- FIFA President Gianni Infantino was full of smiles on Wednesday as he visited the Al Bayt Stadium in Qatar.
The 60,000-capacity venue was confirmed as the stadium that will host the opening match of the Qatar 2020 World Cup.
Preparations for the tournament have been progressing even due to the COVID-19 outbreak - with all eight venues to be completed well before the World Cup begins.
Infantino took part in a seven-a-side football match in the Al Bayt Stadium which is meant to resemble a traditional Arab tent.

Impressionante esse estadio!😳
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Nice
Where is the help for those who died in Qatar.
They added every picture of the workers who built the stadium. Trust me when you visit Qatar respects those and pays tribute to whoever does just to know Qatar knows about this fake news it’s real they are dying but Qatar doesn’t hide it but helps stop it. Just from the entrance you will see every picture of the workers who helped build this stadium.
Impresionante pero hecho de Sangre
