Thanks Finchy, as a greenkeeper we spend countless hours a year replacing pitchmarks because SOME golfers think it is beneath them. It's not pointed out enough. Carter are you playing all the Q hotel venues? If you get to play Telford make sure you take Finch with you, tough course which he will have no doubt played when he was in Shropshire. Leave it until the drier months tho.

Another funny vid...well done, once again...Unrepaired pitch marks happen on all golf courses (rather similar to finding beer cans just off the fairways, USA of course!)...If you have just paid a mind-boggling fee to play a course, do you really want to be repairing pitch marks made by others?

People I know everywhere wonder why the greens on the pga always looks so much better then the greens on there course and this is why! no course wants to go and invest in putting in good greens if people like that knob are just going to go and not give a shit and ruin them! such little respect shown!

Peter, I would find the guy who hit all those balls into the green leaving lots of pitch marks, and after I had "Boned" him I would drag him out to repair all those pitch marks.

Not repairing pitch marks isn't laziness, it's an attitude of, 'stuff you mate and everyone else.' Now, there might be a local rule allowing practice on the course but 20ish balls? To be honest Peter, I thought your rant was mild.
Hopefully you showed the video of that idiot to the club. If he is a member then the committee should be sanctioning him. People like that are always the first to complain when they end up in someone's unfilled divot, foot marks in bunkers, etc. I feel your frustration Pete!
