I think the rider model look’s more natural on SX5 but the game just look’s washed out like they turned the brightness up way to much. SX4 had much more realistic looking tracks especially with the contrast and detail of the dirt. I think it’s because PS5 is relatively new and programming on a new console some games tend to suffer like this the first 2-3yrs. I love MXGP 21 because it has a clutch and it’s the most realistic when it comes to railing a berm using a clutch button. I think MX Legends gives the bike too much freedom and isn’t realistic at all. Every game has it’s faults but someone is going to knock it outta the park one of these day’s. Maybe with the World Motocross league starting soon it would be the perfect game to address all of these issues
Too me 4 looks better , I don't know if this is ps4 ps5 or computer , I wonder if some settings on the hardware could be tweaked to inprove 5 ? Even a simple contrast or white balance might improve it . Update : I did some comparison with other games and it seems like the same thing, the the first game seems better , but it seems to be a mixed bag were some things are better and some aren't but for graphics not to be better with the newer releases or at least as good this is something I don't understand . The good news is that alot of games that have been around for awhile are so inexpensive that your not out alot if you don't like the game.
To me the graphics, gameplay and bike sound on 4 seem to be going for a more realistic feel . On 5 it seems they went for a bit more of a arcade feel. Must admit the sound of 5 is horrible
@@ONKINGDAVID its not at all, sx 5 is too slow and clunky and the bike feels like shit, tracks are too short and narrow and the graphics are a massive step down from 3 and 4
I haven't bought SX5 out of fear the physics will be just like MXGP '21. After watching this video comparison....it's clear that my fears were right. Nobody wants to ride a MX bike that feels floaty versus sharp and snappy. There's nothing smooth about riding MX and game play should depict reality not some fantasy land. IMO Milestone is going backwards. SX4 was good...but whatever physics that were developed for MXGP '21 needs to be dropped immediately and trashed. I shelved that game after 1 week of playing it. I was a huge fan of Milestone and bought every game since their first MXGP...but I'm skipping this one. Nothing fun about spongy bikes...until the physics get better...I'm out. MXGP Pro was one of my favorite titles...Bike was fast, snappy and violent...now physics are just boring and slow.
the problem is many players that demand real physics are basically not wanting the fast, snappy & violent bike physics. thats arcade for them. they want the slow, borefest, snoozefest, yawnfest real physics that focuses on slow gameplay
@@cockroachassylum9318 Well I'm completely opposite of the slow borefest that has become the most recent Milestone physics. If this continues I'll probably have to retire from console MX games. MX versus ATV series is not good...and as far as I know there's nobody else making MX games that are worth a crap for consoles. Milestone had it dialed in enough for it to be really fun before these last two latest titles but they continue to F with the physics...when what they should've done is found a way to release a Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Game. It's dang shame MX vs ATV ends up with the licensing rights for Pro Motocross and they can't even make it good. If you are going to half ass the game...let another game developer get a crack at it. Meanwhile I'm skipping SX5. It was painful to wait for SX5 release only to see Milestone used the same terrible bike physics from MXGP '21. Let's see what happens
@@derekl544 honestly mxgp 21 has alot better physics than SX5. That's how bad SX5 is lol. Atleast mxgp 21 is playable, SX5 is a complete waste where bike is so nimble u cant keep it on the track for 2 minutes straight. It requires such delicate caring that it no more is about racing but rather maintaining lol. For me SX1 is the best in the series. I still play it & love it. The speed & motion blur gets me charged up & u really feel adrenaline rush as u accelerate. Every SX title since then went down the hill ( especially cause they decreased bike speed, motion blur & the overall badass fun feeling from the title)
@@cockroachassylum9318 I hear you...we are on the same page when it comes to this stuff. What sucks is if you like a certain game title (for you SX1) and the latest game comes out....the old multi-player lobbies start dwindling for the previous game. It's expected but sucks...if the lobbies somehow stayed full enough you could just play the game version you want. Once SX5 came out SX4 lobbies dwindled big time...but I have noticed there are some lobbies still playing. A lot of people hate the new physics so they just revert back to playing SX4. I liked SX4...I also used to really like MXGP Pro. I know it's not for everyone but I loved how the bike felt. Guess it is what it is....just sucks seeing good potential go to waste. Milestone went the opposite direction from what I envisioned.

I still play the first one and it has better graphics then both of these
First one is the best of them all and better scrubs
first one still the best one apparently
Does 4 have trigger effects?
All it takes is a simple if statement to make the rider take tearoffs after theyve been behind a rider for a certain amount of time.
Anyone who plays this game knows 4 was the best one
4s sound is better on 2 stroke and 4 stroke FOR SURE

Booooo na dog
I agree. Ruts look more detailed. Dirt coming off tire..forsure
Fuck no 🤣
5 sounds likes lawn mower
Sx2 was the best hands down they’ve went backwards every since
Sad how they can't even get the rider teams right. Tomac not on a Yamaha instanobuy
The game is based off of the 2021 season.
😂 it’s based off the year before at least know something before talking trash
wtf the bikes sound

The sound of 5 is more appealing to me
Sound of 5 is more appealing to me also, 4 is crap
lol, game from 2005?
bike sounds are better in 4.. 5 sounds like a pop can on the back of a bicycle tire..
For the graphics one is grass and the other is dirt....
Graphics are better on 5, but the bike controls seem better on 4, from the looks of it.
Definitely not lol 5 looks better and sounds better in all aspects

I picked the 3rd one, it's cheaper, looks the same as the 4th one and gameplay wise it's the same game, super cheap
Debating on getting 3rd one as going cheap on PSN I’ve got mxgp 2020 fancied a super cross what would you recommend is best one? cheers
But multiplayer might not be as popular
Im getting 4 only 4 the 2 strokes
@@connormassey4735 gotta love 2 stroke 👊🏻✊🏻💨 is the sound good on 4th one?
All these people want real life it’s an arcade game it’s not supposed to be realistic go play sim or bikes if you want realistic
Also 5 its graphics aren’t that good as 4s 5 is like mxgp 2021 big mistake to buy that game wish I never did
@Peter Alexander don’t you will regret it I did too
When are they gonna give this license to someone who gives a shit. So sick of no good motocross games.
5 looks so downgraded compared to 4
4
look better the 4 than the 5 ...
Dude, that was bad. I couldn't make it all the way through.
crap game of scamerstone
4 looks better on the series x
