I love my TN. I can’t see any other system or planner that would fit what I use it for. I have a hobby I’m journaling which takes 2 inserts, then a grid insert I’ve made into a two year monthly planner, and another insert is now a travel journal…but everything is in one place, I don’t have two or three books on the go, and when I go anywhere and take my TN I have everything I need…no risk of getting to a campsite for instance, setting everything up, looking fa journal and find I’ve picked up the wrong one 😀 My gel pen fits on the holder, and my multicoloured pen and propelling pencil sit in the side under the elastic. And a ruler etc are in the craft folder. Perfect setup ❤️

Thanks for the update, Paris! I use a Hobonichi Weeks as my main planner again this year (original TR paper). My two TNs are for journaling, notes and scripture memory verses (For that I use a TN undated weekly and just extend the lines to the right page. On the left page I write the verses in English and on the right side in German. The verses come from Robert j. Morgan´s book "100 Bible Verses everyone should know by heart" which I love. This year I´m just writing them, next year I will incorporate them into my weekly planner to attempt to memorize them (my brain gives me a hard time with that so I just take it slowly). For work I use an A5 Leuchtturm original paper dot grid notebook as a bullet journal and have done so for years. I really need to keep work and private life separate to give my brain rest from work issues. I am in love with the TN system, so I will use the dated TN weekly memo in my blue Kyoto edition TN as a planner plus grid insert (my favorite) for notes. Scripture, notes and journaling will be in my other two TNs. As for content, I love everything you do, sweet sister! I would love to hear what scripture you are currently reading. Do you follow a plan? Sending love and praying for your health!

Thank you so much for your love and prayers! It means so much to me, my dear sister! May God bless you always! Oh I wish I purchased a weeks planner this year. I totally forgot that this would be the last year of OG TRP. I love how you use your tns! I actually have that book somewhere, I've never used it. I definitly need to find it now! That's such a good idea! I am the same way I need to keep work and private separately. I like to just my iPad for work, using digital calendars and notebooks since things change so much. I prefer analog, but for work it's easier since it since to all my devices and I can delete everything vs shredding. My tns and notebooks are my happy places. I don't need or want any stress in there, lol You have the blue Kyoto!! I've always wanted that one! In my opinion that one is the most beautiful edition they released so far. Does the stamping fade easily? That was always a fear of mine and why I never purchased one. I love rose gold and blue, it's such a perfect combo!

@@FrenchyInFocus Honestly the blue Kyoto is my favorite TN and hasn´t left my desk yet (in over a year). So it´s still perfect. Very nice leather and beautiful foiling. I´ve recently seen a very well used one and the foiling was still great and not much faded. So I´ve decided not to baby it any more and just use it next year. My second favorite is the cameI. It just feels sooo nice (using a Passport as my wallet and a regular for journaling). Also got the black Tokyo edition recently. The leather was very stiff and not nice to the touch so I slathered it with leather balm a couple of times so now it´s at least decent to the touch. The silver holographic foiling makes it a dream team with the Kaweco Sport iridescent pearl. What I like about Morgan´s book are the articles on the verses. Very inspiring.

@@MidlifeByKirstin Oh I will have to hunt down a Kyoto edition then, it's my dream tn! I was thinking about purchasing the Tokyo one, but I already knew the black leather wasn't my favorite. Ahh you are right!! That kaweco is the perfect pen for that tn! As for the book, I will need to order another. I think it was misplaced during all the moving around we did last summer. My pastor gifted us all a copy during the holidays and it was on my list of to dos, but I was too focused on finishing my reading plan lol

I also switched to a sterling ink. Well actually, I’m still using my hobo to complete out the year, but I added the sterling ink b6 common planner. At first, I was really excited and my pens were working really well with it. After a few weeks, I’ve run into dry, awful pages again 😬

@@StationeryDumpling I’m still using this hobo too but more for fun I guess. I refuse to use my good pens with this paper. I’ve been using random ink samples I don’t love and a cheap fp. This paper is not worthy 😂 I feel so guilty for tossing the first half and feel like I wasted so much money on this system that I have to at least do something with the second half. Are you still gonna buy hobonichi next year? Or will you just bullet journal with the good hobonichi notebooks? I’m so conflicted 😐

I truly love your TN covers - I have mine which I’d love to be fuzzier but it’s quite smooth in places. Do you do anything besides daily use to get them looking like that? Yours look like suede. I bought the blue as I loved yours so much. I have to say that I agree with you - the Sanzen paper is very inconsistent in my Cousin. Mi have he full year and not the Avec. I’m using my TN as a place to write my journal prompts and scriptures I want to collate but I love my Cousin layouts. I can be writing smoothly with my fountain pens (the F and EF points are more problematic on this paper) and then suddenly my pen skips. At first I thought it was my nibs, but testing on other paper confirms it’s Sanzen. I think in trying to combat the issue of bleeding, they inconsistently coated the paper. The best ink by far on this is De Atramentis black ink and my Leonardo or Sailor pens. Next would be the Iroshizuku inks. But Diamine and FWP inks have issues with this paper. Love to see you back sister with your updates ❤

You have to try the tape method!! My olive was smooth like the black tns, but now it's just as fuzzy as the camel. I don't upkeep it either, it just stays soft and fuzzy. I have a ytshort on how I did it, but it's just covering the tn in packing tape, rubbing it so it adheres well and pulling it off☺ As for the paper, I feel so confused. I felt crazy at first thinking there was something wrong with my pens! I usually write with EF and F, so I did try a B and that's a bit better. I still had skipping and bleeding issues too. The paper robbed me of both my money and my joy of writing with fps. Who would've thought that paper would be so important, lol. So far, the Sterling Ink paper is a lot better, which gives me some hope😅 I'm assuming its is a newer version of Sanzen, maybe a better quality? I miss decorating in a Cousin. I love the A5 size and having so much freedom. I love my tns too, but I know archiving them won't be as satisfying as putting one or two bound books on a shelf. I also adored having all the layouts in just one book vs all these inserts. Do you have any idea what you would use next year?? I know it's early, but I feel like the options are limited if your into a Cousin style planner. 😔

@@FrenchyInFocus ohhhh I didn’t know about the tape method! I must check out the short on your channel, thanks sister! 🥰😍 Since writing this comment, I have been using the Weeks and A6 and it’s weird…no issues yet like in he A5. So far… it’s disappointing that the A5 has been also giving me problems, but I also moved away from it recently because honestly, I started getting tired and also lacking time to write a lot. I, going through a different phase but I’m sure I’ll go back to the A5 at some point. At this stage, I will get the Weeks ( I have a gorgeous Piece cover for it and it’s versatile), and use this as a summary of my work/ personal commitments as well as keeping track of scripture readings for the day. Im currently enjoying the A6 because it’s cute and compact and the decorating is minimalistic. I love that we go through phases and seasons - makes life interesting. I don’t think I can stick to one method for the whole year. I do love the weekly layouts in the A5 though I have the Weeks. It’s just different. So I’m tossing up between the A5 and A6. If I go A5, I think I might go Avec only because it’s not as bulky as the whole year.

@@SM-JIL be careful I heard the paper for 2025 is so much worse and thinner. There’s so many RUclips video rants lol. I hear you on going smaller, I’m in that phase too, I purchased a smaller journal for next year and have been using a b6slim for my prayers and I’m in love with the b6slim it’s so perfect and easy to deco too lol idk if you have seen my mini faith workbook videos, but it has been a struggle for me this year with a chronic disorder that came out of the blue, I was running laps and being a rollerskating queen to become a potato in pain in a short month. Lol well cus of that I haven’t been wanting to journal as much as I used to. I really thought of buying an a6 because of this and they are so cute aren’t they!!!!

As far as I know, the 2024 Sterling Ink planners are still old Tomoe River Paper, not Sanzen, which is why you probably prefer it to the one in the Cousin. I‘m really disappointed with the new paper as well and will probably not be getting my usual Hobonichi for next year. 😢 I know that it wasn‘t choice, the manufacturer discontinued the 52gsm paper but I‘m really sad about it. Thanks for sharing with us, I love seeing how other people use their planners and journals 💌
