    Congratulation, nice video! I just configured my 6HVU with Castle Edge 80 and TracX controller according to the video. This weekend I will test fly the 6HVU and refine the Gov gains as needed. Cheers!

    Excellent set up a video for the castle ESC. The only important detail that I found that it lacked was including and performing throttle throws for the ESC so that the Castle knows your transmitters high and low throttle points. Let me know if you agree or disagree

    First time to use an iKon2.
    My esc is a Talon 90. I understood to ignore all governor settings in the iKon, if using Talon governor. (Thats what I want) Here's what I'm dealing with. When calibrating the Talon, my endpoints are at 30% to start the procedure. At high stick, I get no tones after maxing out the endpoint. What am I missing? Also, I'm seeing blinking light on the iKon. This is a pre owned unit. If there a option to reset to factory default, I didn't see it. In closing, you produce fine videos. Thank you.

      VIBEFLIER I would start with a factory reset. It’s under the file menu at the top. I haven’t used the newest maestro build in a while, but I know it has a reset option. If the previous owner used the ikon gov, you aren’t going to get true linear throttle out to the talon without resetting the FireWire to defaults. Hope that helps.

    I have a castle 90 esc on my goblin 500 sport. with a v-bar neo and a scorpion motor. The trouble that I`m having is on my v-bar touch radio I have no throttle control. When. I go to run it go's to full throttle the stick has no control. On the vstabi site it shows the setup for the castle setup. The only thing that I did not change is the external governor. When I clicked on it to change it came up that it could burn up the esc and the motor. I did not know what to do. Can you help me with that setting. Do I change it to the setting it said.

    Hi Chris, i have a edge160hv Esc, and im looking forward to get my ikon unit next week. So as i understood so far is that i dont Need any rpm sensor on the motor wires. Do i have to connect the aux wire to the gov port of the ikon? To which pin? To the left pin or to the right pin? That information would help me out a lot. Thanks and greetings from germany. Tobi

      Correct, you don't need any additional sensors but you do need an adaptor. I recommend this one: www.helidirect.com/servo-to-jst-adapter-p-28434.hdx
      Make sure you set your AUX wire to RPM Out in the Castle Link software.

    Hi Chris, how i can setup the castle edde esc endpoint calibration and later set the throtle travel 0-100 end point in the ikon fbl? i don't want to use governor and i already use the TX end point for calibrate the esc. if i set in the TX end point again for the ikon setup, this will cause problem for the esc end point. sorry for my english. thank.

      If you are running the talon gov, you need to ignore all things throttle in the ikon. Don't calibrate tx to ikon throttle and don't adjust the esc end points on the ikon gov page. Make sure the use gov checks are off on all three banks.
      Then you can follow the castle endpoint calibration with your TX.

    So if I'm not using ikon bail out nor castle bailout choose external gov? and my dx6 throttle curves atm are set to 0 30 30 30 30 30 normal mode. will that be ok for the ikon govoner? I'm using internal castle talon 120hv gov atm but might switch soon for better gov response. i do not want to use bail out on either unit nor self level. just ikon governor for set head speeds. would i change my dx6 throttle curve to 30/30/30/30/30/30 instead of that 0 for normal or whatever ikon tell me to set Throttle curve at, will it give me a soft start with no 0 for normal? Thanks

      Or should i keep that 0/30/30/30/30/30 curve so ikon can let castle use the soft start cuz ikon says 0-25% no govoner then flat 30 curve gov for speed1 etc. I want to use ikon gov and still have a soft start for my first head speed (set speed1 in ikon)

      JerseyRepresentative Correct, if you aren't planning to run with bail out, there is no downside to running the Castle Soft start. I agree it is a bit smoother than the iKON soft start. I would run a 0,40,40,40,40 curve. 30 is in the accepted range but depending on the calibration of your TX POTs I have seen this cause the gov to kick in and out as the actual broadcast value fluctuates a point or two.

      Christopher Sexton running 0/40/40/40/40 won't hurt anything? like change head speed or anything?

    • @cdsexton1
      @cdsexton1  9 лет назад

      JerseyRepresentative On iKON the requested RPMs are a range, anything 25-49% will output RPM1, 50-74% gets RPM2, and 75-100 will output RPM 3. I like to use values in the middle of the range to prevent slightly off calibrations from changing the outputted head speed.

      Christopher Sexton so 0/40/40/40/40 and for idle 2- 70/70/70/70/70 ( since its its ten up from normal ikon value) and obviously 100 for idle 3 if that what you recommend? 40 for norm and 80? for stunt2? Thanks a lot though
