Great to see that Avasva has new instructions to save my money and energy to build it.

Do you think it's worthwhile to have the floor of the attic sprayed with a layer of spray foam in order to seal everything up, then have blown in cellulose put on top of it?

Nobody can answer you the question without knowing more about your home and existing insulation, on top you have to consider your climate ....

I wouldn´t recommend to mix spray foam and a blow in insulation ...

Depends on your budget and how much loss you think you're really dealing with. In an ideal scenario having a very tight house is awesome but in an old remodel, it can be challenging. Before I put the blown in back into my attic I went around and looked for any larger gaps and sealed those areas with spray foam. I basically climbed around in the dark with the lights on below and looked for areas where light came through to the attic.

I have had nothing but bad luck with led lights, they burn out much faster for me then the normal bulbs, no matter what brand I get doesn't seem to matter

That's a bummer. I've had the issue here and there occasionally but never widespread like that. Not sure what the problem with that would be. I guess just double check the wattage of your fixtures

That Trane thermostat is absolute garbage. Do yourself a favor and get a Nest thermostat.

My life has become easier since I invested in Avasva projects. In addition, I did it myself.
