BAM is back again with another video FINALLY! I had some serious PC issues (had to build a new one from scratch!!!), as well as some personal stuffs to deal with, so I apologize for the delay on this one. I'm also still learning the ins and outs of my editing software, DaVinci Resolve 18, so it can take quite a bit of trial and error to get even CLOSE to what I want to do.
Today's ABIOTIC FACTOR video is just a basic locations guide. Nothing special, but can be useful for some of you. The water sources that never run out are pretty scarce throughout the facility. And, IMO, building your bases close to these can save time and grind. So I did my best to scour the entire map and give you all something to go off of. If you're looking for something specific, hop to the chapter you need. Or just sit back, relax...and enjoy the content!

There is a spot in the maze area of the mines where theres some antiverse juice, which is 2X as good at quenching thirst, and ya dont need to puryify it. and yes it can be used in cookin (yust acts the same as water)
I think I know where you're talking about. I remembered it after I made this vid (of course!).
For the first spot, there's a security office near the place Dr Jager met his end. It has a little storage, a long couch for sleeping, somewhat near the water spot and on the other side close to starter bathrooms, has a coffee dispender and vending machines and has a working cooking spot.
@@anonymouskay2 I know where you're referring to. Not a bad spot at all. I've seen a couple of folks use that for a starter base.
I personally like to be out a bit further (pool is my top spot) so I'm not running back and forth too much, but to each their own!
Good stuff! As the base builder of my group, it's nice to see I didn't miss anything, though I do find myself wishing we'd set up initially in the gym rather than the data farm office. Those first three nights dodging the security robot until someone finally kited it into the glass window by accident were... Interesting. I ended up hiding behind the computer terminal until it went away! XD

It took me longer than most to set up my first base location. I explored quite a bit before choosing that pool area. So, don't feel bad you set up elsewhere to start. The bot can be tricky early on, for sure!
I have some big AF vids I'm working on, but it takes a bit as I'm learning how to edit for maximum effect. But, never fear! More is coming!

Yeah, the game is slightly niche, and it is definitely a struggle bus to gain followers and viewers as a new, small channel.
But I just gotta stick with it. And seeing comments like yours sure do help with that motivation! So I truly appreciate it!
Installed myself up in Security (The Accreditation lv1 place next to Manufacture)
=> Water needs aren't so hard to cover.
@@Ugarimpty depending on your character build, water might not be a big deal to some. However, needing to boil it for farming (prior to getting the filtration system late game), which is a HUGE boost to having food and buffs throughout the entire game, cannot be downplayed.
Less grind for passive stuff like that makes the game far more enjoyable, IMO.
@@bigkidBAM can't disagree, but I predict a build or furniture you'll be allowed to craft to gather clean or unclean water easilly (Maybe a water collector machine or a pump station, who knows.) since it's basically what the game's been doing so far : slowly giving access to more and more comfort and tools to put a base anywhere.
@@Ugarimpty that would be cool, and there's definitely going to be changes to tactics and playstyle as they release more. Same thing happened when I played Grounded. So much new stuff and the meta changed every time.
Pretty sure there is an infinite water source at the very bottom of manufacturing in the area with the pests and peccary. It is not a very useful spot but it is there.
With the pests??? You mean down somewhere in the radioactive lake and containers? Not sure where you mean, but I'll look around for it! Thanx!
There is an infinite water source anywhere if you’re willing to work for it. Fill water bottles with tainted water from fountains and boil it, pour boiled water into water cooler. infinite clean water!
@@Veegs. that's quite literally what this entire video is about, bud. All of these sources are tainted water that you need to boil (except the water tanks) to drink and farm with. Otherwise you're just using water coolers that don't last long.

@@WhatIsTheHeat no, there's another water source at the very bottom of some caves. You get there fairly early after jumping through a portal and it pops you out in the water. It's alien water and not much around you, so still a off and away base location. But still an infinite water source I should've included in the vid
