This is one of the most unique weird and genious melodies I've ever heard in my life. Sent chills down my spine the first time I heard it when I was a teenager. This exact melody partially made me decide to become an orchestra composer myself. This melody made me who I am as a composer. Throughout my life this become one of my favourite melodies to play. Thank you, I love you, Ben.
@@saladchan Yes, I watched it in like 2005 when I was like 15, it changed my perception of both cinema and music forever. Great Roy Andersson fan since.
Man, I absolutely love this movie. I really wish Criterion or some other company would put out a Blu-ray of the Living Trilogy. I'm so hyped for About Endlessness!!
The song has more or less (singular instead of plural) the same name as the movie. You can find the song on a cd from Benny Andersson (Benny Andersson Band 'Story of a Heart') for sale in Sweden and of course on iTunes.
Well, there is. Haven't you seen the film? In the second half of the film, there's a great sad but yet beautiful scene, when the taxi driver and his girlfriend is sitting in their kitchen. She holds the flute, he blows it.
Okyanusu alıyorum karşıma. Önümde gergin martılar tekmeliyorlar havayı. Emekli Adam yıldızlara gönderdiği eşini düşlüyor. Arada pek tatmin etmeyen maaşını kontrol ediyor.
where can I get this, is it on some Benny Andersson CD? Songs from the second floor is one of my 2 fav films. Roy Andersson is a true artist. Love ya Roy! And yes Benny is one of the greats too!
I am trying to find another piece, which is heard at the scene at the mental institution, after the scene with the heavy suitecases, while Tomas' brother recites almost the entire Vallejo's poem. Anyone can help plz?
Colin Lundbohm i know that, I already did, but I want to know the name of the piano piece itself so I can find the music sheet / synthesia and learn it.
it's the main theme for 'songs from the second floor' (sånger från andra våningen) by benny andersson / benny andersson orkester. there are only three tracks to the soundtrack simply titled song 1, song 2 and song 3.

You can hear the Erik Satie influences.. This piece was really fitting for the movie.. Abstract yet has a melancholic vibe to it.
