I absolutely love your "build"! What a great, cozy spot for Cooper's crate. He must love it. I also love that comforter. I don't have a creative bone in me so I appreciate the tour and ideas for when I get my van! 😁😁 About the bananas, when mine are that color (about to start turning brown), I peel, cut in rounds, put in a ziplock bag and store in freezer. Those frozen rounds are delicious. I often have some after dinner, or whenever a craving for something sweet and ice cream like strikes.
The solar panel choice and power station array set up was beautifully explained. Ford Transit250 48",.medium height, is in my opinion, best van. Great on gas, maneuverability, size and durability. Safe travels and adventures. ❤ from Canada.

If you are hesitant about cutting the hole for the"MaxAir Fan," they make ones that you crank down the widow 😊to install, then crank it back up...with a little attached solar panel. They also vent in or out.

I learned a trick for keeping bananas fresh, the day you bring them back from the store put them in the fridge, the outside of the banana may turn a little bit brown and yellow but it's fresh as the day you purchased it
Great van setup. For the bananas, dont buy them when they are already ripe (yellow) unless you plan on eating them that day or the next. Buy them when they are more green and stiffer, as they arent ripe yet and will last you longer. Theyll turn yellow and ripe in a couple days and be ready to eat (this goes for basically all fruit)
I do know that about the bananas and I was planning on eating them within a couple days but I just didn’t realize how much faster in a can they turn brown and soft than in a house. I think I just have to buy less and more often or cut and freeze 😃 Thank you the van is a work in progress but not bad in just a few weeks of having it.
💐I really love your build I purchased a cargo trailer 6x12 and turned and turned it into a living space I just got finished with most of it except I have to redo my Solar System I have really enjoyed this adventure and you have encouraged me even more💐

banana tricks,...wrap the stems in plastic or preferably foil (recyclable), it keeps them from releasing ethylene gas, or store in fridge once they've reached your favorite level of ripeness, don't put in fridge before they are ripe bc they won't continue to ripen afterward, you can also freeze them tho the consistency changes a bit. given the limit of cooler space in most vans, I'd say go for covering stems. good luck!
The sound of birds and nature. While me in my $241 senior apartment get to listen to my neighbor elephant woman, stomp around. My van is nearly ready after 2 years. I am selling my stuff off and plan to.leave by January or February. ❤

Absolutely love how you've done your van. It's a fun idea to be able to change it around when you get bored with the set- up. This old woman has 2 questions. 1. Where's the shower? 2. What do you do for wi-fi?. New subscriber, so maybe I'll find out in a different video. Thank you for the tour.
It is fun to try out new things to see exactly what you want or to just keep changing things up! 😊 1. No shower in the van. I use gym membership-planet fitness, campgrounds, parks, rec centers, travel plazas etc and sponge baths inside the van (I also have some waterless shower wipes too!) I do plan on eventually having a shower off the back of my van though 😊 2. WiFi currently I use my cellphone and it’s hot spot or park next to places that have WiFi like nail shops, coffee shops, restaurants, libraries, hotels, etc. hopefully by January I can get starlink for WiFi!

Hi Beverly, For a no build van you’ve got just about everything you need. I love how organized you are. I love a lot about your van but wondered how you secured the little black baskets to the upper sides of the van? That was a great idea because you need lots of storage for everything. How do you keep the big furniture from moving/shifting when you drive? You didn’t talk about that. I am pretty impressed with your job of setting it up and making it cozy. Cooper is a cutie too. What a good boy..🐶💖
I have the links for the baskets in my description which might explain better than I do. Basically it’s a strong sticker on the wall of the van behind the fabric that has hooks to hang the baskets from. They come with the baskets. 😃 the furniture is mostly held down with zip ties and bungee cords in a zillion directions just in case. 😂 the bed itself is the ikea hack with the beams and slats I simply put Velcro along the beams and on the underside of the slats so they are very secure to each other and don’t move. I did use the existing little holes to create rivets in them super easy with a robot tool and used bolts to secure to the inside frame of the van. 😃 hope that helps and thank you for your kind comments.

I like the look of your van, particularly the fabric on the ceiling and walls. It’s a beautiful solution to covering up the metal yet you still get to utilize magnets. It softens and cuts down sounds a bit. A very lightweight fix as well as pleasing to the eye. I bet it when you look at the ceiling while lying down it feels like you are lying in a forest watching the stars.
I am watching your video with great interest because I have three months to find somewhere to live, and my pension is less than the current amount of rent, so I'm looking to do a van build, thx for sharing❤
I know the feeling and I am sorry you are having to experience it. If you do decide to do a van build just think of meeting your needs first. You don’t need elaborate and can always improve over time. Think about a place to sleep, eat, prepare food, keep food, toilet, a place to sit down and airflow. Some things can serve double purposes which is great and all the best to you! 😊
A tip to save the Banana 🍌 , use the store plastic bags u find in the produce area to wrap them in .. they give off a lot of gas is why they turn so quickly. If they are kept in the bag they will last longer .

Thank you and honestly I did it in a 2005 caravan the short one with 200k miles for a year. It’s amazing what you can make work when you want to. You don’t need a big van to have a great rig. 😊

the bananas....keep them in a produce bag and twist it so no air gets into it. That should help them for up to one week!
