Thanks so much for doing this tutorial, for some reason i have so many issues getting the clay out of the mold without ruining it. I think I will deffinetly try getting the tools you have and take more time working it out. thanks again for the tutorial I appreciate all the info ☺
Hi Leigh,Lovely Tutorial, I Have Used The Mather Stuart Air Drying Clay And It Is Very Good,I Bought It As A Kit A Few Years Ago,And Have Used It All Up, But Still Have The Molds,Have Not Tried It With The Clay We Get In England Though,I Will Say The Air Dry Is Brilliant To Make Things With And If You Are Posting It Does Not Cost An Arm And A Leg To Send In Rakes To Subbies TYFS Big Hugs Lynn :))Xx
hello Lynn, my mom said i played with the air dry clay when i was a little kid, lol im going to have to by some nd try it again, oh yes this will be items for RAK, teeehhheehhhheeee, tyfw, xoxo
Well howdy you Texan, you !! I am just a bit west of Mineral Wells, just north of I-20. Not that far considering sometimes our nearest neighbor is in the next county, lol. Hugs (Felicia)
Hello Felicia, ive only lived here 2 yrs so im not sure of any thing around here, o wait i cant find the hobby lobby in my town lol yup, but johnny said your not to far a way, cant wit to get to no you xoxoox
MY GRANDAUGHTER LOVES MAKING THESE. THE AIR DRY CLAY IS ALOT SOFTER. BUT THEY DONT DRY AS WELL THEY KIND OF BEND AS DRYIMG. DONT STAY FLAT LOL. AND DONT COME OUT OF MOLDS AS WELL. IVE TRIED USING BABY POWDER ON MOLDS FIRST TO HELP THEM POP OUT. BUT THINKING THE BAKE CLAY UR RIGHT IS THE WAY TO GO. AND SINCE MY LIL ONE IS ONLY 6 WE USE A BAKING BENCH SCRAPER ITS NOT SHARP LOL. BUT DO U EVER HAVE TO PREP UR MOLDS WITH ANYTHING PRIOR TO PUTTING THE CLAY IN THEM? TY LOVED WATCHING THIS. GOD BLESS 💕
Hello, i think you should try the poly bake clay, the turn out is really nice, i do not prep my molds, i just make sure they are clean, and let the clay sit or set up for a few mins before you pop out, the kids can play and do must of the work and you just cut the extra off and pop out, cant wait to see yours, xoxo
On all of those molds, you should be able to bake your pieces IN the molds. Silicone has heat resistance up to around 350 degrees F. or higher. Even in the Amazing Mold Putty, or the others similar to them. Test one. It won't hurt the mold, it won't discolor it, it won't harden it. For that really delicate flower mold, before you give it away, test it by baking your piece in the mold. you got it for a reason, don't give up on that reason.
i already gifted it away, but also when I make my clay molds i make a lot at one time so only cooking one at a time would take to long, and they come out so easy, but if i ever get a hard one again i will surely try this, thank you xoxo
