I was a Sophomore in high school back in 1992 when I first saw the video and heard this song. Both my Sister and I share the same birthday but we are 6yrs apart and June 5th is our day. She passed away in 2012 from heart failure and to this day when I hear this song, I can feel her soul intertwine with my mine and it always calms my fears and pain of losing my Gemini twin!.... Sade has NEVER been really really dark skinned... even in her earlier videos. It must be the bright lights that are making her look lighter lol. Anyway, doesn't matter to me. She's super talented and lovely. Even if she did lighten her skin (which I doubt) doesn't take away from the fact that she's an awesome musician and THAT IS NOT FAKE!!! :)

That raw & heavy guitar combined with her smooth sikly vocals 🤩 this version made me emotional and she seems to be maturing like fine wine. I don't know how she did it but this version is a major improvement over the original song. Way glad I grew up with this music, real music!

Stuart is an amazing musician. He’s incredibly gifted and I love his style of playing. He is the perfect blend to Sade’s voice whether it be with the guitar or when he plays the sax. The entire band is flawless.

I had the privilege to be at this exact concert, it was my very first concert, MIND BLOWING, the overall lighting and visual effects took you into the music and her BAND, to hear them in person stirred all kind of emotions inside! I have since been to other concerts which were different genres of music, But nothing has topped this concert! I guess like one of her songs say “ it’s never as good as the first time”

The Deftones released a cover of this song in 2005 much in the same vein. I like to think that both versions influenced this performance - an honest and raw display of musical greatness.
