Yeah, 6/10 - not spectacular, but more than I knew 4 months ago! Did NOT expect that Colombia only entered viticulture in the 1920s. I was convinced it was the 1700s.
Best quiz so far, the Chilean questions were real tough and a real eye opener! 6/10 so I'm back to the books! I suggest a German/ Austrian wine quiz as I think they're often forgotten about as wine regions and can seem complex in terms of sub regions. Keep up the great work!
Good effort as always. That's a very kind offer but I dread to think of the shipping charges. How about you tell me the name and I see if it's available over here? Cheers
@@TheGrapeExplorer Haha. Fair enough. I would probably be sending you "Athene" by Burrowing Owl Winery, or the Bush-VIne Syrah from Maverick Winery. Both vineyards are located in the Okanagan Valley, British Columbia.
Best wines of América from to argentine. I Like Malbec Ruttini or Luigi Bosca. Chile not bad medium quality but Económic price and brazil low quality ..
Good question. My problem is the tit for tat approach by certain individuals and the harm it does to business. The biggest loser is always the consumer.
Awful. Only three although I've learnt, Torrontes, Pais and Carmenere. I'm off to Colombia to meet the missus' family in November so it'll be interesting to try their wines.
I answered wrongly question 2 because on my WSET level 3 theory book it says in Salta altitudes can reach up to 3000 m above sea level ....so I answered the closest...2500m 😅🤔
Cafayate is a town located in the central zone of the Valles Calchaquíes in the province of Salta, Argentina. It sits 1,683 meters (5,522 ft) above mean sea level, the question needs to be put differently: What is the maximum height of the vineyards in the Cafayate region? Then the answer will be correct because the vineyards are located from 1554 to 2011 m.
Hi Everyone. I hope South American proved to challenge you. Let's have those scores and suggestions for future quizzes

You are welcome.
I missed at least one question about Brazilian wines. The South of the country produces good wines as well. But thanks for the quiz!
I'll get there next time. Cheers
6 out of 10, so I definitely need to improve here :-) Fun quiz. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it.
9/10!!!
A respectable 7 out of 10. Unrelated question: If I sent you out a bottle of a Canadian wine I love, would you do a video of tasting it?

Well if you learnt something that can only be a good thing. Also Columbia - envious
