If you really want to make it. The skill you need is "how to learn from the internet". If you learn where to lookup for information, understand it and then apply it, you will be extremely successful. It takes time. This is how I did it. 1. I thought of an interesting project. 2. I researched a language that's suitable for it. 3. I started coding right away, when I wanted to do something, I will look it up. 4. Ended up with a working but messy code 5. I started to improve it. 6. Ended up with a still messy but better code. 7. I started to improve it. 8. Getting there but not quite enough. 8. Starter to improve it again. After a point you will lose interest in that project and you move on to another one.

No prog lang can be learned in 30 days even if you do in next 30 days you will struggle understanding what to do with it (so don’t blindly pick a prog lang simply a waste of time). it’s more about knowing basics of that prog lang & which use case are you using a prog lang for say Java for medium to enterprise dev, Python for small to medium scale dev, dev ops & Machine learning, JavaScript majorly for frontend development & also a greatest competitor for full stack development, C++ for systems development. If you are majorly into one area choose only that programming lang and develop projects majorly on that

So make your basics strong and try to learn Linux kernel development command line development is very very useful for any dev. If you are absolutely sure that data science, machine learning, AI is the way to go. Then in your second year learn the basics of it but also learn Java Development well. I am telling you this because there will be a number of developers in a team but only 1-2 Data Scientist/ data engineers/ AI Engineer in a single team and unless it’s an Analytics focused company other companies core operations rely on Software Development. Have multiple options at your disposal. In your 3rd year you will have web development so learn it well. And try internships in development/ AI

I did not understand who you are trying to ask but let me clarify you something if you are a beginner learn C/C++ If your university teaches C then go for it because you will learn linux development which is good. If your goal is the work on high performance systems, and do competitive programming then learn C++ in your first/second year on the side although you'll be having java in college coursework 2nd year(For me it was the case). Now if you are not that interested in developing high performance systems but into enterprise apps then choose java and learn spring boot basics, do projects while continuing doing leetcode/ Codechef in java/ C++ that's your choice. If you do not like enterprise development and you are more interested in small scale to medium scale development where development is fast choose python/javascript where you will be taught web development in third year. This will be your placements time and learn python/ js well on the side because learning a programming language is easy because C++/ Java are not so easy to develop and python/js is easy. Now see you have so many options
