As I stood in the crowd on Saturday night I was begging them (in my head) to play this song but never really expected it to happen - could not believe it when I heard the intro starting! From the very first listen, it has been the best song off the excellent MM for me and still gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. Seeing them perform it live for the first time was worth the ticket price alone.♥ Behind the Wheel was another highlight, especially with the old vid footage playing. Would have loved to hear a couple of other MM tracks too (Never Let Me Go, Always You, etc) as well as a few other songs from such an amazing extensive back catalogue (we can do without APTIUT now), but what a phenomenal gig! Thanks for this video! DM forever...
the lyrics are good, the song is overall fantastic as well - but what made me fall in love with the band originally - the incredibly detailed synthwork on their albums 83-88 - i just no longer there. The songs are all extremely stripped down to be stadion-compatible, and tbh are not that original. All that is left is the emotion of melody and lyrics really- but its still enough to give the band a unique position.
