So this basically explains why aang became a master at 11. That vacuum ball is a cold blooded murder technique. Probably one of the few the air nomads had. Seeing how they were pacifist vegetarians it was probably a forbidden, even despised technique. Then comes aang, and he makes it into a fun way to ride around. He made it into a game, a useful tool. That move could kill just about any one, you can't nock a vacuum away, you would have to hit the Airbender without any air in your lungs and most bending requires a lot of movement. Aang so perfectly embodies his cultures ideals its crazy. It makes sense that gyatso loved him like a son, he was seconds away from running away with him. God if gyatso had been in the iceberg and we had aang's iron through out the series. Momo doesn't count, I love him but I want badass air uncle with perfect morals. Him and iron would have had some amazing scenes together AND we would have a much better understanding of Airbender culture. This is all head Canon, but it so totally makes sense
Ummm. The vacuum ball thing is actually an invention of Avatar Kuruk. Not Aang. Kuruk was the Avatar before Kiyoshi and Roku. We see him briefly on ATLA. Also it isn't meant to kill. Kuruk loved experimenting with bending and when training with air found an interesting way of using a cushion of air underneath to travel and keep one from falling
I only wished that someone would smash that picture of this Queen that Bolin and Mako’s grandma was holding. I cringed when she paid her respect to her.

He studied every single airbending fact for all his life and was inspired by their moves for his free flowing fighting style . He really had not a lot to change , airbending was the perfect gift for him .
And with this scene, Zaheer just became the best antagonist of LoK. I would go so far to even say the entire Avatar series. Ozai was intimidating, but he was just the same ole tyrannical leader that we've seen countless times. He was only really a good villain when it came to Zuko's development. Azula was a great villain. Cunning and powerful. An elite. But when it came down to it, she broke down. This can be contributed to her life. She may not have shown it, but she suffered just as much as Zuko. Zuko through his father because he was weak, Azula through her mother because she thought that her mom thought that she was a monster. All the 2 wanted was to be loved by the right people. Still I think she was the best villain of ATLA. Amon was intimidating and strong, and his reasons were truly justifiable, but failed to deliver in the finale. Unalaq was trash, nuff said. Zaheer is just as great as Azula, except he doesn't have any real suffering. From what we know of him at least. He just has realistic ideals. And he's so right that I want to see more of him. ESPECIALLY AFTER THIS! He cares about the people, but is cold blooded toward the tyrants. Though his ideology is sort of crooked, "Natural order is disorder." He's still someone I want to see more of. Zaheer FTMFW!!!

Honestly airbendinggot a lot of upgrades in this show . First the return of the air clans through the convergence , then this , then Zaheer finding air's superior element : flying . The only thing that is left I think would be soundbending which would be awesome . Aside from the fighting potential imagine being able to play a piano just by mimicking it , or a whole orchestra for the most powerful !
I'm not saying that the Dai Li stood a chance against the Red Lotus, but I do kinda wish they'd put up more of a fight. The Red Lotus were pretty fearsome both individually and in how well they worked and fought together.
The problem with the Dai Li is that their techniques are ancient. They were created by Kyoshi to protect the Earth King and his interests. They were old in ATLA, but they were fighting teens who weren’t as ready to kill. Just like the White Lotus, in LOK they’re abilities are archaic. Combustion-bending is an ability, and in Pli’s case, a very powerful and controlled one. New airbenders have been popping up. There’s probending, which is all about bender vs bender combat. And the Red Lotus aren’t exactly a group of disorganized kids.
Well since most of them work for dictators (long fen and that queen) I think their loyalty is more like why they are recruted, they could try to train them more but most of their chief only wanted them to keep the population under their control so I don't really think they were that good. They may have been strong during Kyoshi'ss time but it was almost three hundreds years ago. The recrutment must have been less efficient since then.

What a line!
My reaction to Zaheer suffocating the Earth queen: SO SATISFYING!!!!!
agreed
I was like death to the queen
Throw some animal fur in for good measure
@VexHex22 she ate Bosco
LONG LIVE BOSCO
it is kinda like if severus snape killed dolores umbridge
Zaheer: "That was for Bosco"
The first time we ever get to see Airbending used for a truly evil action. Still gives me chills.
Just realize that the air & water bending are very gentle type of element... But with the wrong hands it is quite the scariest.
Zaheer: YOU GET WHAT YOU F**KING DESERVE!!!
my jaw just dropped when i saw this scene. mouth hung open for about like 3 minutes
What’s especially insane to me is that, given how quickly the queen expires, he probably didn’t just bend the air out of her lungs, but rather her whole body. like he probably sucked all the oxygen out of her blood & brain.
Yes . And he did it slowly , making sure she Heard what he had to say .
The oxygen on blood were actually liquid-binded. Most of oxygen we had while breathing were on lungs but not fused with blood yet
@@DanielLennon100 the state of the matter does not …well : matter !
It is weather it is part of air that count . So yeah air bender can bend the O2 directly in your system .
@@stormbringer2840 but air substance in our body mostly found in lungs and stomach and talking about oxygen, it's not found only on lungs in form of air but blood as well in form of blood liquid. Saying we can't live without air and oxygen was equally right but do not assume that oxygen in our body just exist in form of air
@@DanielLennon100yeah I never said it was in the form of air on contrary I said that the state of the matter does not matter , if the substance is present it can be bended .
Therefor the O2 in the body ( blood and cells ) can be bended and extracted .
Amazing scene, the sudden realisation of what was happening shocked me to my core
This is all head Canon, but it so totally makes sense
ah yes everyone's favorite lava-drinking firebender: U n c l e I r o n
@@readingtherapy8376 what episode or book did you see that in
What a breathtaking scene!
I only wished that someone would smash that picture of this Queen that Bolin and Mako’s grandma was holding. I cringed when she paid her respect to her.
Unfortunately, this type of delusional worship happens all the time, be it towards ourselves, our family members, celebrities, politicians, leaders, or even ideologies.
We see the same thing in our own world right now with political figures
the earth queen keeps us safe from immigrants and people who don't want to work. keep attacking patriotic earth kingdom subjects, it shows the true colors of the insane anti-monarchist agenda.
@@smitty1647 Fuck no. This queen has been spoiled all her life and has put a ruin on the economy and all the food.

Favorite villain definitely not my favorite character. Top 5 though.

Its a good thing the airbenders were monks, could you imagine if their was an airbender worldlord
There were the guiding winds, a group of airbenders who didn’t do the whole pacifism thing
Everyone KNOWS he did it for Bosco.
“Maybe I forgot to mention something to you. I don’t believe in Queens.”
-Steve Rogers to Peter Parker, 2016
XD
It's just so strange how he mastered every single possible air bending ability in just a short time
He studied every single airbending fact for all his life and was inspired by their moves for his free flowing fighting style .
He really had not a lot to change , airbending was the perfect gift for him .
I think you're forgetting how Tenzin was starting to floor him in their fight, it's clear he hadn't yet fully mastered every single technique.
"Maybe I forgot to mention something you. I don't believe in queens." Idky but he makes that line super badass
The funny thing is once Zaheer made that air bubble she wouldn’t be able to hear his speech
Nah, he just pulled the air out of her lungs until she died. She could still hear with the air bubble around her head.
@@switchthechannel6317 there wasn’t air in the bubble, that’s how she suffocated, since there is no air there is no sound
Earth Queen death was breath taking
Pli 's death was mind blowing
Ming Hua's death was so *shocking*
Ghazan's death was earth-shattering.
As someone with asthma I say this sub skill of air bending is more terrifying than blood bending.

Thanks.
Azula is trash compared to Zaheer.
Zaheer is love, Zaheer is life.
Zaheer is absolutely the best villain.
I would count Amon number 2, then Azula, and then Vaatu.
Ghaltouni I wish he didn't entirely shave his hair, though... :P
ThePreciseClimber I agree, but he still looks badass.
“You think freedom is something you can give or take on a huwhim?”
“Air bending is the worst. It's Only Defensive!”
Zaheer: *“OBSERVE !”*
When you realize from this scene, Aang could easily kill Ozai if he wants to
Ironic how air benders are the most peaceful people and yet they have the strongest bending that can destroy all benders imagine you just losing ability to Breath without knowing what’s going on that’s how scary air benders are
He didn't just took air away , he collapsed her lungs
Zaheer could kill the Queen without his bending.
True he was already skilled in hand to hand combat before getting his Air bending
I'm really impressed with the fact that even mighty Dai Li couldn't do anything to Zaheer
... a buck says at least one took a dive intentionally because she's a witch. She's not charismatic, she's not a good hearted individual here like pops. She's just uppity
Y’know, I was rewatching ATLA with my grandma and when we finished the Blood Bending episode we talked a bit bout this idea while we made some tea, so when we saw this we immediately looked at each other in a bit of shock
And with that, Airbending had its own version of bloodbending.
This is for Bosco and the earth Kingdom.
An Airbender suffocating a person like this is right next to waterbenders bloodbending as one of the scariest things in the shows.
Further practice may allow an airbenders to pull out the lungs inside out.
I believe this is how Monk Gyatso made his last stand against the firebenders
I'm not saying that the Dai Li stood a chance against the Red Lotus, but I do kinda wish they'd put up more of a fight. The Red Lotus were pretty fearsome both individually and in how well they worked and fought together.
Exactly bruh, dai li we’re meant to be agile and swiftly overpower their opponents but they nerfed them in lok 😐
Imagine some just acted like they couldn't do anything
@@tanti1083 They didn't nerf them, the red lotus is just a lot stronger than the benders in avatar the last airbender lmao
Such a fucking underated series..
He really took the phrase, "Take my breath away" a little too literally
It’s so funny that the earth queen assistant is named GUN.
and that’s for Bosco!
Each of the four bending has a dark technique
You'd think they have a strong Earthbender as the Earth Queen.
Why?
mastergoku4321 Because that’s like having a vocalist being King of the guitar people. Also makes him pretty shitty when he has to defend himself in guitar battle.
Bradley I mean...this is just the leader of a nation you don’t have to be strong to be a leader...look at the president of republic city....i mean it’s not like our leaders are trained in MMA🤣
mastergoku4321 be a lot better if they did.
She is shit as a bender.
I really did not expect him to straight up murder the queen the first time I saw this.
Turn on subtitles when he says "there is only darkness"
I did not expect that.

I remember thinking of this type of killing someone in the first season with Aang. Glad to see it made it to the show!!! :D
And at that moment, we all knew how Gyatso was able to kill an entire room of Comet-Enhanced firebenders
This is how Monk Gyatso killed those firebenders at the Air Temple

@@slowedscenario1678 probably cause it's a monarchy and usually the next king/queen is usually the first born of the family. She was def born a non-bender
Crystal Dragon23 you just made me realize that some of the oldest siblings in atla and lok are non benders
When you realise this is how Gyatso killed the Fire Nation soldiers before dying. The Airbenders are generally peaceful but if they need be they could get creative.
tlok just threw its "for kids" thing out the window. before it was pushing it towards the window.. now it just tossed it
