heart.
I was almost 19 when this happened; i lived a mile and a half (a four minute drive in Solebury time) from the DiNardo farm. I was in prom and formal groups with some of these guys, as they were in my graduating class at the school some friends and my exes atteneded. seeing the news stories and social media posts from our quaint, scenic area was bone-chilling. thank you for bringing some nuance to this case and showing discretion & respect to those involved.
Can you imagine the horror he was feeling, seeing that vehicle back up towards him? He was so terrified he stopped screaming in pain. That's absolutely *horrifying.*
yup... such a shame that good ole Cosmo isnt being executed in the same manner. Slowly and publicly imo. Its just absolutely unexusable and mental health here is a joke. You dont murder 4 innocent people that he knew WITH someone everytime. God i wish public executions were still a thing. such a shame.
@@redbeardjohnson2570 I think that Sean character pushed him, didn't take much. Sean wanted to be a notorious killer, and Cosmo had the tools to accomplish his fantasy.
Did you guys miss the part where his frontal lobe was damaged after all his brain injuries from football? He wasn't born like this. We have to have compassion for the person he was and could of been. We are all born naked and innocent.
@@existentialhowl1067 He wasn’t exactly a saint before the accident either. The biggest issue though is the blatant negligence on his parent’s part. I think they were so tired of dealing with his crap that they ultimately found it easier to turn a blind eye to his whereabouts and daily activities. He was a spoiled rich kid who never heard the word no, and had just about anything and everything at his disposal. Mommy, Daddy, and Mayor DiGirolamo made sure this kid never suffered the consequences, and as a result he thought himself above the law. I can’t imagine having all that money and not getting my child who clearly has major mental health issues, the absolute best care available. Just lazy and selfish, as is evident in their lack responsible gun ownership. I have a very personal connection to this case, so I’ll end my rant there. I tend to get very worked up anytime I discuss it and sometimes still can’t believe this actually happened here.
@@existentialhowl1067 I'm sorry I cannot have compassion for that monster. Other people have mental illnesses, brain injuries, etc and they don't go around PLANNING murders! The way in which he killed those young boys is unforgivable. It's up to God to judge him though, not me. Be safe everyone. 🙏
Im crying my eyes out for his last victim. Imagine the terrifying thoughts that went through that boys head as he saw that machine coming at him and him being paralyzed and unable to move out of the way? Absolutely terrifying! God heal his Poor soul. 😢
I grew up with Deans older brother skateboarding. He was always such a sweet, quite kid. My father also worked for a company that did business with Dinardos parents company. Cosmo would just walk in front of the trucks as they were driving. Forcing them to stop. Not caring if they did or not. Not even looking at them.
Cried like a baby for himself, but spoke about the horrific murders as if he was just reading the newspapers - no empathy, no remorse for his poor victims ! Cold blooded, pure evil. Pity both didn't get the death penalty.
Iam Sad that they boys did not get the help they needed. No one needed to die. They did a horrific thing, but as someone who has had needed mental help my selfe i can feel nothing but sadness that it had to come to this. Make no mistake. In this case 6 live have bin lost that could have bin saved. They deserve life in prison. But iam still sad that this had to happen. Greetings from Germany
@Nikki Sixx That coupled with small town mentality was what really did it, I believe. I grew up in and around towns very similar to that, and the levels of outright denial and cognitive dissonance is astounding. The residents cling to this overly wholesome idea of community and anything that falls outside of that is ignored completely. A lot of things go on in rural areas that aren't addressed because nobody wants to deal with it.
K2 drove 2 people at my school crazy. Both ended up having psychological breakdowns and being taken out of school and committed. That stuff eats your brain.
"I threw my life away for nothing" I get he's not all there, the brain injuries, the psychological disorders, behavioral problems, bad company. But still hearing him speak about the murders makes my blood boil.
The same description that makes you angry makes me sad. His struggles with mental health were ignored and/or underestimated, and a lot of people paid a very high price for that.
I haven’t watched the video yet so I wasn’t sure if it’s brought up but it was kept out of the news. I live in Bensalem where this happened. Cosmo was caught with multiple assault rifles in the back of his truck, and they were all illegal, he had no permit, nothing. He gets caught by police and gets arrested and while everyone is still at the scene he calls the mayor, Joseph DiGiralamo, and the mayor is friends with his family so he lets him go, doesn’t confiscate the guns are anything. About a month later this happened.
didn't she have the rockingest body??!! lol....and you're right....Shes for sure thanking her damn lucky stars....That pic mighta been a year, maybe year and half prior maybe?
I lived in Newtown and my son had heard from friends at school to avoid Cosmo. Friends said Cosmo was crazy. This was a couple of years before the murders. Parents had plenty of time to stop this tragedy.
I blame the stupid ignorant rich parents that spoiled him and let him do whatever he wanted and always bailed him out of trouble and named him Cosmos and didn't keep a close enough eye on him.
The fact that the poor kid went quiet and became resigned to his inevitable death from the backhoe is horrible. Couldn't move, no use in screaming, and knowing your life is going to end right then and there. Forever.
As a kid my mom always said I anything's possible... but I guess when your a drug dealing diagnosed schizophrenic with head trauma smoking synthetic drugs anything really is possible.
How DiNardo became a psychopath is secondary. THAT he's a psychopath is primary. Same for the cousin, who also in the immediate aftermath of seeing a helpless and conscious human being crushed under a backhoe apparently was in fine spirits. They are vicious monsters and should be dealt with as such, just as rabid dogs are dealt with.
my friend chris fell in las vegas hit his head hard... he was a violent, weeks afterwards... never violent before... he committed suicide around 2 years after that RIP CHRIS
I had to literally pause the video at that part and walked out of the room to stop myself from crying. He watched his best friend get murdered and then having himself being horrifically killed the way he did. 😭
I love that picture of the boys on the tiger. It’s so goofy. You know they thought it was hilarious when they took it. I think it showcases a lot of who they were - young, silly, wanting to make people laugh. It makes me smile and ache at the same time. RIP all the men...
That pic made me laugh and reminded me of so many silly guys I’ve known. It really gave us a glimpse into what their personalities were probably like, seems like it would be fun to be friends with them.
Well, the pain he would of felt being run over would be other worldly. Your guts would shoot out of your mouth and even your eyes would pop out from the pressure. You would choke and struggle for air because of your crushed lungs. It would be a slow and agonizing death filled with pain and suffering. I've seen many deaths from vehicles and this is generally what happens when someone has their mid section ran over.
As a bucks county resident, I remember this well. Langhorne and Levittown had a dark cloud for afterwards. Dean worked right next door to my job. Crazy to think it’s been over 5 years now.
the WHOLE thing sucks, but Tom got it the worst. Imagine knowing you were about be ran over and there is literally nothing you can do about it. What a horrible way to go.
It's horrifying to think he actually stopped screaming when he was about to be run over... I always imagine screaming till the end (Hollywood also always shows these scenes this way), and to think of the terror he felt... he was so resigned to his fate, that he gave up and stopped screaming... this is gut wrenching for me to imagine being in that situation
Cosmo: assaulted both parents Cosmos parents: “oh that’s our Cosmy...he just needs a friend” The cognitive dissonance must’ve been a hell of a drug in that family.
Right? If someone is willing to assault the main people who always have your back, why is it surprising if they have zero respect for other human life? Scary stuff...
Cognitive dissonance is *a good thing*. Cognitive dissonance *was missing here*. Cognitive dissonance is when you can't reconcile two mutually contradictory ideas that simultaneously appear in your conscious mind and you have to go through the effort of resolving such conflict. To simultaneously believe two (or more) contradictory things is not "dissonance". Dissonance is *a feeling of unease*. You can't feel unease if you're not even aware of anything being wrong. STOP MISTAKING THE CURE FOR THE ILLNESS, PEOPLE!
I worked this story at the local paper in 2017. As a matter of fact, this was my last major story before my job was outsourced. I happen to live near the victims and the farm where the bodies were found. You did a great job with this video and you even used some photos I haven’t seen before. A crazy story, and one this area will never forget.
So whatever happened with the civil suit for negligence filed against his parents? I'm surprised there wasn't a lawsuit against the police dept for not pursuing any charges when there had been so many red flags in his case.
My parents always told us kids if we ever got arrested, don't bother calling - we'd sit there and rot. It was a deterrent for us, for sure. Feel better, Mike!
My aunt has always said that as well. As far as I know, she's stood by it. My mom wasted most of her inheritance from her older sister on bailing out my brother. I called my aunt to talk her out it the last time.
As a parent I second that emotion🤨 I told my boys if its for anything outside of self defense-DON'T WAKE ME UP in the middle of the night. And think I'm interested.DON'T CALL ME IN THE MIDDLE OF DAY.And think I care enough to interrupt my day.Oh yeah and under no certain terms will I put my home up for damn bond!!!!🤨🤨🤨🤨
Sounds like a lot of excuses from a rich family for poor behavior. I do think he had issues his whole life, but a lot of it was covered up by his family. Sounds like he should have gotten help a lot earlier than he did. His family should have done a lot more, a lot earlier than they did. His girlfriend dodged a bullet there.
Probably had nothing to do with $$$ and more to do with being in denial that their son had anything the matter with him. Mental illness is a hard diagnosis to accept. It can take years.
1962pjh to be fair, you’re probably right, but it seems like their money bought him out of a lot of trouble that most people would have to face. He got slaps on the wrist, even though there was something deeply wrong. If they didn’t have the money to buy off the right people, he might have gotten the help he needed or it might not have been viewed as poor rich kid acting out.
Right! I’ve seen it so many times with killers during their interrogation or testimony. Agony and tears then go on about how they ruined their own lives.
I live close to Bucks County, it's so crazy that this happened near my hometown. My current health teacher taught Dean, he went to Neshaminy High School. He had some problems, but my teacher said Dean was just the sweetest boy ever, very funny, most people loved him. May these boys' souls rest in peace.
The way he’s describing the murders... it’s sickening. I have two sons. I can’t imagine the PAIN & ANGER the families felt when they heard how nonchalant he sounded when describing how he murdered their sons.
I agree because I dont see where the “system” failed him. He and his family are responsible for his health and taking his meds. Not just bailing him out.
We all make decisions. Both those views are moronic. For one it doesn't matter how hard someone or in this case the family tries to help/aid someone, it is their choice and their life, they have the choice to reject or accept. The system on the other hand only exists for obedience. If you'd like to hear what this "precious system" is all about go listen to the J.F.Ks full speech about it. People can't fail other people if those people do not stand on the same grounds.
@@crescentmoonchild4031 Um, maybe his psychiatrists and the institutions he was in? They're not to blame?? You weren't paying attention to that point in the video.
Certainly we have a grossly inadequate mental health system. However, this little rich boy had all of his problems taken care by mommy and daddy's money. He thought he was infallible.
My ex’s little cousin got into a car accident and had brain damage. He went from being a quiet shy, polite young man. To being aggressive, in your face, and very inappropriate and loud. Brain damage is very scary...
My ex was in a horrific car accident, was outside of his car on the side of the road and someone hit his vehicle which in turn hit him, propelling him more than 150 feet thru the air and came to rest in someone's front yard. The doctors described his brain injury as "shaken baby syndrome". He had always seemed like he had an undiagnosed mental illness but now all of those "quirks" are EXTREME! His mildly paranoid behavior is now to the point that he won't even leave his house unattended for fear one of his neighbors wants what he has so badly that they are going to burn his house down....he has also become convinced that he is being recorded by his "enemies" so they can alter the recording and use it against him so they can then take whatever it is of his that he has convinced himself that everyone else wants....he mistakenly messaged me thinking I was one of his buddies accusing me of also recording him and "trying to set him up to have his ass kicked by my ex."....that was moments after I left a fairly pleasant conversation with him, one that he initiated! When there is a brain injury there is literally no rhyme or reason for their behavior or thought process, especially when it is coupled with preexisting mental illness. I know gun ownership is a hot topic but people like this should NEVER be allowed to own a gun. Yes he can still mow you over with a backhoe but without that initial gun shot that poor boy could have run away. If you know someone who has these issues you need to know that YOU can't fix it by yourself. They need professional help that you can't give them. I also know tho that it is impossible to get someone help who doesn't think or realize they need help. So it is even more important for you to be aware and to protect yourself from them. I will not meet my ex alone, I won't allow my son to be around him (he also wrangled my 16 year old into his paranoid delusions) because I don't know what my ex is capable of doing. So if you can't protect other people from the mentally ill individual for whatever reason, you can protect yourself....
it is proof that souls don't exist. you are not innately good or anything else. you are a biological computer; if you break the computer, you break your personality. with the right kind of brain damage you can become completely unrecognizable to the people you love, while still maintaining the general appearance of a functional human being.
@Evan Reed so someone disagrees with you on a philosophical idea and instead of engaging with it intellectually, you assume they are simply "being a contrarian." deep irony there; just seeing what you want to see. not surprising though. have a nice life
OMG - Just imagine what it must have been like to be paralyzed and then see the backhoe coming for you; you can't get away and you know you're going to be crushed. What a horrible way to go!
Eh I mean not intending to be sympathetic to this guy but when he said "I don't know why I did it" he's probably telling the truth. The type of brain injury he had would lead a person to potentially just do something the moment it pops into their head with absolutely no thought for the consequences in the moment. Multiple concussions followed by a serious frontal brain injury with several diagnosed mental health conditions can turn a person into a complete basket case. Next to no impulse control combined with mental disorders famous for violent mood swings is a seriously nasty combination. At the end of the day he still killed 4 people and deserves to be punished for that. But I do think we need to rember just how seriously mentally ill he really is when you listen to him talk. This should never have bet allowed to come close to happening in the first place and many people surrounding this guy bear almost as much responsibility for what happened as he does and should receive some form of punishment.
Rhys Ford from the way it sounds to me, his brain is pretty damaged and we are our brains. I believe that he doesn’t really understand why he did it, there isn’t much of “him” left, his family and doctors should have seen to him better because this type of thing has happened before and is well documented, ppl suffering traumatic brain injuries and becoming criminals, often violent, and a complete shadow of who they actually used to be. So I highly doubt he even had those mental disorders as the psychiatric hospital didn’t seem to know about his TBI, his brain just functions that poorly now that he exhibits behaviors of an extremely mentally disturbed person. And this is obvious, he should have been supervised 24/7, taken to therapy to explain to him and his family what has changed in him and help him adjust, he might have been able to have been somewhat rehabilitated but could have easily been identified as a risk and institutionalized before he hurt anyone, and this is what Mike meant when he said this shouldn’t have been allowed to happen because the medical system just failed here. Look up Chris Benoit if you want to see another case of violent TBI and go go down that rabbit hole, I hate to say it isn’t their fault but if you look at the brain science, it’s questionable to say the least. Take care of your brains ppl.
I live in Bensalem and knew a lot of people who knew 2 of the victims but never met them myself. There’s always been local rumors that cosmos dad was a mobster as well.
the family had 100k to bail him out yet he killed a kid for 8000$?? That's just pure evil. He didn't even need the money! He just wanted to be a gangster
@Sleepy Welder How much collateral would you need when the bail is $1 million? The 100K is only the 10% needed to secure the bond, though I don't have any experience with bail or bonds, so perhaps I'm misinformed about how bondsmen work.
@@gtw4546 i know mike didn't go into it, but in articles I've read about this he was seeing a psychiatrist. Nothing was going to help this guy though. Just pure bad.
Jesus, Tom's death was the most disturbing to me. The fact this poor guy was alive and paralyzed but had no choice to just watch and slowly got ran over by a backhoe is a tough way to go out. I'm getting shivers just thinking about it.
I try to be forgiving of parents but come on! He bit and punched his mother. Hit his father with a brick. Was institutionalized multiple times. Had a history of drug abuse and concussions. A few diagnosed mental disorders. Not to mention the Facebook content he was posting. And they still just left guns lying around? Unbelievable.
@@queendelegacy09 Getting rid of their guns completely would've been a start. But most importantly, they needed to stop bailing him out every time he got in trouble. Dude never had to learn from his mistakes because of them.
Well his parents now have to live with the fact they let him go and now a couple of good boys are murdered and mutilated. His parents are hopefully about as devastated as the victims parents are. I say "hopefully" because if they aren't upset by their own actions, then they should re-evaluate their mental health and life choices. But that's just me, and if this happened because I made the wrong call for loving my messed up kid and got other kids killed, then I'd probably perform a slow suicide and make it up to the families till I died.
I just love how a guy who wanted so badly to be know as a badass gangster to the few people he knew, is actually known as a total loser failure to millions.👍
Oh my God, those poor guys. I can’t imagine how scared the guy was who got run over by the backhoe. Sometimes I think that Life in Prison just isn’t enough. Some people should be tortured in prison.
How could the parents know he was dangerous and just let it go?? I have a son their age and there's no way I would turn him loose on the world if he wasn't right!!! All the money in the world and it didn't help, just made it worse !!! Law enforcement overlooked his crimes because of family money and let a monster loose!!! Sad
The only thing that "comforts" me about the terrifying way he lost his life, is the fact that he was paralyzed and didn't feel a thing. Horrible acts by this very sick, young man, who didn't get the help he should have had. May all those guys rest in peace.
I always have extreme remorse for the victims in situations like this, but hearing how Thomas went immediately caused me to cry. I can’t even fathom the fear and pain he experienced. It makes my stomach hurt.. it’s so disturbing to imagine running over a human being with farm equipment and feeling nothing. Absolutely heartbreaking.
This one has made me more angry and upset too. There was no reason for these boys to die and, more importantly, it could've been prevented at multiple points along the way. The other cases of men and women killing their partners/children because they wanted out of a marriage/to be with someone else, jealousy, money, sex...even strangers killing strangers because of the love/sex/money tropes...these base urges we understand to a degree and we can just call these people broken, sick monsters and move on. This guy...yes, he's broken, but in a way that is unfixable but also obvious he was a danger to himself and others. Of course he was enabled every step of the way...
I'm from Delaware and I remember this story being everywhere when it went down. The overhead shot of the farm area and the tents were enough to send chills.
My heart breaks for the teen that couldn't feel his legs and then to top it off, here comes a tractor, are you kidding me? What a horrifying way to go. So sad. RIP to all four boys 💐
In the past people with mental illnesses were put in a home away from the 'normal' community. Now they are given prescribed drugs, given housing and left to try and be left to get along in the community.
Governments just don't know what to do with mental patients. They never have knew what to do. And they never will. Throwing money at the problem doesn't make it go away.
he's completely unemotional when describing how he gruesomely killed these men for literally nothing (hell at times it seems like he's trying to show off) and only cries when he thinks about how he's going to go to jail?? This man was pure evil before any of the brain injuries. The injuries just stopped him from being able to control himself. Just another narcissistic rich boy wannabe gangster who has been enabled his whole life. He deserves much more than what he got
How does a person explain killing people to where it would satisfy you? And you seem a little jealous that the parents had money. Doesn't seem like anything was given to them. They ran businesses and worked for the money. Jealousy doesn't look good on you.
what he did was fucked up not excusing that but mike literally just explained how the kid was fine and exceeding at academics before you know...his frontal lobe got scrambled like eggs in the morning. what do you think that does to a person? what do you think you would be like after a brain injury like that...mind you the brain cannot repair itself
@@thebigcheese606 ?? Why would I be jealous ?? His life was completely horrible except for that one fact and with all the money they had they seemed to not use any of it to ACTUALLY help their son which is the real sad thing; his parents failed him. Also what business was he ruining?? He didn’t gain much money from any of these killings at all. Was the couple thousands worth a life in prison sentence?? Obviously not seeing as Cosmo was crying knowing he’d go to jail forever. Doesn’t look like what I would call a good business man. Literally no one here is jealous of this man. And maybe you’re right, there wouldn’t be a reason for murder that satisfies me because I’m not a narcissist psychopath, but if there was a reason at least it would make more sense. Like self defence or an actual significant amount of money. Cosmo didn’t kill these people because he was “running a business” he killed them because he wanted to enact violence on to others. He never gained a lot of money from any of these murders and showed cruelty to the bodies even after they were dead. That’s hate not just “business”
RIP Dean, he was a classmate in high school. This happened a year after I graduated. This was such a weird event, I’m still confused on why someone would do this to another human.

I don’t think Cosmo was going to murder his dad. I think he wanted his dad to help cover the crimes up, just like his dad had been doing his entire life. When will parents learn to stop enabling bad behavior??? It never ends well.
I can't believe he ran over one of the victims, I feel sick just thinking what his last moments would of been like....omg the pain. I hope it was quick for him but I'm doubtful. Feel bad for the families, how do you live with something like that?💔
The big picture is easy to see when it's there. The friends and family did not have a big picture, and often it is quite easy to not piece together all the pieces. Usually cause you're living your own life too.
thats the problem with mental illness, family can't do much , often the family get hurt themselves or killed , its the system that's really to blame. i have a mentally ill family member , you can can call the cops , but they just will let them out on the streets with no meds, if they end up in the hospital they get out quickly, the system does almost nothing
They ignored his problems & enabled his violence. Shocking this didnt end well. -.- I would Hope to Never try to get a loved out of hurting themselves/others like that.
Thanks for this. I’m from Philadelphia and this was a huge huge story. The cousin who was involved lived literally 5 mins from me at the time, where I grew up. I went to grade school with the main detective on the case, definitely shook the area
wow.. i saw this name in my recommended and was shook. one of the victims (Tom) was my friend's boyfriend at the time. i can't imagine being 21 years old and losing your boyfriend to murder. so incredibly sad and she still posts about him time to time. he seemed like a very bright and sweet person.
I have a friend who's boyfriend survived a headshot. In front of her. But he was never the same. Overly aggressive, aggressively sexual, acted like a 3yo but also a full grown man. So sad.
Exactly. I think that many people are uneducated when it comes to Traumatic Brain Injuries. People can literally lose all impulse/thought control. Their personalities can change completely. I've seen this personally. The person he was after the injury might as well have been an ALIEN. No resemblance to the person they were just a single day before the injury. He had lost all sense of his former self. He never did mentally recover/revert.
Right for nothing? Well yeah the reason was stupid and you could say it was for nothing. But these people were something to someone like you said. Poor choice of words. Nor do I believe that he is remorseful whatsoever
Hi TC. Mike you did an exellent job explaining Cosmo. There are too many people that loved those guys & that's what made him jealous of them. Oh man! Well I'm glad you weren't in that group. That's an incredibly close call, really. I mean, how many of us are close to someone this crazy or out of touch?
Amazing how many people think when a parent draws a line, it’s wrong. As parents we are responsible for teaching ethics to our children. Some parents aren’t aware of this, and the lessons they inadvertently teach, are then practiced by the children. When we DO a take the time to teach, AND the children still violate human rights, well, we have the right to let the child take the punishment society deems appropriate.
I did that and everyone said I was a bitch. Lost friends I'd had for years, they all said "how could you leave your son in jail like that?". I would say, "you know he committed bank fraud...by forging my signature...to empty out his little brother's bank account...which existed solely to pay for his little brother's physical therapy which insurance wouldn't pay for..." no, you guys would probably think the same.
His frontal lobe was horribly damaged due to untreated concussions and drugs. That's really where the "soul" of humans sits. Damaging that basically cuts you off from your soul. Not defending him at all, but I do feel some level of sympathy since it's something that happened to him rather than him being born like that.

Damn imagine paying $100,000 to get your son out of jail and he gets arrested the next day for something else
My son ever does something to get that large a bail: I’m killing him myself, and making bail myself.
As long as it was a previous crime he'd get the money back anyway?
@@khalilmason why? save your money, let him rot in jail
@@Lugh444 he came from a wealthy family so I don't doubt that they did have the cash on hand

I always imagine screaming till the end (Hollywood also always shows these scenes this way), and to think of the terror he felt... he was so resigned to his fate, that he gave up and stopped screaming... this is gut wrenching for me to imagine being in that situation
@@RUclips_is_full_of_trolls my guess is at that point he just started praying to himself.
Cosmo: assaulted both parents
Cosmos parents: “oh that’s our Cosmy...he just needs a friend”
The cognitive dissonance must’ve been a hell of a drug in that family.
😂 he's pure evil
Right? If someone is willing to assault the main people who always have your back, why is it surprising if they have zero respect for other human life? Scary stuff...
No doubt.
I read an interview with the mom. She was gushing how “all the girls in Buck’s county wanted him”. Super cringe

As a parent I second that emotion🤨
I told my boys if its for anything outside of self defense-DON'T WAKE ME UP in the middle of the night.

I think they're negligent, they need to pay up.
68Charger absolutely!
Their son is a total POS. Yes the parents should have had this freak institutionalized!!!
Ugh he literally shows no remorse whatsoever until he reflects upon the damage he did to his OWN life. What a piece of work
Right! I’ve seen it so many times with killers during their interrogation or testimony. Agony and tears then go on about how they ruined their own lives.

The way he’s describing the murders... it’s sickening. I have two sons. I can’t imagine the PAIN & ANGER the families felt when they heard how nonchalant he sounded when describing how he murdered their sons.
Exactly. Ugh.
His parents failed him far long before "the system" did...

Stop the bs....
Thats unfortunate, im sorry. Hope he figures it out.
@@josephiles5793 Sadly, it's beyond his control.
I feel you, I literally broke down crying, ugh.
I don't even want to think about it.
Oh gosh, I know what you mean. My jaw dropped when he was describing it! Uggh that poor kid...got the worst of it!
He's crying about throwing his life away? Nobody cares about his life. Those poor young men, though? I hope their families can heal.
Yep, that's narcissism right there, no empathy...
He is and others with him
All lives are lives no matter who gives or takes
Just to be fair I care about his life no one should be judged by their worst mistake although I get why he is being judged for it
I live in Bensalem and knew a lot of people who knew 2 of the victims but never met them myself. There’s always been local rumors that cosmos dad was a mobster as well.
the family had 100k to bail him out yet he killed a kid for 8000$?? That's just pure evil. He didn't even need the money! He just wanted to be a gangster
If they could get 100k for bail so quickly, you know they could afford to get him medical/psychiatric help. The parents failed him, not "the system."
@@gtw4546 Exactly!! They are just as guilty
@Sleepy Welder How much collateral would you need when the bail is $1 million? The 100K is only the 10% needed to secure the bond, though I don't have any experience with bail or bonds, so perhaps I'm misinformed about how bondsmen work.

A few diagnosed mental disorders. Not to mention the Facebook content he was posting. And they still just left guns lying around? Unbelievable.
What would u suggest they do?
