Thank you for the encouragement, Zach. In watching at least one other video that you produced, I, too, have struggled with sermon preparation, and have been called to preach at a moment's notice. One time I was asked to preach at a funeral at the last moment when my pastor woke up with COVID. I had one hour to go over his notes and make the message my own. Yikes! The message was fine and well received, but honestly, I never feel good with my messages or prep work. I've often felt overwhelmed feeling that preaching is not the lane I belong in and have asked God to retire this old dog, but requests to speak, preach, and teach keep coming. I feel overwhelmed each and every time. I'm a long-time radio broadcaster (the last five years in Christian radio) and people think that such things should come easy, but it doesn't. Handling God's word is very serious business and I've never taken it lightly. Anyway, I appreciate you and thank you for sharing your heart in these videos. I've learned a few things. Bless you, your wife and family, and your ministry.- Nelson, WHCF 88.5
Last minute is hard. That would be crazy and overwhelming to have one hour to prepare. I got a call from a local funeral home to do a funeral service about 2 hours before the service. I didn’t know the person or the family but whoever they had to do the service couldn’t make it. I was very nervous. You’re right, teaching and preaching of God’s Word is very serious. Someone told me one time that on short notice share what God is doing in your life. Then it is real and personal. If the Lord is opening doors and opportunities for you to speak then I’d encourage you to lean into that. With your radio career you will have opportunities to speak to people that others won’t. God has a plan for you. He grows us through stretching us and leading us to places where we have to fully rely on Him. I’m thankful the Lord used my videos to encourage you. That’s encourage to me. Thanks for watching and commenting. God Bless!
I find this is a great way to do it. This includes also singing or even youtube as well. At first it is very hard to listen to myself at first. Now I hear my wife say to me, are you listening to yourself again? someone loves themselves LOL 'Honey, I'm doing research'

Hahaha. Yeah I still don’t like listening to myself but making videos over and over it is t as bad as it used to be.
