Our country is truly diverse and rich in nature. It was not discovered by Europeans, it was invaded by Europeans, indigenous peoples had already inhabited Brazil for thousands of years.
100% agreement w/everyone. The issue is now entirely of worldwide proportions; effective, short and long term - sane - action is necessary...without furthering extinctions - and especially our own; God preserve what good reason that might possibly remain to us; wherever the hell that might miraculously be.
Being a Brazilian, I just realize the amazing nature when foreign tourists keep on admiring in awe from the train window that takes us to the coast. The green forest view is really beautiful. A piece of Paradise on Earth. The humming birds are also awesome!❤
Absolutely breathtaking! This documentary beautifully captures the diverse wildlife and lush landscapes of Brazil's Atlantic Forest. From the vibrant birdlife to the elusive mammals, every moment is a visual feast. Kudos to the team for bringing us closer to the wonders of Mata Atlântica!
Having grown up in this region of Brazil, first off, let me give kudos to the outstanding cinematography. Also, I have been very blessed to visit many places on four continents, yet Iguaçú Falls is still ghe most stunning and awesome place I have ever been. I've seen the swifts flying through the falls. It is phenomenal to see their hidden lives caught on film. Incredible footage and narration of such a magical place. Bringd back lots of memories from childhood, now that decades of time and a continent away separate me from there. Superb documentary. Many thanks to all who helped make this film.
This video brought me good memories of the period I had the privilege of living in the heart of Mata Atlântica. It is really full of wonders. Every single day new wonders to be experienced.
Yes and it was home to more than 20 million people before their arrival, they never needed to develop villages because the country has always been rich in food regardless of the environment

Thank you for your insightful comments @delroygreen945. We agree that the term 'discovery' can often neglect the fact that many regions were already inhabited by diverse cultures and societies long before Europeans arrived. The focus of this documentary is primarily on the remarkable natural history of Brazil's Mata Atlântica, acknowledging the forest's native flora, fauna, and their unique behaviours. However, we acknowledge and respect the rich history and the indigenous people of these lands who have been there for hundreds of years. Your feedback helps us be more aware in our language use, and for that, we are appreciative. Thanks for engaging with our content!

Unfortunately, my country does not know how to take care of this wealth that we have. We are threatening the existence of this biome, the majority of our population is found on the coast where the Atlantic forest is located. I hope that someday this situation will change!
Other kinds of swifts "swiftlets" or cave swifts make their nests from their unique saliva and humans have harvested their nests to make birdsnest soup, although that might now be prohibited.
