- One of the first robotic vacuum cleaners was the Roomba Discovery 4210 from 2006 / 2007. With carefull maintenance it is still fully working today - in 2021.
I have two of these bad boys still up and running. I have been replacing parts, taking them apart for repairs and cleaning, and a bit of soldering for 17 years now. They work very well, but it’s more of a hobby. Good job keeping your Discovery alive.
Where did you get the replacement battery?
I have several of these, many I bought on Kijiji for $20, and they all work flawlessly. On average I replace the batteries every 2 to 3 years, do a little cleaning using an air compressor to blow away some dust and away they go. Great little machine for bare floors or low pile carpet.
I think the video is only 2 mins long because that's how long before the battery craps out.
No, there was already a replacement battery installed. However, sold it meanwhile on ebay.
No it's longer than that
Do you know how to reset this model ? :)
Ive got a 560 that works had extra brushes, filters, charger and 2 virtual wall lighthouses and I got charging error 5 twice after replacing the battery even still but since the last time it’s been working fine and it picks up so much and I know it’s not dirty contacts because one time it was from the plug-ins on the side and the other time it was on the dock
@@mifanrobovacs So only the 561 gets charging error 5???
dude i have a roomba scheduler and it runs like crap
Roomba makes beeping sound 0:08*: Toyota: hold my beer
When does power button light flashing red?
ether when it has low battery and its charging or when it runs out of battery
this thing barely vacuums and just sweeps
True but it's so cute. I got a Roomba 600 Series for $200
It's pretty crazy how far these have came honestly. My j7+ works better than my Eureka hepa pet vacuum at times.
