Met him years ago, on the cusp of their success. He was using a Mesa Boogie Tremoverb. He was telling me how versatile it was. Move to today.. I still love my Tremoverb that was recommended to me. Irony, my main amp today is profiles of my Tremoverb on my Kemper. Thanks Tom.
This is my favourite of all the episodes, so far. No Doubt are one of my two favourite bands from the 1990s. And one more thing: I will always prefer and play the Pink ― Super Slinky and Paradigm Super Slinky gauges: .009-.042. Cheers!
Yeah Tom . Long time no see . Don't know if you remember me . Landon , you and Adrian did a demo for us at the No Doubt house in Anaheim . Box Car Wino with Nolan . Stoked to see you living your dreams 🙏
This one needs more views. I'm not a No Doubt fan but this is so honest and real. Most guitar players will never be the next Yngwie but we can still right good songs.
Hamer USA is gone, the Hamer name got bought by another company that just started making Asian import versions of some of the original models... definitely not the same.
If he had played in a virtuosic style, No Doubt wouldn’t have existed. Or it would have been shit. Tom also makes the best decision any guitarist can imo: he leaves the needed room for the bass i.e. loads of it. Most guitarists chew up too much of the scenery imo to the detriment of the sound...plus the Hamers are still the best.
Yes Tom SAY IT CLEARLY FOR EVERYONE TO HEAR IT!! TRUE MUSIC IS FROM THE HEART AND ALL THE REAL MUSICIANS ONLY NEED THEIR EARS TO MAKE MUSIC!!!! SO THEORY IS JUST A WAY TO MAKE MONEY AND TEACH PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT NATURAL MUSICIANS TO PLAY OTHER PEOPLES MUSIC THROUGH THE WRITTEN LANGUAGE OF MUSIC THAT WAS CREATED FOR THOSE 2 PURPOSES!!! ( to feel like a musician when you arent, and to make money teaching that ) : /

no need for shredding to be a great guitar player. What a great tone and vibe coming from your playing Tom!
seriously underrated guitarist and songwriter
No Doubt's Tragic Kingdom was a great album - every tune was a hit.
Underrated classic of the 90s...that says a lot.
Tom is a great guitarist!! He's definetely my favorite!
Seems like a humble and honest guy. Love No Doubt and hearing him play, great tone and riffs.

Tragic kingdom is my favourite album of all time
I LOVE how versatile and tight his guitar playing is, yet keeps No Doubt sounding chill and groovy etc
I have one of the 2009 Tom Guitar picks. He threw it out to the crowd at Darien Lake, NY concert. Great interview.

After all this time, i just noticed he has humbucker sized p90s in the hammer explorer.
Seymour Duncan Phat Cats, he has those in many of his guitars. The Korina Hamer Explorer had Humbuckers in it until pretty recently.
great video
Awesome 👌 👌

That bullseye Hamer

Shut up Tom! You're a hell of a guitar player. Stop comparing - you're way above the level you think.
criminally underrated player and songwriter - No Doubt was railed into the ground by Gwen...
So without Gwen, they wouldve been…?
