I am 57 years of age and a former police detective from Barbados I saw the original Third world band with all of the original members here in my homeland many years ago. It was the cleanest sound I have ever heard from a live band the show was mind-blowing I am Third world fan but this current line up can never compare to the original Band willie roots, Bunny Rugs, Carrot Jarett, Cat Coore Richie Bassie Dailey and the great Ibo cooper were icons and those remaining are. These men were incredibly good to date I have never seen a live band play so damn good thanks for the memories guys they are truly unforgettable big up, Willie Roots Stewart.

@@detectivedee3717 The passing of our two brothers Bunny & Carrot has been a hard blow. We appreciate even more the amazing contribution they made to the building and success of Third World over the years . Just the memory and honor of playing with them give me both great joy and honor and yet I am humbled for the opportunity to have . May their memory be a blessing to all and may their souls rest in eternal peace.

@@Williamjlstewart, Your responses are so much appreciated. I was introduced to the Third World Band back in the seventies by a good friend we were both young boys at school and I went to his home and he told me he had a record vinyl in those days of a Reggae Band called Third world the album was 96 degrees in the shade and we both listened to it and I was absolutely blown away. Having finished school and about the age of nineteen I saw you guys perform live in Barbados that show was at our National Stadium, it was a superb performance the crowd was so mesmerized that we called for an encore after encore I would never forget that show the performance was flawless and you guys especially Ibo and Carrot were so energetic honestly I have never attended any live show to date as good as that show it was mind-blowing. I have always said this current Third World Band cannot in no way compare to the original Band you guys, those still alive are iconic and in all honesty, my interest in the current line up is not there, there is no comparison. Your style of Drumming cannot be matched by the current drummer I know that you are modest so you do not have to comment on this part of my post but Ruption can never ever match your skills and I will say that unapologetically God Bless you Willie ROOTS and keep bringing the Jam SESSIONS I would love to see you Richie, Cat and Ibo doing some sessions both Cat and Richie are phenomenal Guitarists have a great one Willie Roots Bless up.
