    The Royal National Park is not only the Oldest National Park in Australia, but it is the 2nd National Park in the world. The US Yellowstone National Park was declared the day before the Royal National Park. True fact.

      @@MollyThompsonx_ The Royal National Park is south of the Sydney metropolitan area. It take about 45-60mins to drive there from most suburbs. Unlike LA & San Diego, which will eventually join together into one large metropolitan mass… because of the Royal National Park, Sydney will never join up with Wollongong (a city south of Sydney at the start of the Illawarra area) because the park is in between the two.

      @@aussieragdoll4840 I live in Southern California, and there is a similar barrier separating Los Angeles and San Diego. It is called Camp Pendleton, which was established in 1932. San Clemente the last suburb which is in LA/Orange CO Metro, than followed by 35 kilometers of no development, just beautiful open land along the blue Pacific Ocean, driving down RT 5 towards San Diego. After that you get to Oceanside, the first town in San Diego County. That 35 kilometer stretch will never be developed, because the Federal military will never give it up. California would love to develop it, because it is some of the best prime Ocean front property in the world, worth billions and billions of dollars.

    Glad you're enjoying Sydney! People going out for drinks at lunch is pretty normal - most people will only have one or two, some people go for three. It's something you will find most people that work in offices do, not just the bankers and finance guys. I work in Sales for a Tech company and its really common. Also after work drinks, on a Friday not common to shut down at 4pm to try and get the best spot for work drinks.

    Seven Mile Beach, Gerroa is pumping over the Summer! Also sad you didn't see any dolphins. I've seen dolphins everytime I've been down Jervis Bay!
    My mum has a holiday house at 7 Mile Beach, Gerroa - Nanny & Poppy's Beach House. Houses about 10ppl & works out really affordable when going with lots of friends.
    Spent many a days on 7 Mile Beach and swimming in the river bit under the bridge . Coolangatta Winery is beautiful too! My mum got married there! Haha. Yum food and nice place to chillax..

    I’m looking to do the route you have done from starting in Sydney then flying to cairns to travel down to Sydney for NYE! Which airlines are best to look at flights internally in the country/ are they expensive? X

    • @MollyThompsonx_
      @MollyThompsonx_  Год назад

      We've always used jetstar although they sometimes get a bad rep, we've actually never had an issue with them! But I tend to just compare on Skyscanner and book whatever comes up the cheapest! We actually flew up to Cairns with VirginAustralia because it was coming out cheaper once we'd added luggage!xx

    Hey Molly,
    I was wondering if you could help me please! I’m from the UK but currently travelling around south east Asia but have plans to do a working holiday visa in Australia afterwards. Did you have to do any health checks before going to Australia because you recently travelled in Asia?
    Thanks so much for help in advance!

    FYI. It's spelt 'Jervis Bay'. Lieutenant Bowen of the Atlantic named it Port Jervis after his superior, Admiral John Jervis. Prior to this, the bay had been dubbed St. George's Head by Captain Cook in 1770.
    Jervis Bay is not pronounced “Jarvis” - back in 1928 the Speaker of the House of Representatives (Sir Littleton Groom), has received a letter from Mr. Jervis Manton, which reads as follows:
    “There seems to be a growing inclination in Australia to mispronounce the name Jervis Bay. May I please assure you that the correct pronunciation of this word is Jervis and not Jarvis. Sir Thomas Jervis was a relative of my grandmother, and godfather to my father who, throughout his lifetime, was always called Jervis. If you will do what you can to maintain the correct pronunciation of Jervis I shall be glad.” :)
    Other than that, great video 👍🏼

      Being from Australia I have to strongly disagree, they sound nothing like any of my Australian family and friends. British accents are very different from Australian accents.
