Somehow google and the word security, in the same sentence, seems a bit weird.
Google have some of the best security systems in place.
@@ravitejaknts What protects you from Google though? They consider you and your data, their property, to do with as they please. This should make you very uncomfortable, with their products.
@@kirkjones9639 I am into ads feild previously. I know how ads work. Google don't have to look at your data or share your data with advertisers. Anyhow, they have the option to use data for other purposes. But among other companies, I personally have issues with trusting Google.
Also, I consider ads are the best thing happened to internet as it makes a lot of info free to access. I learned a lot of skills and also got jobs because I can access internet.
Just want to ask if you can download apps from chrome and hp apps, also does touchscreen work?
Chrome OSflex is amazing.
So basically, Windows 11 copies Chrome OS, then Chrome OS copies Windows 11.
i'm thing chrome os copies windows 11 because windows 11 release before chrome os 100
It doesn't matter, this is how technology works. Learning from your competitors.
@@leongcm1998 ChromeOS isn't really a competitor, it can't even do half the things linux does.
@@salmonhippo9824 No, I mean I never said Chrome OS is going to be a competitor. I'm just trying to tell that technology is meant to learn from it's competitors.
@@salmonhippo9824 But it has double the users than Linux. So it's a competitor.
very thanx your hlep
Should I worry about getting virus in chrome os flex or freezing operating system problem
Is chrome os flex going to be on the pixel book go?
feels like last year presentation 😁 l Good bro
this is wild and game changing , damn dude
I have an idea. Is it possible to install Wine with apt in Linux environment and then run .exe with Wine Windows Environment?
Sir, Which video editing software used to you making these videos?
Tex Being Consistent Than Ever!
Ha ha .. yeah bro.. will be dropping few more vids soon. Hope you enjoyed this😊
@@LinuxTex loved every bit of it!
As a web developer, we constantly work on text editors like visual studio code editor, a web server like caddy or nginx. Does this chrome flex OS supports installing such types of softwares.
that's why there are Linux support!
It has full Linux support in a sandbox
Unfortunately flex is only available as an enterprise solution right now not for public use
Honestly, as a consersative, I don't know if I can trust Google? This system seems very interesting.
Conservative = Paranoid?
I installed Chrome Flex on an HP Compaq Elite 8300, how can I enable the touch screen? Can I add drivers to enable this function?
I've got a Bluetooth problem on Lenovo ThinkPad T400 after installing Flex. Otherwise, it's fine.
I am on Linux Mint on a desktop. Maybe if I find a cheap chromebook I can try this.
well google thanks you for all your data
@@zeocamo you didn't read my post correctly. I use Linux Mint. There is no such thing as a cheap Chromebook.
Can i download this on an older chromebook that reached AUE?
For working with ms Excel is chrome os flex good option or not!
Just install flex on my desktop, one biggest problme is there's no SLEEP MODE?! Is there any setting I probably disable it? Thanks
What about Google Sheet and docs can we work offline ..
Can you make an ubuntu vs chrome os comparison video?
Nice vídeo, thank's
So let me get this straight
If an OS is made by google you can ignore the fact:
That you cant install any native apps or games
That you need to install it yourself
That you need to adapt to the different user interface
That you cant change the default web browser or any other app
...
And somehow its going to get more marketshare than linux
That’s precisely why it will.
it will overtake linux because its simple and ready as android
desktop linux has been trash in that department for so many decades, people install them then given up and uninstall it soon after lol, its more problematic than beneficial most of the time
You must understand that most of the population uses a laptop for media consumption and to view and edit basic documents( be it Microsoft office or google’s web versions). It makes absolute sense that common people who want to install a few apps or view a few documents and watch Netflix would obviously gravitated towards such a simple interface.
@@vlc-cosplayer it doesnt just work
No nvidia or amd drivers
A lot of touchpads dont work
Doesnt find my camera or fingerprint reader...
On linux all of these just work
@@vlc-cosplayer buying a chromebook is like buying a 7 year old pc for the price of a new one
Also linux just works on linux pre-installed pcs so there is no reason for people to buy chromebooks instead
Great battery life. That's where other distros fail.

Thanks for this super helpful video. However I am at a dead end. After installing the Chrome OS Flex, it is not able to populate available Wi-Fi networks. I have tried manually entering SSID and Password but doesn’t work. Therefore I cannot move ahead with setting up or conducting any operation. I’ve checked that the Wifi chipset in my HP laptop is not in the unsupported list mentioned by Google. Please suggest a workaround or other ways I can tackle this issue. Will be of great help!
USB Tethering could be used. Connect your phone to to your device via USB and turn on USB tethering in the settings, then turn on your data connectivity in your phone, that should do it.
@@daven4895 Will I need iTunes for that? ChrOsFlex does not allow any app installations. Basic questions but will help all the noobs, Cheers!
I also faced the same issue, it couldn't recognise wifi chipset to connect with the network. A simple solution to that was connecting PC with LAN cable from router. And if you still want to use it on a wifi, follow this video for troubleshooting ruclips.net/video/AdyU8OEUKkk/видео.html
tell me about fuck these oses if the are not wifi able an lot of lunx distro just cant cut when it come to wifi
@@docrj001 doc try pop os!! I got the same error and gave up!
I was stoked to try this on a 2009 iMac, but it's Nvidia graphics card is giving a lot of issues with glitching.
Nvidia is kinda doggy when it comes to linux sometimes, linux is a nightmare to setup somtimes aswell
Do we know if chromeOS is based on GTK or QT (or something else), if it uses X11 or Wayland (or something else), and if vaapi hardware acceleration works out of the box?
I think it is actually based on GTK
Chrome OS is based on the Chrome toolkit, I'd think, if not a completely custom toolkit.
Cloudready will upgrade to flex stable(Google bought neverware) so I technically it's a neverware project (maybe It'll even have android support in future)
