Nice video! This tournament thing, it should be a beginning of something which can happened more often, like every 2 month or every 3 month. Lots of highly geared player would participate for sure and it would be interesting for new players to see that Aion have something like this happening in regular intervals of time. Rewards of the tournament and who wins is not that important, what matter is the intention and that players can enjoy in tournament wise PVP fights. Good work!
Thanks for your nice comment. It was quite complicated to organize but I was lucky to have a co-host. Ideally we could make it happen again in some time - I don't want to make the mistake of going too soon and without planning it carefully. This one took me a lot of work to make it "ok" and we still got criticism.

Quite simple: based on a poll we decided not to allow ult forms. For runes, the decision was either to remove runes and glyphs or let them be used. Not very simple to ask people to strip of gear pieces trust me
Do you realize that tournament is unbalanced? Is like full burst vs full burst to all classes. And ofc, assassin and bard has the biggest chance to win. That's why is the arena into game, to win more rounds vs same enemy. You did that tournament fot us to see how unbalanced is assassin and bard classes? This is the reason why a lot of good pvp ppl didn't comes there.
The tournament was setup exactly like an arena, or at least as close as possible, we only allowed 30s of recovery time between each match (matches are composed by best of 3 fights except finals, best of 5). And it was only because we wanted players to refull. Therefore players had some buffs on and off depending on the round. I take it you did not see the full thing before writing this!
Looks like that Have sin hacks? How the f do you throw a rune carve 5 in an instant without the animation of the Ripclaw strike? He did the same to the cleric and the Sorc? llol. Or is the game different now for sin?? Lol
I went to check, vs the cleric you can see Ripclaw strike quite clearly at 9:09. Against Tzu I don't see it that clearly because he was immediately transformed into a tree, but he does at 15:52 . In any case we monitored everything with dps meters to make sure there was no cheater.
@@Nukedw after watching it a couple times, I still don't see any Ripclaw. And how does he do 2 rune carve 5 back to back? First one was the silence and then another ripclaw to stun? Does sins have two new Ripclaw strikes? And i play sin, doing a ripclaw w.o animation? I didn't even see the beast animation come out. And that's a slow animation where the target haves to stay still. If u try clicking it while moving, your body comes out of hide.
You can wait for aion classic to maybe open in europe and NA. Also, if you want to feel again the old experience, you can join a private server which i am currently playing. Aion Empire, 1.9 retail version. It's a russian server but there are lots of english players. I've seen peak of 1.8k players. I am playing on elyos and can help you if'd like to try it.
ulti form not allowed among other limitations, I think the most p2w thing here is gear. In Italian you would say "se nasci tondo non muori quadrato" - it means if you are born a circle you don't die a square. I can't transform a p2w game in a 100% fair fight. I already exposed myself and co-hosts to alot of criticism by limiting many things
@@Nukedw it's not against you, i'm just mad about ncsoft and gameforge... I used to love this game... I'm happy some people can still enjoying it, but they took wrong decision and for me it's dead... I just remember the: don't worry it will be just cosmetics promise....
Actually playing with rune +20 will make you win this tournament easy ... rules should be more strict ... no runes allowed at all & glyph also and ultiform ! Then it will be more usefull ! Because people using legendary apostle transf +10 ! It has 200+ pvp attack and defence its unfair at all

What a shame for AION... the game was so good and now... ? I want a new AION.
