Once retired after 65 and then enrolled to Medicare, can (or can't) I move back to the company provided medical plan without any penalties if I get a job from a company after some months or years later?
My 94yr old mom got roped into the Advantage plan. Can she leave and go back to her other suplemental plan she used to have during this open period. Thanks again.
If she left her Supplement plan for the FIRST time to get an Advantage Plan, she has up to 12 months to drop that Advantage Plan and get her old Supplement Plan back, without medical underwriting - she she call the insurance company asap.
I didn't know that about F plans. My current plan's rates are going up a lot next year and I will no doubt change. Can I just do this on the medicare site?
My question I don’t have a supplement plan. I just received a letter saying how much my premiums will be for part A and B. I have always used the local V A for medical services and prescriptions. Can you explain how I will use the benefits that I’m automatically being charged for? Do you suggest I appeal for lower premiums since I’m not planning to use; or let it be incase the V A stop providing services in the future because there’s no way to get around this
Okay I still don't understand. I have been on Medicare for four years and have a supplemental plan. If I want to change during the open enrollment do I have to have a physical and go through underwriting before I can change? And is there a chance I could be turned down because they see I have a thyroid condition and had surgery 2 years ago?
Medical underwriting does apply in most states to make a change. Where are you located? You definitely don’t need a physical exam, it’s just health questions and generally a thyroid condition or a prior surgery would not be an issue for you to make a switch! I checked the 2024 drug plans for my ZIP and meds on the Medicare website. It says the lowest cost one is a $0 premium plan. All my meds are Tier 1 except two Tier 2, so my Total cost would be $72. That is much better than my current Part D plan that's $16.80 premium and $225.60 total cost. Is that $0 plan too good to be true? Could its formulary be smaller or maybe many other drugs are in higher cost tiers than my current one? Don't you usually get what you pay for?
Great questions that we are getting a lot this year. This $0/month Part D plans has pros and cons. I’d be happy to email you with more information - please send your questions over to stephanie@abtinsuranceagency.com !
I am looking for a supplement plan and was told by a medicare specialist here in California about Aetna Medicare Advantage PPO plan. Do you have a video on that? Do you have an opinion on that plan? Thanks
I’m healthy and feel a Plan N will work for me now. Can I change to a Plan G later? What are the implications of changing later rather than Plan G from the start?
@@AbtInsuranceAgencyCan you switch between G to G plans within the same company or a different one without any type of review or medical underwriting too?
NYS does not require under writing! Also, does not have excess charge.
2 important things to remember for NYS in Medicare.
For drug plan I cannot use generic it has to be brand name
Thank you, Stephanie, your videos are so helpful and clearly explained.
I got a notice that my Medicare Supplement plan went up $72 this year.:-(
Wow really? That’s abnormally high. Call into my office we would love to try and help you lower that. 888-465-9727.
Thanks, as always, for your clear and helpful videos!
My pleasure! ☺

I'll probably be contacting your company as soon as my Union Insurance let's me know what benefits I lose from them when I turn 65 in January.
Sounds good! 😊
Thank you.@@AbtInsuranceAgency
My advice, stick with traditional Medicare.
No disadvantage plans.

Quick question, do you help with Part D for those you helped with Supplement as well or they do Part D themselves? Thanks

It depends on what state you live in. In most areas, you’ll have to pass medical underwriting to switch to a Plan G later on down the road.
Hey, can you switch your part D from company to company without any type of review or medical underwriting?
Yes, during the fall Annual Election Period
@@AbtInsuranceAgencyCan you switch between G to G plans within the same company or a different one without any type of review or medical underwriting too?
No, generally any new Medigap application for a new insurance company or a new plan letter will be medically underwritten@@Unknown-hu4gf
