- My son fell in love with the movie Onward and in turn magic. He desperately wanted a real staff to do real magic with since he was tired of doing invisible magic with his invisible staff. What's a father with a woodworking shop to do?....

I love how you included your kids in this build! What an awesome Dad you are. Hats off to you, Sir! The build is so cool, too!
Well that was fantastic! Dadding level 100 achieved! Well done, sir
Best reaction ever. Both opening present, and the first spell on mom.
Amazing job! The best of video are the little carpenters...
So great to see you involving your kids. I remember when I was not more than a couple of years taller than your eldest, acompanying my Father to work on weekends to act as "Outfeed Monkey" I felt 10 feet tall at the end of the day.
just one word - awesome.
From any aspect. great
2:07 - I love how your son says what's on his shirt.
This made me LOL so hard
The magic there is what you are doing with your kids. Awesome!
You absolutely nailed it again buddy. (Well, glued it.) looks amazing and great to see the kids involved.
That turned out awesome!!
Very nice video! When I was a kid my father and grandfather made my brother and I a staff. I loved that thing!
Brilliant!!!Cheers from Toronto!!
That was great. Your son will never forget how awesome his dad. Excellent build.
man ..that was awesome..loved the look on your sons face..brought back some very good memories of my son and the things we did... good for you..cheers
What I learned - real magic takes practice
Great Project! And you are a great dad. Thanks for the video.
Awesome deal man your kids 👍 you and your family 👪 be safe
Beautiful !
Well done sir
Complimenti ottimo video per fare felice i bambini
Super friggin cool!!!!!
This was a great toy for your son and truly magical. I would love to build this from my grandson. I was able to find your web site and plane for many other toys. some of witch i will also be trying to build. I didn't find the Wizard Staff plans. I hope you are planning to post the directions so I to can put magic in a young boys life. Keep up the great work in the shop and with your family. My children knew what a hammer and saw were before most toys.
There needs to be a love button.
you are a good dad getting those boys involved.
Thank you for putting a smile on my face, at the end of a very annoying day :-)
Great project as all of them are.👍👍😎
Good idea to make the phoenix gem removable... you don't want to leave the staff loaded when it's in storage - that would be careless staff practice.
Great job as usual! He'll get lots of use out of that piece of art.
You have the greatest family I have seen in a Long Long time. Thank You for presenting them to us in these trying times. Really brought a BIG smile to my face.
He’s wearing swim trunks and a hoodie in part of this episode. 😂😂. 8:50 mark. I know this cause I have the exact same trunks😂
That is absolutely fantastic. I love that bent lamination process -genius. Hope mum recovered from the magic. 💜
That turned out awesome...watched this with the kids and they wanted one of these. Started to 3d print the phoenix gem .
Cool ! When I saw the thumbnail I thought you'd 3d printed it as it looked like plastic ! Excellent finished project. Super Dad !! 👍👊
Now that was an awesomely magical build! Your son is very lucky to have a terrific Dad who also has his own woodworking shop............ 👍👍😉😉🔱🔱
Queensryche! 🎸
Well done sir! “Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus”
Wow, totally awesome and absolutely nailed it. Great job. It looks stunning. And best of all the young man likes it too.
Awesome video. I am going to make one of these for my daughter's birthday!!! Great job getting the little ones involved.

Brilliant stuff!
You are extremely talented I take my hat off to you, awesome project
Dude. That was amazing! A skilled craftsman and a great Dad! 👍
That was super cool. I like your technique and most of all your effort for your son.
Awrsome
So cute
Fantastico,la pena que no se de que va ya que el idioma es lo que nos separa, saludos de José desde spain
That is awesome. Great job.
Beautiful work, dude! Nicely done! 😃
Congrats for the beautiful family!!!
Stay safe there with them! 🖖😊
That’s so cool. Love it.
a sprinkling of table salt on the glue surfaces will stop the wood sliding
Another super awesome video, im expecting those helpers to carry on the diy builds channel when you have finally run out of projects. Have you considered neodinum magnets for the gem? Or perhaps gluing the dowel into the staff and staining it to match (making the dowel largely unnoticeable when the gem is out). Then you could set the gem down flat
Those would work but I wanted to keep it simple. ;)
Belo trabalho e com ajuda do existe de mais puro: filhos.
A very inspired project made with craftsmanship and love; but, we still need to work on your pronunciation! Owt…..abowt….and rubber bands! Best wishes, a big hug for the kids, and be healthy!
What brand of Parmesan cheese makes the best staff?
Kraft lol
DIY Builds makes sense that Kraft would be good for crafts.
So does your strip sander take it's belt off when you blast you shook me all night long by AC/DC? Nice shirt btw.
Where do you think the staffs come from? I want to say they're branches off a magic tree.
Hey if your kid likes wizarding, I found a great table top RPG that I play with my kids. Check out "Hero Kids" - you can find it on Drive Thru RPG. It's like Dungeons and Dragons but with a very simplified ruleset. My kiddos love it.
If your parmesan comes from a cannister like that, you might as well be collecting the sawdust from your shop and using that. it's the same thing.
It works fine for filler, like breading and such where much of the taste of the parm will be gone anyway, but if you're puttint that on top of your food, you're doing your palette a major disservice.
How do you print the full scale images on multiple pages? I'm using inkscape and trying to do the same thing.
Download my template and print pages 100%
Can you be my dad?
Yes but by appointment only.
