Well, in a simple way, Elpidophoros is an "Ecumenist", saying that Orthodox Christianity is "just another religion" and he promotes the Patriarch of Constantinople as "the first WITHOUT equals" rather than "first among equals (like speaking first amongst brothers). He (Elpidophoros) has been saying controversial things like practically promoting abortion, and being very against the Orthodox Church in character and culture, endangering faith, though of course, in the end, Jesus Christ is the head of the Church and the gates of hell won't prevail against it. In a nutshell, Elpidophoros is the Archbishop (big leader figure) for the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese (being in charge more or less for Greek Orthodox around the world, but not the Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Jerusalem, Antiochian, Orthodox Church in America, or other Orthodox Churches of course) and is being very, well, controversial and "my way or the highway" in his position of immense power (and some say under some other powers that be). I agree with Father Gilcrist to a point but to not be willing to allow the Holy Spirit to work change in some none doctrinal areas runs the risk of making the church sclerosis ossiffied and irrelevant . It also leads to a kind of Pharrisseeism in a church more concerned w/ preserving it's Traditions rather than allowing the Tradition and Scripture to work change in the world especially on challenging social issues society faces.

What version of the Holy Bible does the Orthodox Church use?
@Phyllis Tausch Thank you.
Unfortunately, I will not be able to get this Bible any too soon. I live on SSI and just cannot afford right now.
@Phyllis Tausch thank you so much. I appreciate your help.
Well I don’t know if AB Elpidophoros is as steadfast as the other bishops
Beautifully understated.
We are led by flawed men and sadly one seems set to embrace open rebellious and behave shamefully.
I'm new to Orthodoxy but what is bad about Elpidophoros?
