The Durston Kakwa 55 is great. The Junction tends to change to an uncomfortable barrel shape when filled up. Of the two, the Kakwa is more comfortable. I’m 6 foot, 180 lbs.

I have a ACT Deteur. By no means a UL pack, but wholly hell that pack took a beating. It’s been thrown, abused, soaked by insane amount of rain, smacked by some heavy winds, packed, repacked, thrown down, pulled, pushed, kicked, and sat on and it looks pretty much as it did they day I bought it. Served me well on 3 long trips and many airport handlings. I have a small form and narrow shoulders and I carry some natural weight in the front. This pack was excellent, but it is on a heavy side so I’m looking for something lighter. Cool video. One of the more informative out there. I am leaning towards gossamer because I don’t want to sacrifice comfort too much but do want to cut some weight.

The Levity is a whipping, squeeking sack. It’s inner bladder compartment is so flimsy that it gets torn in pieces by any hard equipment. It’s side pockets are too tight as soon as the pack gets a little more stuff inside. Resulting in useless, flat pockets. You’d have to take off your pack to squeeze back your water bottles.
Other than that: I love it ! ( but I’m a little odd ). Besides: the Levity has not been on offer last time I’ve looked at the Osprey webside
    Try Atom Pack(s) they’re awesome

I am surprised you left the top dog off your list, Zpacks. I own other packs but if your going truly light bypass all these packs and just go light. The Zpacks Arc series packs greatly reduce the back sweat. No hate on Hyper Lite but they are on the heavy side for what you are paying. My Granite Gear 38 L weighs about the same for third the cost. One more thing Zpacks is made in the USA not by some 12 year old chained to a sewing machine working for next to nothing. There are also many other made in the USA options. Lite AF for example. All of these packs will get you light but not necessarily UL, sub ten pound base weight. My base weight is sub eight pounds and I am just as comfortable as I was with fourteen pounds, just lighter gear. Nice video and great humor. Take care

I got myself a fully featured well padded 2.1lb [on my scale] "Free Knight - Trekking 60" (but they come with several different names) 60L pack on ama zon and it came with a free rain cover AND hip belt pockets. You should definitely review one of those. They're about $45, but I got mine for $33 on a sale.
I can hear the cries now, "But how long will it last!" Well, I've read in reviews that they last thru-hikes just like the $500 (when equipped with the same features) non-ama zon ultralight packs that end up weighing about the same. Ultralighters don't keep their half thousand dollar packs for more than a season or two. If someone comes out with a pack that slashes 3 grams off their base weight, they sell their sub-2 year old flagship packs for pennies on the dollar and put the new pack on their credit card. It's a legit disease, a dysfunction if you will.
