I live in an apartment with 7 other units in my building, I nick named it the Golden Girls Hen House, for we are all females retired. I love to cook and pressure can. I make meals for the chicks, bake bread and goodies, crochet them gifts. Never expecting or wanting anything in return. I get the biggest blessing of all, giving love freely. People tend to forget about seniors. Being retired and alone does make a lot of things difficult, yet God blesses his children!

We all need to remember " we reap what we sow" and our actions are the seeds we plant, so treat others good not only because (in my book) it's the right thing to do but it makes you feel good inside and when we plant good seeds only positive seeds will start to grow ! I have said this 50 million times==people need to learn the word'sympathy" and they need to teach this to their children from an early age for without it people do NOT feel for others or can care for others or" bear ye one anothers burdens" for other---this is key people need to learn HOW to have feelings for others and not=JUST ABOUT ME ME ME---society will never change and jails will fill up fast until this happens and most of all people need to learn about the best friend they will ever have and that is the Lord Jesus--God bless!

You're absolutely right! I was given the best advice a few years ago when I was struggling after my husband came out of a major surgery. "Be kind." That's it. Just be kind. Kindness is sincere and can't be forced like niceness. And it goes a long way towards turning the tide of negativity. Thanks J for all your posts and encouragement!

We all have pasts and I daresay most contain things we wish we could erase. But every minute is a new beginning and a chance to turn our lives around -- Like you have, John. Handypeople like you are a blessing to us who need some extra help out here in the boonies. My handyman has done everything from building fence to chopping wood to saving me from a huge plumbing bill when my system backed up. We who are all thumbs (or just frickin' old) when it comes to DIY skills salute you!

Our snow melted and it got up to the mid 60's today so I opened up my chicken pens to give them some fresh air after being cooped up for a week. They were really happy! I also tried to turn my compost...only about the first inch is thawed so I guess I'll wait awhile. lol Much Love to you and yours.

Me and my boys just found your page about a week and a half a go. I taped your vid on gar skiing and cooking and I just want to tell you I love your ways. On October 3rd 2013 my wife was taking 2 parabice pies to some elderly folks
That we new. On the way she lost control some how and I lost my every thing. We had 5 kids 3 was almost grown the youngest was 3 and 9 and I'm still mad but not as mad as I was before. I just watched your vid about your bream. Thank you for your page. J lamb central West ky

This is a awesome video man! Always do nice for people. Back in 2016 I did a fundraiser for my family members that had a child death. I had very little money. But I was able to give them $1500 to help with funeral costs or whatever they needed.

I live in Canada as you know and above all in the province of Quebec, most folks are french....need say more..they argue over everything and anything on fb. I'm sorry about your son's seizures. You've probably already heard about that movie director's child suffered from the same thing. (This is years old.) It was fixed through diet. (High in the right kind of fats.) I thought it came out of John's Hopkin's Medical Center. (the study was from the 1920's but he found a nurse/researcher did years later and they tried the technique on his child. He made a documentary about it. I remember him saying it took about 2.5 to 3 years before his child was seizure free. (still prone to them but didn't have any seizures for months - by the documentary.) Sorry I couldn't find the link for you. (wife of account owner)

today it is 1-21-2018 ... This past Thursday in the Ocala National Forest in Florida .. it was 17 degrees, I have never been so cold, ever, been in Florida Many years .. face book gets me way down, considering deleting FB .. You have some wise and kind words God Bless you also
I left Facebook a few years ago & have never been happier.
As you said...there is way too much negativity on there.
I do use the Messenger app on my tablet which is not the same as the FB app.
It only uses your phone number to connect you to your contacts that have have it too...so I still have the connection option without FB's crap.
