INGREDIENTS :
750 g Fresh Fish
For the Masala Paste:
1 cube ginger
2 green chilies
2-3 small garlic cloves
few curry leaves
1-2 tbsp lime juice/vinegar
For Marination
1½ tbsp chili powder (more/less)
¼ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp garam masala
½ tsp cumin powder
some salt
METHOD :
Descale and clean the fish thoroughly. Make deep cuts/slashes on the fish.
Prepare the masala paste using the ingredients as mentioned above (For the masala paste) and keep it aside.
In a mixing bowl, add chili powder, turmeric, garam masala, cumin, salt, and ground masala paste, and add a few drops of water to form a thick paste. Marinate the fish and keep it aside for a minimum of 1 hour or refrigerate for 8-12 hours.
Heat oil in a pan and fry the fish on low-medium heat for 10 minutes. Flip and fry the other side of the fish for 10 minutes or until done/cooked.
Transfer the fish to the serving plate lined with kitchen tissue. Serve hot and enjoy!
