Ekko has a line in the game. "I used to have a crush, until you started talking to the gun."
17:53 when she asked "are you real?" its so devastating. because of her hallucinations, u know she was genuinely asking. i feel so awful for her
Definitely one of my favorite lines in the entire show
in ekko and jinx's fight, he was replaying how they play fought as kids so he could know what her next move would be and thats how he overpowered her. idk much about league, but i think i saw somewhere that his whole thing is time. thats why he had the watch.
It also symbolizes how they respond to the past. Jinx holds onto it and it actually stunts her growth while Ekko learns from it and that’s how he is able to hone his skills
Plus it's probably forshadowing how he'll have actual time powers in the future, like in the game (I think).
I think I heard somewhere that Ekko had a crush on powder when they were kids. If that’s true, it’s sad how they grew up and fought each other and willingly try to kill each other. But Ekko held back
Yes it is, it's one of Ekko's voicelines in the game when encountering a player playing as Jinx. You can search on youtube "Ekko interaction League of Legends"
Ekko vs Jinx is a very accurate depiction on how an AP Assassin works against an ADC in lategame.
lie, would last much less than that
@@franciscoOrellana29 true, no assasin would hesitate to maul an adc
Literally one ult from ekko can kill any adc
The rune wars was a catastrophy that involved magic. To keep this short a guy wanted ultimate power, picked up an infinity stone and looking for that power ended up destroying everything and everyone around him even himself so this is
why heimerdinger doesnt like magic.
Vi didnt know that the potion lady that saved her life with medicine existed. She totally knew she was dying so she told Caitlyn to bring her to her childhood home so she prolly told her to take her there to die in the last place she was truly happy. I dunno if thats canon, but it could explain why she pitched herself over the cliff with no self preservation
What i love about the firefly bombs is that those were showcased on "progress day"
And then when she is tinkering at her workshop when Silco was angry and visited, she was adjusting the little techs.
And then on the bridge used them as bombs.
She just. Hijacked so much "advanced tech" and masked them as "green fireflies" intending to blame more on that group again, but decided to use them to kill ekko and Cait and piltover enforcers before Vi could get there.
Its so neat of a continuity detail without the focus on it.
the ekko - jinx scenes gotta be my favorite
Imagine your country discovered atomic energy. You've successfully made it into reactors, but you haven't build atom bombs (yet). Now imagine another country - one that has a beef with and you steals your radioactive material and a bunch of research. This other country is known to be very industrious and hates you... The fact that Jayce didn't immediately agree with Mel, when she suggested to build weapons/shields/deterrents speaks volumes about his morals. The fact he wants to think about the situation and the proposition is understandable.
except the undercity isnt a separate country, theyre just treated like one
@@_eIIiotit's an analogy, not a one-to-one comparison. The enforcers don't enforce the law in Zaun, which effectively makes it a different state (even if it is not official)
@@patrikneperfekta7575 oh i know its just an analogy, but with jayce, the most moral thing wouldve been to immediately put all his focus on helping the undercity and being open about everything with the citizens. its not called zaun until they gain their independence i don't think? i would never consider nuking a part of my own country, especially the most neglected people. he's a morally grey character, not a bad person but not a good one either (except if he was real, i would call him an awful person cause hes a politician lmao). he had a bit of reverse character growth as the show went on. viktor had slightly better morals, but he was reckless.
@@patrikneperfekta7575 plus, they do control the prisons in the undercity and therefore enforce laws. they arent even able to vote since the council adds and removes members themselves. its an occupied land. silcos motivation is to gain independence because of this, but he would also be a dictator if he took power.
You are completely misunderstanding his character@@_eIIiot
Can we really call Marcus's actions "Bullshit" when his daughter's life is being threatened by the most powerful Criminal Leader in the Undercity?
Yes, because before he didn't have a daughter, he just went even deeper into sh*t, lol
@@idk-ye7ur are people not allowed to make stupid mistakes when they are young and naive?
when Marcus made his first deal with Silco he probably thought that he could eventually arrest him but then he suddenly became sheriff after Grayson's death and he realized the delicate balance of peace he had to maintain with the head of the Undercity, and just so happens that Silco was now that new head.
@@BlackBurrito9073 I mean if he listened to the orders of his boss he wouldn't have fucked up his whole life
Episode 7 is so lit! Best music, the Ekko vs Jinx scene was phenomenal, loved everything about this one!
fun fac in the game ekko have some dialogs with jinx, and he seems to be in love with her
only 1 year left for season 2
next month now!!
There is a cinematic for the game that shows what I assume heimerdinger is afraid of. Can't remember which one but it's about a dude named ryze
Call of power
Heimerdinger is an intersting case. He is old and has knowledge but is a failed mentor and leader due to his disconnect with what being mortal and poor mean. He is blind to Viktor's plight the same way he is about the undercity. He offers beautiful speeches but no action. And he is incapable of properly guide Jayce and Viktor because he refuses to explain and take the time to actually work with them. He should not have been fired from the Council, but he needed a wake up call.
Hell yeah, been waiting for this one!
FYI - Spoiler free note on which characters can be played in league of legends:
Vi, Jinx, Ekko, Caitlyn, Heimerdinger, Singed (Silco's Scientist/Viktor's friend), Jayce
The Ekko v. Jinx fight has some of the best storytelling in anything I have seen. You understood teh stakes. They grew up together, both the young'uns in the group. That is 100% his hesitation, Vi's comments on how Powder is still in there gave him pause. In the end he isn't wrong though. Not that Jinx is totally evil but she is very far from redeemable.
VI is my favorite but Ekko is like my second fav, he is so f**king cool!
13:10 This part gets me. It's just so solemn and upsetting
Absolutely sobbing
Love your vids bro
I had a strong feeling Ekko was going to survive, but Jinx…..rather Powder for the briefest of moments she was wanting to end it.Her facial expression was asking forgiveness but also a resigned look. She did not want to fight her friend, plus in her mind her sister went off with an enforcer over her,so much trauma she was ready to die to end the pain. Silco could not live without her so he carried her all the way to the doctor in panic. Powder died on the bridge and Jinx was resurrected by the doctor. 😢
This isn't really a spoiler for the show, but lore from the games that the showrunners assume that a lot of the viewers are familiar with, so I don't think it's a spoiler but I'll put it lower just in case, anyway if you want to know what Heimerdinger keeps flashing back to...
It's the Rune wars, a long time ago a cataclysmic war was waged through the use of magic, in particular magical runes that are essentially magical nukes, it was a cataclysmic event in this world reshaping maps, toppling and creating nations,
For most people in Runeterra (the world of the show) it's something that happened a thousand years ago and is at best just a history lesson they slept through,
In real life we might equate it to something like Genghis Khans campaign which killed more people than Stalin and Hitler put together, but which happened so long ago that nobody really cares anymore and most people can't imagine just how brutal that must have been,
But Yordles, what Heimerdinger is, are basically immortal, so he lived through that, he lived through a nuclear apocalypse caused by magic, and gets PTSD flashbacks to it whenever someone is messing with magic too much,
Now imagine his surprise when he walks into their lab and sees something that looks suspiciously like one of those magic nukes on their table
9:25 dammmn you selfish af my guy😂
ep 9 is fire
