We continue in our verse by verse Bible study in the Book of Hebrews on Wednesday Nights with Pastor Gino Geraci at Calvary South Denver in Littleton CO. This week we look at Hebrews 3:1-6 in a sermon called “Consider Jesus.”

I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today (October 9), this passage from the Book of Hebrews, along with Matthew 7:24-29, was the basis for our Sunday School Lesson for today. It was entitled "The Builder of the House." The hymn, "My Hope Is Built on Nothing Less," written by Edward Mote (1797-1874) is a good hymn to compliment these Scriptures, regardless of denomination.

the *1rst* Apostle, Jesus* Christ : Heb.3:1. Considered by the 12, and faithful; are mentioned in Rev.21:14 in the new Spiritual Jerusalem in Heaven. Rom.8:28,29 considered, conformed into the image of God's Son; the (faith) in God, Heb.11:6 pleasing God like Jesus* - Rev.14:4,12*. Considering the (love) of Christ for God, and gaining it - 1 Cor.13:1-3. Doing good things without* love* profits nothing. Good works can be performed in selfishness; pride; envy; etc. without love. Micah 6:8=Love
