Thats rightt, when practice or doing pre recording usually they not dressed, wear mask and hard to tell apart with the dancer. Thats how camera can more focus on them or fans can find them easily. Pardon my English
It's for the cameras to be able to focus on the individual members during their part. They take a pre-recording sometimes during a dance practice, and the camera directors analyse it so they know beforehand and are able to change cameras or follow the member immediately without any lag
I think they need to send their performance to whatever award show they will be performing in. I think it’s for getting an idea on how the sets should be for their performances.
So they can write the formation on the notebook and recreate or change the formation so they not get confused. Also they have performance director, so it's help the director to give the idol any changing
