Reminds me a little of the making of Mop, where they said they essentially redid Creeping Death but did a different theme with it, leading them to ask the question of what's more fun to scream, 'DIE' or 'MASTER' Clearly this guy wanted both, and it's fucking awesome
Ride the Lightning has by far my favorite guitar tone of any Metallica album. Yeah, the overall production on the black album might be objectively superior, but there's a certain balance between the rawness and the clarity here that appeals to me in a way I can't really describe. Also, I appreciate the subtle composition changes you made. Makes the nearly spot-on tone even more convincing. Well done.
I would love to hear Leper Messiah on Ride The Lightning That’s probably their most underrated song from their golden years other than Trapped Under Ice
@@Paparoach101 It's funny because James doesn't like Escape and they only put it on the album so it could be the radio song. They've only played it live a couple times. I really like it and think it has a great chorus
Holy shit, you really caught me off guard with some of the changes you made. With the change in the solo, the inclusion of Creeping Death's "DIE!" and even the MoP demo "Master! Master..!" This blew me away.

Master Of Lightning, Flash Before My Eyes Twisting Your Mind, Now It's Time To Die Blinded By Me, Burning In My Brain Just Call My Name, I Can Feel The Flame Master, Master Just Call My Name, I Can Feel The Flame Master, Master
It would’ve been really good if you used the Master of Puppets (Late June 1985 Demo) version for the vocals, it was james coming right off of RtL so his vocals are very creeping death like
If the best Metallica song was on the best Metallica album? EDIT: Actually hearing the albums again, One is the best Metallica song imo. Definitely not an unpopular opinion, but that doesn't discredit anything. Ride the Lightning is still the best album though
The puppets bass tone, with ride the lightnings guitar tones would be awesome but damn this is fucking amazing man, great job, love the lick/solo thing at the start too
All I gotta say is that your love and passion is clearly seen. This is perhaps my favorite rendition I’ve ever heard of this song, the new breakdown gives me chills. You put a lot of effort into your work and it’s awesome.
The previous version sounded a little more like listening to a worn-out cassette of RtL over the car stero, which is the historically correct way for the album to be heard. Love the gratuitous bass boost of the remaster though.
excellent job. i always thought as far as production 'RIDE' had alot of echo on it and kinda sounded like it was recorded down in a cave and you captured it perfectly.
holy shit i’ve just realised that this was posted today. it’s incredible man!! the DIE, DIE chant, the little lightning-esque shreds (like the one in the beginning), the harmony solo… brilliant. loved it.
