I believe wholeheartedly this is Coheed’s most underrated song. I’ve always found this insanely memorable between the lead riff, the chorus, and the bridge.
In this space where nothing will seem too right Our voice unheard in this quiet fight This march we lead will breed our song To them we're nothing, to them we're pawns Oh, a desperate play to feel like we belong Now as we take up into these streets Remember, I depend on you as much as you on me Don't try to fake it, let's not pretend We made you mothers, we made you men We made you mothers, we made you men Oh, it's no surprise nobody listens anymore To what we're saying, to what was said And in your absence we promised you Oh, we'll behave, oh, we'll behave So just keep running, everything will look better once you look away Oh, I agree, cause' what's the difference? Oh, is there a difference we make? Your day will come The rain starts dancing across our backs These ardent words seize this heart attack Belief still strong, we can make this change The stage is set to occupy the brain The stage is, we made this, we made this, WE MADE IT Oh, it's no surprise nobody listens anymore To what we're saying, to what was said And in your absence we promised you Oh, we'll behave, oh, we'll behave So just keep running, everything will look better once you look away Oh, I agree, cause' what's the difference? Oh, is there a difference we make? Between the dapper villain in a Sunday serial at the podium, Or another cog in the wheel, just another cog in the wheel They're both capable of making life hard, But no bandage can mend all these parts So why do I give? Between, between, between Between, between, between Between the dream, the dream Oh, it's no surprise nobody listens anymore To what we're saying, to what was said And in your absence we promised you Oh, we'll behave, oh, we'll behave So just keep running, everything will look better once you look away Oh, I agree, cause' what's the difference? Oh, what's the difference? Of making life hard, But no bandage can mend all these parts So why do I live with this? No difference... Goodnight... Lyrics for people who dont know them❤
I dont know how but of all the bands I've finally found my favorite band. These guys are amazing and I love listening to them on long trips. Listening from there oldest-newest album. The I can't find a favorite song for them because they're all incredible. Coheed idk if you even read these comments but know that just because you don't get the attention that other bands get, that doesn't mean you're bad. You're for some reason flying under the radar but stay true to your music please follow what you want and not a label company, your music is fantastic.
among these few songs ( in the flame of error, colors, subtraction, and mothers of men) that as far as I know, they haven't played live with audience.. this is the song that I really want to hear live.
The space where nothingness seems to writhe Our voice unheard in this quiet fight This march we lead will breed us on To them we're nothing, to them we're pawns Just relay it to feel like we belong Now as we take a picture on these streets Remember, I depend on you as much as you on me Don't try to think and let's not pretend We made you mothers, we made you men We made you mothers, we made you men Oh, it's no surprise nobody listens anymore To what we're saying, to what was said And in your absence we promised you Oh, we'll behave, oh, we'll behave So just keep running, everything will look better once you look away Oh, I agree, cause' what's the difference? Oh, is there a difference we make? Oh, what's the difference? Of making life hard No bandage can mend all these parts So, why do Iive with this? No difference
The second half has a pretty good mixture of songs. Gravity's Union is very progressive and guitar driven. That is my favorite song on the album. Sentry the Defiant and the Hard Sell are both pretty heavy tracks as well.
You DO realize that all of C&C's stuff is based on Claudio's literary creation, The Amory Wars, right? You can't expect a large saga of anything to have one consistent sound or mood. Learn to understand the music, not just listen to it because "YEAH MAN FUCK, IT'S SO HARDCORE"
no... because between coheed, shabutie and prizefighter inferno theres so many different styles of music covered. coming up with a soundtrack of 16 or so songs being as different possible over each album is like a game to me.
Hah you said that before colors came out .. Bet you feel foolish now huh ?? Coheed = space progressive except colors which is pop rock .. Don't misunderstand meh .. I still wear it out lol
i have a very clear 'least favourite' though, because we all know that YOTBR just wasnt QUITE the same? :/ thats not saying its not good, its kind of the same as saying 'hawaian pizza is my least favourite pizza'...its still pizza and all pizza is amzing just like all coheed is amazing but its ok to have opinions!! :) i also have a favourite coheed album too(we all know that as incredible as GAIBS4 is the afterman albums are their most superior works)
My least favorite is color before the sun because to me it sounds like a contemporary radio rock album. It's not really poppy. Faint of heart, blood red summer, and a favor house Atlantic are what I'd call pop-sounding. Actually CBTS was pretty good. I wore that album out for a while. I think I'll revisit it now that my tastes have grown past "old coheed" which will forever be my favorite.
2:04 This line is lifted word for word from Boardwalk Empire. Always thought that was bizarre. Maynard did the same with "an inoculation against fear.." from the show Rectify.
There's many band with this kind of connection; C&C, The Dear Hunter, Circa Survive, Tides Of Man, Closure In Moscow, Thank You Scientist, As Tall As Lions and others. Don't know why, but for a reason have some sort of similarity.
This album sucks.. Its like pfi and only 8 songs... And only two songs are guitar heavy... I was so excited for a double album... Not two pfi eps... Hopefully the second part will be heavier...

Ohhh yeah !❤❤

This song is amazing
its not underrated
none of their stuff is.
theyre all hidden gems.
keep sakes for those who cherish such things :)
☝️🙏
Coheed is pretty popular fam. Their songs are def not all hidden gems lol

Lyrics for people who dont know them❤
It's hard to say this when it pertains to Coheed but these might be the deepest lyrics in their catalog
Still blasting this in 2023. My favorite band of all time
I just started listening to full albums and..... wow!!!!
2024
Woohoo!@@Jollyh10596
This song brings me closer to Heaven. The moment it drops into the rhythm change, "Oh, it's no surprise nobody listens anymore..." I nearly go insane.
YES
This album doesn't suck. you suck, the afterman is awesome! I'm a long time fan and I think this band has never been better!
this band gives me hope for the future

Unheavenly Creatures we all to the end
"In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3" is their best album.
Love this!
You missed a lot of really good concerts, but the music is gr8. Some of this will stand the test of time
I’m going feral, this song makes me want to break into a dead sprint in the middle of a storm
Why just sprint when you can become the storm.
Storm against the cogs in the wheel, my child. Storm out free.
No surprise
@@dilanlimoncostelos2 or just keep running
These vocals man
That opening guitar riff, though! So sick. The rest is just icing on that perfect, and heavy af, riff.
among these few songs ( in the flame of error, colors, subtraction, and mothers of men) that as far as I know, they haven't played live with audience.. this is the song that I really want to hear live.
Never gets old
I guess its a good thing Coheed doesn't take your advice. I'm loving this album. Been a fan since Shabutie, and loved em ever since.
Favorite song on Ascension
Can't listen to this without the following song.

So, why do Iive with this?
No difference
Love the sound of that baritone
by far the best of the best
This song's hitting different in 2024.
Love the guitar riff
This song is just ahhhhhhhh

This guy's right. These songs all have a story behind them. As the character grows, the songs change.
Um ya smfh lmfao
i buyed them both
going to see these guys tonight... hope they play this
Did they play it?
@@jmast1 Sure Did! Awesome live show.
Here in 2021
Wish they'd come to Washington!
Did you see the South Park picture Coheed facebooked? It had a knock off Coheed (Keywork) and Saosin poster haha. Very funny and cool.
Amazing.
Excelent!
AWESOME
"Another cog in the wheel" gives me salvia flashbacks. I WAS a cog in the wheel of life..
Sweet song trying to learn it
no... because between coheed, shabutie and prizefighter inferno theres so many different styles of music covered. coming up with a soundtrack of 16 or so songs being as different possible over each album is like a game to me.
listening to this while fading into a cough syrup induced Fugue. I have a cold
Thats a great feeling man lol
Noiceee
I hope it was Bucklies
I feel sorry for those who are disappointed with a coheed album or have a "least favorite"...
AMEN.
+Paige Schwartz My least favorite album is the one they're currently working on, because I don't get to hear it yet lol

Maynard did the same with "an inoculation against fear.." from the show Rectify.
Afterman had so many bangers they had to put it in a double album lol
That's funny because its my favorite.
Алекс Волков knows what's up.
Whoa that was a typo...but i am going to leave it there because it kinda fits
"your day will come...."
Battle we have same name
oh my god yes XD I shared that shit it was funny
It's half of a double album, it isn't supposed to be long.
Shortcut Like
What is this song about?
I disagree, everything will look better once you look inside yourself
This song gets me so hard...
Congratulations.
>buyed< It's 'bought'
Fooly Cooly
I was today years old when I noticed the "I gotta take a shit" at the end hahaha
man anyone know music similar to coheed?
aaaaa saosin
impossible
the band Saosin kinda sounds like them
The Sound Of Animals Fighting, another one.
Why do fans of coheed and cambria listen to the dear hunter. Or they supposedly sound similar. I don't see it at all
what about thank you scientist? By
far I think they sound he most like Coheed
There's many band with this kind of connection; C&C, The Dear Hunter, Circa Survive, Tides Of Man, Closure In Moscow, Thank You Scientist, As Tall As Lions and others. Don't know why, but for a reason have some sort of similarity.
Cameron Stuhler 3
he must be on some intense drugs
reminds me of a few ppl i know
