They even make dark subjects - in this case a Kamikaze pilot who knows he is doomed whether he carries out his mission or not, who hopes people remember him for something more positive than his final, terrible act - sound beautiful. I would place it alongside Nightwish's "Tenth Man Down" or "Kinslayer".
I agree, the sound quality is almost always fantastic on Wacken recordings. Go girls !! 🤘🤘

They are performing in Wacken to a sea of dead fish. Unbelievable. Although most of them seem to be older gentlemen (like me)
This was the first set of the day, Saturday August 4th, 2018 at about noon. Withheld from release until 2020.
Early on a Saturday, after several days of festival. Considering that, good turnout and reaction, imo.
4th of 5 song set. DVD is still available from "Booth" in Japan as bonus option with "Electric Pentagram" CD.
Another bonus option is "Invitation to the Theater" from 2019, audio only 2CD set with a few songs only available LIVE in that package, including their 'namesake' song, Asami's original audition song, Halestorm's "Love Bites (So Do I)" 'cover' !

This concert was back in 2018 early on in their career. They had only been together for 1 year. They just celebrated their 4th anniversary not long ago.

This concert was their breakthrough performance outside of Japan. And this song might have been the best one of the 5 song set. I love the opening, Miyako's solo midway, then Midori's high pitched solo at the end, and then Asami knocks it out of the park with her searing belts and holds out that high note impressively long.
As always Asami's beautiful vocals!
This concert is at the Wacken Bullhead City Circus 2018. I think it's on the headbangers stage. I guess the first performance in front of such a large audience - about 10000 people.

The camera work in Wacken has a different intention than in a usual recording.
The festival is the star not the band. That's why more of the audience and the stage is shown than usual.
